다목적 회항조선 Double 30 ( woo ) Turn 조성법의 개발에 관한 연구 ( On the New Development of Double 30 ( woo ) Turn Maneuvers )

  • There are some turn maneuvers, such as hard Round Turn, Turning Short Round, Williamson Turn and Single Turn, of effectively returning a ship back close to the original track in case of emergency situations of man-overboard and intentional delay of port entrance time, and so forth. But the author developed the new turn maneuvers of Double 30 (woo) Turn originally by means of simulation experiments of Full-Mission Shiphandling Simulator. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1) By comparison of existing Williamson Turn and Turning Short Round this Double 30(woo) Turn is all-weather multipurpose turn maneuvers in some respects, 2) According to simulation experiments this Double 30 (woo) Turn saved approximately 20-35% of total turning time to the original position and reduced maximum advances by 8-10% approximately in comparison to that of Williamson Turn, 3) Except for emergency men-overboard the Reverse Williamson Turn was proposed as a new reverse maneuver of returning a ship back to the original track.

교차로에서의 좌회전 금지, U-turn, P-turn을 고려한 개선된 Dijkstra Algorithm에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dijkstra Algorithm in Crossroad Including Left-turn Restriction, U-turn, and P-turn)

  • U-turn and P-turn as well as left-turn restriction exist in real traffic network. the optimal route should be selected for considering these using shortest path algorithms. But, the traditional algorithms have some limitations to use for considering there. The objective of this paper is to modify Dijkstra algorithm in order to find the optimal path in real traffic network. The continuous three nodes are used to check turn-restrictions and exclude these from and optimal path. A virtual connection is used to consider U-turn and P-turn.

  • 중앙버스전용차로제는 버스의 통행속도를 향상시키고, 대중교통의 정시성 확보를 통하여 버스를 이용하는 시민의 만족도를 향상시키는 목적으로 대중교통 활성화 정책의 일환으로 추진하고 있다. 교차로 운영방식은 회전 제약, 좌회전 허용, 회전 제약 후 좌회전 U-Turn 허용으로 구분된다. 그러나, 현재 좌회전 U-Turn 등 회전차로를 적용하기 위한 명확한 기준이나 연구가 미미한 실정으로 본 연구는 중앙버스전용차로 교차로 특성요인을 고려한 버스정지선 후퇴거리를 제시하였다. 그 결과, 운영속도 60km/h에서 좌회전 허용시에는 12m를 후퇴하여야 하며 좌회전 U-Turn 허용시에는 17m를 후퇴하여야 하며, 50km/h에서 좌회전 허용시에는 13m를, 좌회전 U-Turn 허용시에는 17m를 후퇴하는 것으로 분석되었다.

4지 신호교차로에서 효율적 자전거 교통류 처리방안 연구 (A Study on Efficient Management of Bicycle Traffic Flow at Four-Legged Intersections)

  • PURPOSES: This study aims to suggest a proper left-turn treatment method for the bicycle traffic flow at four-legged intersections. METHODS: Four types of crossing methods are proposed and analyzed : (1) indirect left turn, (2) direct left turn, (3) direct left turn on a Bike Box, and (4) direct left turn on bike left turn lane. The VISSIM simulation tests were conducted based on forty-eight operation scenarios prepared by varying vehicle and bicycle traffic volumes. RESULTS : The results from the four-legged signalized intersections suggest that (1) the indirect left turn is appropriate when vehicle demand is high, (2) the direct left turn is efficient on most traffic situation but the safety is a concern, (3) the direct left turn on a Bike Box is appropriate when bicycle demand is high while vehicle demand is not, and (4) the direct left turn on a bike left turn lane is appropriate when both vehicle and bicycle demand are low. CONCLUSIONS : The direct left turn of bicycle provides more efficiency than the indirect left turn at the four-legged intersections but to apply the methods and to study more, advanced evaluation methods, related law, and insurance programs are needed.

