미역줄나무의 항암활성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Antitumor Activity of Tripterygium Regelii Sprague)

  • Tripterygium regelii has been used as an oriental medicine, especially antiparasitic, anti-inflammatory and detoxifying agents in East asia. During our research to develop new antitumor agents from natural products, MeOH ext. and CH2Cl2 ext. of Tripterygium regelii showed the potent antitumor activity. In order to purify active compounds from Tripterygium regelii, activity-guided fractionation was carried out. Silica gel and RP-18 column chromatography for the active fraction led to the isolation of two compounds and their antitumor activities were studied. Those two compounds didn't show potent antitumor activity against human tumor cell lines. The structure of two compounds were determined by $^1H-NMR$, $^{13}C-NMR$, DEPT, $^1H-^{13}C$ COSY and IR spectrum. Compound I and Compound II were turned out to be Celastrol, and ${\beta}-sitosteryl-3-o-{\beta}-D-glucopyranoside$ respectively.

  • Tripterygium regelii SPRAGUE is distributed in Korea and Northern China. This extract has been used as a herb medicine, especially antiparasitic, anti-inflammatory and detoxifying agent in East asia. During our research to develop new antitumor agents from natural products, Dichlorornethane (CH$_2$Cl$_2$) extract of Tripterygium regelii SPRAGUE (DTR) showed the potent apoptotic effects in A-549 lung cancer, HeLa-3 cervical cancer, SKMEL-2 melanoma cells in a dose-dependent manner. in order to purify major compounds from DTR, column chromatography was carried out gradually. Silica gel and RP-18 column chromatography for active fractions led to the isolation of a compound. The compound determined by 1 H-NMR was turned out to De Celastrol known to have antitumor activity.

미역줄나무 출현에 따른 분비나무림의 식생구조 특성 (Characteristics of the Vegetation Structure of an Abies nephrolepis Forest in the Presence of the Tripterygium regelii Group)

  • 본 연구는 미역줄나무 출현에 따른 분비나무의 지속성에 대해 분석하고자 하였다. 총 140개소를 대상으로 현장조사를 수행하였고, 미역줄나무의 출현유무와 출현하는 층위 기준에 따라 미역줄나무가 교목·아교목층에 출현하는 유형(TP), 관목층에 출현하는 유형(SP), 모든 층위에서 출현하지 않는 유형(A)으로 유형을 구분하였다. 지표종 분석에서 TP유형과 SP유형에서 미역줄나무가 지표종으로 나타났으며, MRPP-test를 통해 군집별 이질성을 확인하였다. 치수와 흉고직경급 분석 결과, TP유형에서 분비나무의 어린나무 발생량이 가장 낮게 나타나 지위경쟁에 어려움이 있는 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구를 통해 분비나무의 식생구조를 이해하고 보전 및 관리에 기여하고자 한다.

지리산국립공원 천왕봉지역 가문비나무림의 산림군집구조 (A Study on the Structure of Forest Community of Picea jezoensis Stands at Cheonwangbong Area, Jirisan(Mt.))

  • 지리산국립공원 천왕봉지역을 중심으로 분포하고 있는 가문비나무의 생육현황과 가문비나무림의 구조를 정확하게 파악하고자, 가문비나무가 주로 생육하고 있는 지역에 33개의 방형구($20{\times}20$ m)를 설치하여 식생을 조사하였다. 고사한 가문비나무는 주로 상층수관의 나무에서 발견되었으며, 개체수의 비율로는 15.6%이었고, 유묘의 개체수도 매우 적게 나타났다. Cluster 분석한 결과 두개의 집단으로 분류되었다. 개회나무와 당단풍, 미역줄나무, 졸참나무; 좀고채목과 괴불나무; 나래회나무와 시닥나무; 당단풍과 미역줄나무 등의 수종들 간에는 높은 정의상관이 인정되었고, 가문비나무와 구상나무; 좀고채목과 시닥나무; 미역줄나무와 시닥나무 등의 수종들 간에는 약한 부의상관이 인정되었다. 조사지의 군락별 종다양성지수는 1.0000~1.3010범위로 나타났다.

