대응일치분석을 이용한 SNS 이용 행태 조사 연구 (A Study on SNS Usage Behavior using Correspondence Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 SNS 이용환경의 변화 및 사용자 증가에 따라 SNS 사용자들을 대상으로 이용 행태를 조사하였다. 사회인구변인에 따른 사용자의 SNS 이용 동기, 선호하는 SNS 유형, 주로 이용하는 SNS 서비스에 대해서 교차 분석을 통해 살펴보았고 SNS 사용자의 특성과 주로 이용하는 SNS 서비스에 대하여 대응일치분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 국내 SNS 사용자들의 이용 동기는 관계형이 가장 많은 빈도를 차지했으며 선호하는 SNS 유형은 폐쇄형 SNS이고 주로 이용하는 SNS는 카카오스토리인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 연령별, 직업별로 SNS 이용 동기에 유의한 차이가 있었으며 성별, 연령별로 선호하는 SNS 유형에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 SNS 사용자 특성별 주로 이용하는 SNS에 대한 이미지 맵을 시각적으로 고찰하기 위해 대응일치분석을 실시한 결과 연령별, 직업별, 선호하는 SNS 유형별로 주로 이용하는 SNS 서비스에는 차이가 있는 것을 발견하였다. 또한 대응일치분석 결과 SNS 서비스간의 경쟁관계가 어떠한 구도로 형성되어 있는지를 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 시사점과 향후 연구 과제를 제시하였다.

SNS 피로감 유발요인: 지속사용의도 및 중단의향에 미치는 영향 (The Antecedents of SNS Fatigue: Influences on Intention to Continuous Usage and Discontinuing Intention)

  • SNS 사용자의 폭발적인 증가와 함께 최근 이에 따른 여러 가지 부작용이 대두되고 있다. 가장 대표적인 것은 'SNS 피로감(SNS Fatigue)'으로 이는 SNS를 이용하며 느끼는 스트레스와 피로감을 의미한다. SNS 피로감은 사용자를 SNS 중단 및 전환에 이르게 하며, 정신적 그리고 신체적 건강에 부정적 영향을 미치고 있다. 이와 같은 현상에 따라 최근 국내에서는 SNS 역기능과 관련된 연구들이 이루어졌지만 세부적인 SNS 피로감 유발요인과 지속 및 중단의향과의 관계에 대한 규명은 부족한 실정이다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 (1) SNS 피로감을 유발하는 요인을 구체적으로 알아보고 (2) 각 피로감 유발 요인들이 SNS 지속사용의도와 중단의향에 미치는 영향을 밝히고자 하였다. 그 결과 SNS 사용자의 피로감을 유발하는 요인은 세부적으로 7가지; 상대적 박탈감, 관계부담, 관리부담, 정보 과부하, 프라이버시 염려, 평판걱정(게시 후), 평판걱정(게시 전);로 추출되었다. 또한 지속사용의도에는 상대적 박탈감 요인이 부적으로 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며, 관리부담과 평판걱정(게시 전)요인이 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 반면 중단 의향에는 상대적 박탈감과 정보 과부하 요인이 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며, 평판 부담(게시 전)요인이 부적으로 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 게시물에 노출되는 독자 입장에서 발생하는 피로감 유발요인이 SNS 중단에 영향을 미치는 반면, 게시물을 작성하는 작가 입장에서 발생하는 피로감 유발요인은 SNS 지속사용에 영향을 미침을 조명하였다.

SNS를 이용하는 대학생의 정신적 웰빙과 스트레스 대처방식 (Mental Health Level and Ways of Coping in Undergraduate Students using SNS)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify mental health level, way of stress coping and its influencing factors among undergraduate students using SNS. Data were collected using Korean Mental Health Continuum Short Form scale, and the ways of coping checklist modified from 301 undergraduate students in 4 universities in Busan and through online, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$ test, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficients with SPSS/WIN 21.0. On average, mental health level was 35.6 out of 70 points, and the students using SNS use more active coping than passive coping as way of stress coping. The factors showed significant relationships with mental health were gender, and number of person contacted on offline within online counterparts, and with problem-focused coping were gender, preferred types of SNS, period of use, and hours per day on SNS, with social support seeking were preferred types of SNS, hours per day on SNS, and number of online counterparts, with emotion-focused coping were grade, instruments types for using SNS, and hours per day on SNS and with wishful thought were instruments types for using SNS, and hours per day on SNS. There was a positive correlation between mental health and stress coping type. Based on the results, future research needs to develop positive SNS usage strategies to improve the mental well-being and ways of coping in undergraduate students.

