  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to figure out influences of supervisor's and colleague's supports, nursing work environment, ego-resilience, organizational commitment and burnout on turnover intention of nurses working in general hospitals. Methods: The data were collected from 379 nurses working in general hospitals with more than 500 beds in S city from July 1 to August 31, 2012. The collected data were analyzed with independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and Hierarchial regression analysis by using SPSS 19.0. Results: In case the subject was young, with work experience of 1~5 years, single, female and position of general nurse, turnover intention was statistically significantly higher. Turnover intention, supervisor's support, nursing work environment, organizational commitment and ego-resilience showed significantly negative correlations, but burnout showed significantly positive correlations. In case of controlling general characteristics, higher correlational variables with turnover intention accounted for 30.2%. Conclusion: In order to reduce turnover intention of general nurses who showed higher intention with 1~5 years' work experience, situational variables such as organizational commitment and nursing work environment and interpersonal relation variables such as supervisor's support as well as personal variables such as ego-resilience should all be considered.

Methods: Participants were 179 new graduate nurses working in general hospitals and small and medium-sized hospitals in Gyungnam province. Data were collected from August 10 to September 16, 2015 through a survey with self-report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis. Results: Mean scores were; for nursing professionalism, $3.62{\pm}0.73$, for job commitment, $3.22{\pm}0.89$. and for turnover intention, $3.25{\pm}0.95$. There were significant correlations between nursing professionalism and job involvement (r=.47, p<.001), nursing professionalism and turnover intention (r=-.36, p<.001), job involvement and turnover intention (r=-.46, p<.001). For turnover intention of new graduates 25.1% of the variance was explained by nursing professionalism (${\beta}=-.16$, p=.034), job involvement (${\beta}=-.36$, p<.001), and frequency of night shifts (${\beta}=.03$, p=.022). Conclusions: Findings indicate that nursing professionalism and job involvement of new graduate nurses had significant influence on their turnover intention. • [purpose] This study was conducted to identify how a hospital's outsourcing workers' QWL influences Turnover Intention and to determine Dual Commitment cause any discrepancies in regards to the link between QWL and Turnover Intention. [Methodology/Approach] The study is based on 254 survey sheets answered by outsourcing employees working at general hospitals with more than 300 beds in Seoul and the methods of analysis used are as follows: reliability analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical regressions analysis. [Findings] The study results First, analyzing how different types of QWL (individual, organizational, managemental) influence Turnover Intention, R2 turned out to be 30.7% and organizational factors and managemental factors show a statistically significant difference. In addition, organizational and managemental factors have negative effects on Turnover Intention while that of organization factors has a bigger influence. Second, verifying regulation effects of Dual Commitment in regards to the link between QWL and Turnover Intention, it is learned that Dual Commitment (hiring firm) has no regulation effects on the link. However, it does have a regulation effect on the link between QWL (managemental) and Turnover Intention. Moreover, after verifying regulation effects of Dual Commitment (client's firm), it is learned that it has regulation effect on the link between QWL (organizational and managemental) and Trunover Intention. [Practical Implications] In conclusion, lower Turnover Intention, it is necessary to impose tasks that suit the employees' competence and to encourage efficiency throughout clear communications and accurate directions.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to review research papers on structural equation models for hospital nurses' turnover intentions, and to identify the factors that influence these intentions. Methods: Twenty-four research papers on structural equation models for hospital nurses' turnover intentions were identified for systematic review. Results: All 24 papers assessed nurses' turnover intentions in general hospitals and university hospitals. A total of 36 indicators and 105 items were used to measure turnover intention. Turnover intention was positively related with 10 variables, and negatively with 17 variables. Organizational commitment, job satisfaction, job stress, burnout, organizational culture, and empowerment were found to have significant direct and indirect effects on nurses' turnover intentions. Structural equation models in 23 of the 24 research papers showed high compatibility with the data. The models accounted for 20.1% 68.0% of total variances. Conclusion: The study findings show recent trends in nurses' turnover intentions, and indicate directions for future research.

  • The aim of the present study is to investigate the structural relationships of organizational work-family support, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention among Korean hotel employees. In order to achieve the study goal, frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and covariance structure analysis were undertaken using SPSS(18.0) and AMOS(18.0). The result shows that organizational work-family support has a significantly positive effect on job satisfaction and it also positively impacts on organizational commitment. However, it doesn't have any significant effect on turnover intention. This study also suggests that each of job satisfaction and organizational commitment has a significantly negative effect on turnover intention. Through the abovementioned results, we can find out that each of job satisfaction and organizational commitment can completely mediate the relationship between organizational work-family support and turnover intention.

  • Up to now, a shortage of SW staff has been a threat to providing satisfactory SW services in Korea. Therefore, it is necessary for us to understand factors that satisfy SW personnel and then retain them not to leave their current job positions. Hereafter, we examine whether SW manpower's job satisfaction fully mediates or partially mediates the relationship between the drivers of turnover intention such as satisfaction on IT education, job fitness, fairness of rewards and organizational moods and turnover intention. Using survey data from 745 SW staffs, we found that all antecedents except for satisfaction on IT education have significant impacts on job satisfaction as well as verified that the job satisfaction partially or fully mediates the relationships between job fitness, fairness of reward and organizational moods and turnover intention. Based on our findings, our results allowed us to provide a deeper understanding of the forces on turnover intention by examining the role of mediating effect on job satisfaction.

  • The purpose of this research was to examine the construct known as job fit perceived by service employees in the foodservice industry. The model was tested using SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 4.0 based on the sample of 667 persons that showed a 95% usable response rate. The results of the empirical analysis showed as follows. First, in restaurants, the employees' job suitability factor brings about an indirect effect by organizational commitment and turnover intention. Second, employees' job satisfaction factor causes an indirect effect by organizational commitment. Third, employees' organizational commitment factor has relationships with turnover intention. That is, the higher organizational commitment, the lower turnover intention. By the same route analysis, job suitability has an effect on organizational commitment. Also, the research proved organizational immersion has an effect on turnover intention. In this respect, the research contributes to job performance of foodservice employees, emphasizing the necessity of educational programs for them.