설악산의 식물군락연구 제1보 : 계통 및 군업의 분류 (Investigation Report on Plant Communities of Mt. Sulak. Report I. Researches on the Classification of Formation and Association)

  • 1. The plant communities on Mt. Sulak, a typical alpine mountain in central Korea was researched from the standpoint of ecological survey. 2. The plant on this mountain can largely be classified into 2 categories, the warm zone (below 1100m) and the frigid zone. The former is again classified into a broad-leaved tree formation and a needle-leved tree formation, and the latter is calssified into a broad-leaved tree formation and needle-leaved tree formation, and shrub formation. 3. The broad-leaved tree formation in the warm zone can largely be classified into a Carpinus laxiflora-syringa Palibiniana var. kanibayashi association(1), a Carpinus erosa-Acer Pseudo-sieboldianun association(2), and a Quercus mongolica- Tripterygium Regelii association(3). 4. The needle-leaved tree formation in the warm zone can also largely ben classified into a Pinus densiflora- Miscanthus sinensis association(4), Abies holophylla- Tripterygium regelii association(5), Pinus kordiensis- Rhododendron schlippenbachii association(6) In the association(4), the canopy of the Pinus densiflora is gradually being occupied by the Quercus mongolica which is one kind of broad-leaved trees. 5. We can fully see a DryoPteris type of the flour layer plant type in the association (3) and also see a Sasamorpha type in the association (5). 6. The broad-leaved tree formation in the frigid zone can largely be classified into Quercus mongolica- Rhododendron schlippenbachii association (8). The constituents of tree and subtree layers in (7) and (8) associations are similar to those association (3), but the constituents of the shrub layer are different from those of associtation (3) due to the difference in height. 7. The needle-leaved formation in the frigid zone can largely be classified into Thuja koraiensisRodgersia podophylla var. viritis association (9) and Abies nephrolepis-Acer tschonoskii var. rubripes asscciation (10). The species of alpine plants or subalpine plants are gradually increased in this formation. 8. The shrub formation can also largely be classified into a Rhododendron mucronulatum- Patrinia saniculaefolia association (11) and Pinus pumila associatio (12). Association (12) has largely developed on the windy place. Association (12) was burned due to the bombing during the Korean war, but now we recoginized there occurred an invasion of Tripterygium Regelii in such a place. 9. The herb layer species which constitute the shrub formation are mostly alpine or subalpine plants of small size, and their kinds are also very few. 10. The growth of the Moss layer is especially good because of the varied conditions of the habitat. The kinds which can easily be seen are the genus of Thunidium, Haplocladium, Brachythecium, Macromitrium, Holonitrium, Atrichum, Schwstchkeopsis, Grimmia, Hedwigia, Rhynchostegium and Mnium. 11. The genus of the Sphagnum densly grows like a mat at the acid and moisturous place above 1100m. The authors should express their thanks to father. Perforated Ray Cells in Korean Celastraceae and Oleaceae

  • Ray cells with perforations are recorded for the first time in the Korean Celastraceae species of Euonymus sieboldiana and Tripterygium regelii and the Oleaceae species of Abeliophyllum distichum, Forsythia ovata, Ligustrum japonicum, and Osmanthus heterophylla, All these anomalous ray cells have simple perforations, and the vessel elements of all these species have simple perforation plates, Thus, in the Korean Celastraceae and Oleaceae, the perforations of ray cells appear to be identical with the types of perforation plates in the vessel elements of the same wood, The diagnostic value of the perforated ray cells is also discussed.

설악산 국립공원 대청봉-소청봉 지역의 삼림군집구조에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Structure of Forest Community at Taech'ongbong-Soch'ongbong Area in Soraksan National Park)

  • 설악산 국립공원의 소청봉-대청봉 지구를 중심으로 분포하고 있는 천연림의 생육현황과 구조를 정확히 파악하고자, 이 지역에 36개의 방형구(20m$\times 20m)를 설치하여 식생을 조사하였다. Cluster 분석한 결과 세 개의 군집, 신갈나무-젓나무가 우점하는 능선형 군집, 복장나무-분비나무가 우점하는 사면형 군집, 젓나무-난티나무가 우점하는 계곡형 군집으로 분류되었다. 수종간의 상관관계는 난티나무와 까치박달; 미역줄나무와 개회나무; 미역줄나무와 만병초; 사스래나무와 털진달래; 병꽃나무와 톨진달래 등의 수종들간에는 비교적 높은 정의상관계를, 철쭉나무와 나래회나무; 사스래나무와 당단풍; 사스래나무와 피나무;사스래나무와 함박꽃나무; 거제수나무와 사스래나무; 눈잣나무와 잣나무 등의 수종들간에는 높은 부의 상관관계를 보였다. 본 조사지의 종다양도는 0.8393~1.3431로 비교적 높게 나타났다.