SNS 사용자의 이용습관과 감정적 요인 관점에서 기업 SNS 계정의 지속적 사용의도에 관한 연구 (Continuous Use of Corporate SNS Accounts from a Habit and Emotional Perspective)

  • Since social network service (SNS) has been widely used as a effective way for people to connect and communication with each other, the use of corporate SNS account also has increased. However, compared to a private SNS account, only few people have a continuous relationship with their corporate SNS account because the use of corporate SNS account tends to be one-time and temporary activity whenever the users just need events and information. Given the psychological side effects of using SNS, the relative lack of empirical studies on the impacts of emotional factor in SNS prevents the deeper understanding of the intention to continuous using corporate SNS account. Therefore, this study aims to explore key determinants of the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account from a habit and emotional perspective. To bridge research gap, we attempt to divide emotional factor into the following 5 factors based on Mehrabian and Russell model (1974): intimacy, enjoyment (positive factor), privacy concern, anxiety (negative factor), arousal (arousal factor) and (dominant factor). The basic model is proposed to explore the effects of habit and emotional factors on the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account. We then examine how the effects of habit and emotional factors differ depending on social media types (e.g., facebook and twitter). The results indicates that habit is related to emotional factors, and each emotional factor differently influences the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account. The results also confirm that the effects of the habit and emotional factors on the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account differ according to social media types. This study provides practical and useful guidance and the strategic marketing insight for managers in maintaining and improving the intension to continuous using the corporate SNS account.

Effects of Positive Characteristics of SNS on Use Satisfaction and Using Reluctant Intention: A Path Model for the Role of Trust and Value

  • This study was conducted to examine the effects of interactivity, entertainment and ease of use, which are positive characteristics of SNS, on SNS using satisfaction and using reluctant intention and the roles of perceived values and trust among users in the relationships among these variables, in order to find a clue to contribution to positive use and development of SNS. For this study, a survey was performed targeting normal people in Seoul and the metropolitan area and a total of 224 effective questionnaires were acquired. Then frequency analysis, descriptive statistic analysis, correlation analysis and structural equation path analysis were carried out. As a result of analysis, interactivity and ease of use increased SNS using satisfaction and decreased using reluctant intention via trust and users' perceived values respectively. The result of analyzing the modification model showed that interactivity and entertainment directly increased SNS using satisfaction. These findings imply that SNS providers fully need to reflect the needs of consumers for interactivity, entertainment and ease of use for improving consumers' perceived values and trust. It is also concluded that consumers can enjoy positive SNS activities by increasing trust with SNS users through a positive understanding of interactivity and participation.

Development of a Gateway System for Social Network Services

  • In this paper, we propose a method to reduce mobile social network services (SNSs) traffic using a mobile integrated SNS gateway (MISG) to improve network communication performance between the mobile client and SNS servers. The gateway connects the client and SNS servers using the contents adapter and the web service adapter and helps to improve communication performance using its cache engine. An integrated SNS application, the user's client, communicates with the gateway server using integrated SNS protocol. In addition, the gateway can alert the client to new SNS contents because of the broker server implemented by the message queuing telemetry transport protocol. We design and develop the modules of the gateway server and the integrated SNS application. We then measure the performance of MISG in terms of content response time and describe the result of the experiment.

SNS 스트레스와 이용의도저하에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Stress of Social Network Service and Using Reluctant Intention)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the users' stress and using reluctant intention to use social network service(SNS). This study especially focused on stress of SNSs' user. Because SNS has led to negative effects such as invasion of privacy, addiction and social overload recently. In addition, adverse effects of SNS had caused SNSs' user to feel stress and fatigue. Design/methodology/approach This study developed hypotheses to empirically examine the factors that affect SNS users' stress and using reluctant intention. In order to verify research hypotheses, this study collected data from 362 users who currently use the SNS in Korea. Further, we used the smartPLS analysis. Findings The results of this study are as follows; First, reputation perception, unwanted relation burden, privacy concern, information overload and interaction overload had a significant positive effect on SNS users' stress. But international influence had no significant positive effect on SNS users' stress. Second, SNS users' stress had a significant positive effect on using reluctant intention. The results of this study provides theoretical foundations on the research for dark side of SNS and implies that SNS providers are in need of exerting an effort to minimize the negative aspects.

