The purpose of this study was to verify the reliability of the instrument and to analyze the contents of the humor. This study was conducted from December 16th, 2002 to January 13th, 2003, centering on Busan Dental Hospital & public health service. A total of 193 questionnaires was distributed for the survey. The result were as followings: 1. There were significant differences in humor values concerning age(F=1l.44, p=0.000), marriage(t= -3.556, p=0.000), education(F=14.83, p=0.000), clinical carrier(F=9.99, p=0.000), status(F=5.83, p=0.001), working place(F=7.39, p=0.000), and living parents(F=3.65, p=0.014). Humor values were higher for over-forties, married dental hygienists, public health service worker and no living parents. 2. There were no Significant correlation between stress and the dental hygienist's humor values. 3. There were significant differences in humor values concerning sources of the dental hygienist's humor. Data related "book/mass media"(t=-6.32, p=0.000), "conversation" (t=-12.05, p=0.000) and "daily life"(t=-10.33, p=0.000) are examples of these sources. 4. There were no significant differences in humor values concerning the dental hygienist's humor degree related frequency of used humor. 5. There were significant differences in humor values concerning the type of humor used, "word humor"(t=-7.00, p=0.000), "imitation"(t=2.68, p=0.008), "adequate situation" (t=-8.03, p=0.000), "technical terms"(t=6.65, p=0.000) pertain to this. 6. There were Significant differences in humor values concerning the time of using humor expression, "loose situation"(t=-3.75, p=0.000), "tired situation"(t=4.01, p=0.000), "tense situation"(t=5.37, p=0.000), "adequate situation"(t=-16.03, p=0.000) pertain to this.

In this dissertation, the analysis of the study of female customs from late Joseon Dynasty and their genre painting to research humors and its aesthetic senses in that certain era. The purpose of the genre paintings is to look at general populations in an objective point of view and endeavor better value of public life style to embody clear understandings of humanity. The artists such as Hong-Do Kim and Youn-Bok Shin expressed their arts based on reasonable reality with sarcastic but humorous and creative ways to criticize the society's problems with clear statements. Therefore, the formative characters are realism, exaggeration and coloring of the whole arts that represents as innovative and original genre of it's time. Hong-Do Kim and Youn-Bok Shin expressed the women in society as open minded with versatile and refined looks in their paintings as the reality was repressed and closed mind for women figures in late Joseon Dynasty. The female customs in the paintings has both suppression and expression in their dresses and exaggerated shapes of accessories and the use of color were also found. All of these elements has the aesthetic values of satirized eroticism, the hint of next evolution of the late Joseon Era under the conservative disposition of social characters and freedom of expression of playfulness. These elements were new developments and a step forward of female 'sex' and expression of satirized eroticism. The exaggerated and distorted forms and accessories demonstrates unbalanced and asymmetrical elements in humorous characters and they include spontaneity. Also, using the five traditional color schemes of Korean art displays humor in playfulness of an art with splendid and purity, duality of positiveness and artless, smart and elegance looks.

This study is on the various style and characteristics of mask, and was performed empirically by reviewing the related materials such as the literature, precedent studies, fashion works, and home and foreign fashion magazines. As a result of the study, the style of mask in the modern fashion is roughly categorized by full-covered style, half-covered style, and over-half-covered style which is covered over 50% of a face. And, mask is utilized on a hat or a dress all over, or is produced by a elaborate makeup. Mask with lots of variation has three big characteristics, which are sense of disguise, sense of ornamentation, sense of grotesquery. First, sense of disguise means deviation or tool of affectation instead of cultural standard norm through transforming or masquerading as an imagery person or animal in ancient myths, famous artistes, etc. It could be developed to express a designer's identity. Second, mask decorated with various styles and materials has sense of ornamentation, which means natural human desire of expression for beauty, and at the same time human mind longing for experience a fantastic and ideal inner world being deviated from the present world even indirectly. Third, ignoring the original format of eyes, nose, and mouth, using extraordinarily various techniques such as distortion, extreme, exaggeration, concealment, or combining with animal images, mask has sense of grotesquery inducing humor and horror simultaneously.