귀농자들의 농촌정착지원을 위한 프로그램 개발 방향 (Direction of Program Development for Supporting U-turn Farmers' Rural Settlement)

  • The purposes for this study was to provide information for developing educational programs for U-turn farmers' based on their needs on rural settlement. Special objectives of the study were; 1) to survey the general characteristics of U-turn farmers including motives. preparation, and education, 2) to investigate problems and difficulties of the U-turn farmers in rural settlement 3) to identify the reasons for success and failure in U-turn filming, and 4) to provide information in developing programs for U-turn farmers. Data for the study were collected from 526 U-turn farmers throughout the country, and after data cleaning, 494 questionnaires were used for data analysis. Based on the results of this study, the following were recommended for further development of U-turn farming programs; 1) to facilitate and expand continuous surveys on the motives. preparation, education and information for U-turn farmers will be neceassary to update the important and current information on U-turn farming. 2) Further examination of the problems and difficulties of U-turn farmers would be necessary to develop appropriate policies and educational programs for U-turn farming. 3) continuous investigations on the reasons for success and failure of U-turn farming would be necessary to develop appropriate apicultural policies. 4) for more effective educational programs for U-turn farmers. selection of educators, institution, curricular and timing etc. Should be carefully designed to meet the practical needs of the U-turn farmers. 5) more research activities should be encouraged to improve program development and implementation of U-turn farming.

U-turn 설치를 위한 적정 폭원에 관한 연구 (A Study on Appropriate Breadth for U-turn Setup)

  • 교통안전시설 실무편람에 의하면 현재 U-Turn 설치 가능한 지점으로 최소폭원을 '편도 폭 9m 이상'의 지점으로 하고 있으며, U-Turn 허용차량은 승용차로 제한하는 것을 원칙으로 하도록 규정하고 있다. 그러나 최근 대형화된 승용차와 보편화된 SUV(sports utility vehicle)차량이 한번에 U-Turn을 완료하지 못하면서 교통소통과 교통안전에 문제를 야기시키고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실제 차량을 이용한 U-turn 회전반경의 실차 조사치와 교통사고 재현 프로그램인 PC-Crash에 의한 예측치를 비교 검정한 후 PC-Crash를 이용하여 국내 승용차에 대해 U-turn 회전반경에 대해서 예측하고 U-Turn 설치를 위한 적정 폭원으로 제시하였다.

  • This paper deals with a newly developed direction indicator system of a car which displays left turn and U- turn signal differently, so that the following driver can identify the Intent of the next car ahead easily. In general, when a car want to change its direction, the driver move the blinker lever below the steering wheel up or down. However, as the left turn and U-turn signal are the same, there always be the risk of rear-end collision by misinterpreting U-turn signal as left turn signal. In this paper, a new direction indicator system which differentiates left turn and U-turn signal is developed. The left turn signal is the same as before, but when a driver want to U-turn, an additional U-turn signal blinks at the rear of the car. By identifying the direction signals clearly, the developed system is expected to alleviate the risk of car accident.

신호교차로에서 U-Turn허용구간의 위치 및 적정길이 산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on U-Turn Location and Length Estimation at Signalized Intersection)

  • U-Turn은 운전자에게 편의를 제공하며 차량의 소통효율을 향상시키는 측면도 있지만 U-Turn에 대한 설치기준 및 법제규정과 안전시설 설치기준들이 명확치 않아 교통소통과 교통안전에 문제를 야기시키고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 첫째, 교통량과 주행속도를 주요 변수로 하여 차량의 정지시거와 좌회전차량들의 대기행렬길이를 고려한 U-Turn 허용구간과 전방교차로와의 적정 이격거리를 산정한다. 둘째, 현장조사를 통해 실제 U-Turn 차량의 행태를 분석하여 상충형태를 분류하고 상충과 U-Turn 허용구간의 길이와의 관계분석을 통해 차로변경각도와 주행속도를 변수로 하여 U-Turn 허용구간의 길이를 산정한다. 마지막으로 U-Turn허용구간과 후방교차로의 거리는 교통량과 주행속도, 차로변경각도를 주요변수로 하여 간격수락이론을 통해 적정이격거리를 산정한다. 그리고 몇 가지 교통조건들의 환경을 설정하여 모의실험을 실시한다. 이를 통해 본 연구에서는 소통과 안전을 고려한 U-Turn허용구간의 적정길이 및 위치를 제시한다.

고속 스윗징을 위한 새로운 GTO 구동기법 (A New GTO Driving Technique for Faster Switching)

  • This paper presents the design of a new turn-off gate drive circuit for GTO which can accomplish faster turn-off switching. The major disadvantage of the conventional turn-off gate drive technique is that it has a difficulty in realizing high negative diS1GQT/dt because of VS1RGM(maximum reverse gate voltage) and stray inductances of turn-off gate drive circuit[1~2]. The new trun-off gate drive technique can overcome this problem by adding another turn-off gate drive circuit to the conventional turn-off gate drive circuit. Simulation and experimental results of the new turn-off gate drive circuit in conjunction with chopper circuit verify a faster turn-off switching performance.