SNS에서의 사용자 피로감의 선행 및 결과 요인과 습관의 조절효과에 관한 실증연구 (Empirical Study on Antecedents and Consequences of Users' Fatigue on SNS and the Moderating Effect of Habit)

  • The development of Social Network Service (SNS) has brought many positive changes to the ways people communicate, interact and share information. However, using the SNS does not always leads to in a positive results, particularly when it is addictively used. In fact, the addictive use of SNS results in many negative effects in our society. Recently, SNS users feel negative emotions such as expecially stress and fatigue while using SNS. Thus, the purpose of this study is to empirically examine antecedents of user fatigue on SNS, which can be explained by the degree of Individual, environment and SNS characteristics. This study also examines consequences of user fatigue on SNS. Lastly, we examine the moderating effects of Habit among SNS fatigue, barrier of living and task performance decline. The data for empirical analysis were collected 401 responses on SNS users in Korea. The results of this study are as follows; First, reputation perception, loneliness, unwanted relation, privacy concern, information overload, social presence and interaction are significantly related to SNS fatigue. Second, SNS fatigue, barrier of living and Task performance decline are significantly related to discontinuous usage intention. Third, the moderating effect of Habit of SNS using is found in the relationship among SNS fatigue, barrier of living and task performance decline. Based on the results of this study, Theoretical and practical suggestions were discussed.

대학생의 SNS 중독에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing SNS Addiction among University Students)

  • The Purpose of this study was conducted to investigate the factors influencing SNS addiction among university students for providing the basic data to develop SNS addiction prevention program. The data were collected from 363 university students in B & K cities from 2 to 19 September, 2013 and analyzed with t-test, ANOVA and multiple regression by using SPSS 21.0 program. The significant factors of SNS addiction were average using time daily in weekend(${\beta}=.116$, p=.003), SNS using time per connect(${\beta}=.156$, p=<.001), communication motive(${\beta}=.214$, p<.001), non-loneliness motive(${\beta}=.114$, p=.010), social capital(${\beta}=.127$, p=.001), psychological problems(${\beta}=.381$, p<.001). And these factors explained 54.2% of the variance in SNS addiction. In conclusion, the results from this study indicated a need to develop the intervention program to prevent SNS addiction for health promotion of university students.

AHP 기법을 적용한 SNS 품질요인 및 SNS 매체 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Evaluation for Quality Factors of SNS and SNS Media by Using AHP)

  • 현재 사회생활에서 SNS 매체는 이미 사람들이 가장 많은 이용한 소통방식의 하나가 되었다. 통신기술에 발전에 따라 다양한 기능성을 갖고 있는 SNS 매체 개발을 통해 사람들의 일상 커뮤니케이션을 더 편리하게 만들면서 사람들은 이런 SNS 매체에 대한 의존도도 점점 높아져가고 있다. SNS 매체의 급격한 이용자 확대 및 SNS 매체가 다양화되는 등 그 중요성이 날로 증대되고 있는 시점에서 지금까지 SNS 매체를 평가할 수 있는 방안을 제시한 연구는 아직까지 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 SNS 매체평가를 위해 적용 가능한 품질의 측정요인들을 문헌고찰하고 평가방법론으로 AHP 기법을 적용하여 SNS 매체를 평가할 수 있는 방안을 제시하며, 주요 SNS 매체를 평가하였다. 주요 SNS 매체로는 카카오톡, 트위터와 페이스북 이 세 개를 선택하고 평가하였으며, 각 SNS 매체를 평가하기 위한 AHP 프레임을 설계하였다. 설계된 프레임에 따라 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 전문가와 이용자를 대상으로 쌍대비교의 설문조사를 수행하였다. 조사결과는 Excel을 활용하여 AHP 기법의 실증 연구를 실시하였다. 본 연구결과를 보면 평가요인별 중요도를 반영한 이용자들의 만족도 점수를 종합한 결과 우선순위는 카카오톡이 1위로 나타났고, 2위는 페이스북, 3위는 트위터 순으로 나타났다. SNS 매체의 품질 평가시 시스템품질, 정보품질, 인터페이스품질, 서비스품질 등의 상위요인에서 가장 중요도가 많이 반영된 서비스품질에 중점을 두어 개선이 이루어져야 할 것이며, 각 하위요인들의 중요도를 고려하여 각 매체별 우선 개선영역을 찾아볼 수 있을 것이다.
