Experimental Study for Prediction of Ground Vibration Responses by the Low-vibration Pile Driving Methods (저진동 파일시공법에 따른 지반진동 응답 예측을 위한 실험적 연구)

  • This study investigated the SIP-method as a low-vibration, low-noise engineering method. The ground vibrations caused by the SIP-method were measured and analyzed in each step. From the analysis results, quantitative ground vibration values and reliable vibration estimation equations were proposed. Furthermore, the ground vibrations caused by the SIP-method were compared with the ground vibrations caused by other methods presented by existing studies. Based on the vibration estimation equation with 50 % reliability, the ground vibration values by the SIP-method at the distance of 10~150 m corresponded to 17~57 % of the ground vibration values by the equation proposed by Attewell & Famer, and 14~96 % of the ground vibration values by the equation proposed by Prof. Park in his study using a diesel drop hammer. These results showed that the ground vibration reduction effect of the SIP-method was higher those of other general engineering methods. Finally, the permissible scope of work using the SIP-method which meets the domestic vibration standards was presented.

Dynamic characteristics and wind-induced vibration coefficients of purlin-sheet roofs

  • This paper presents the dynamic characteristics analysis of the purlin-sheet roofs by the random vibration theories. Results show that the natural vibration frequency of the purlin-sheet roof is low, while the frequencies and mode distributions are very intensive. The random vibration theory should be used for the dynamic characteristics of the roof structures due to complex vibration response. Among the first 20th vibration modes, the first vibration mode is mainly the deformations of purlins, while the rest modes are the overall deformations of the roof. In the following 30th modes, it mainly performs unilateral local deformations of the roof. The frequency distribution of the first 20th modes varies significantly while those of the following 30th modes are relatively sensitive. For different parts, the contributions of vibration modes on the vibration response are different. For the part far from the roof ridge, only considering the first 5th modes can reflect the wind-induced vibration response. For the part near the ridge, at least the first 12 modes should be considered, due to complex vibration response. The wind vibration coefficients of the upwind side are slightly higher than that of the leeward side. Finally, the corresponding wind vibration coefficient for the purlin-sheet roof is proposed.

  • The thesis shows that we gauged vibration of vehicular load regarding WPC girder bridge and researched into dynamic characteristics(natural frequency, vibration acceleration) of WPC girder bridge. By the basic of that, we researched on vibration serviceability by looking over and being compared to vibration criteria we had before. In the thesis, the gauged vibration made an analysis of vertical acceleration through FFT method and evaluated vibration serviceability about vibration sense the body feels by means of the standard of ISO assessment standard and Meister assessment standard by referring to analysis data. This research on bridge is WPC girder bridge of 90 m span, width of 5.5 m, and the experiment was gauged by a fluent which is right way and inverse way about dump truck of gross 270 kN. Acceleration was located in the middle of 1st span, 2nd span, 3rd span. As a result of appraisal standard of Meister, the vibrations of the bridge have distributed between "level C, strongly perceptible" and "level B, disturbing". Also the vibration can be attacked with unpleasant feeling. As a result of appraisal standard of ISO, from vibration influence didn't come to 60s, and reduced comfort boundary in part of most rigorous standard that such a case didn't happen.

Effects of Walking with Non-Electric Power Vibration Shoes on Body Temperature and Peripheral Circulation (무전력형 진동신발 보행이 체온과 말초 혈액순환에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the body temperature peripheral circulation with vibration shoes in healthy 10 adults. The magnetic vibration device with non-electric power was mounted in the midsole of the vibration shoes. The experiment was divided into two groups: vibration shoes and no vibration shoes. Subjects were randomly selected and measured body surface temperature by digital infrared thermal imaging (DITI) and non-invasive capillaries change by nailfold microscope (NFM). After walking in a treadmill for 15 minutes at 4.0 km/h speed wearing normal shoes or vibration shoes, DITI and NFM were measured. The walking with vibration shoes showed the body surface temperature shift from the proximal to the distal. In addition, the diameter of the nailfold capillary in the vibration shoes group was thicker and clearer due to the increased blood flow than that of the no vibration shoes group. The vibration shoes are easy to apply to anyone who can walk because it can give vibration stimulation by walking without additional time, cost, and effort in daily life. Further studies are needed to explain the physiological effects of vibration frequency and intensity on the long-term perspective of target subjects resulting from vascular dysfunction.

  • This study is mainly concerned with vibration control of L-type reciprocating air compressor by a dynamic vibration absorber. The dynamic vibration absorber of reciprocating air compressor was designed for constant revolution running condition. For the review, Vibration test was conducted for the performance appraisal of installed dynamic vibration absorber in the reciprocating air compressor. As a result of the test, the performance of dynamic vibration absorber was satisfactory.

  • Vibration of rotating machinery is a factor that is something to do with abnormal machinery. Former days, Perception of vibration at rotating machinery had used Shaft rider type. Shaft rider type was adhered to surface of shaft and detected vibration of rotating machinery. Recently, Perception of vibration at rotating machinery uses to non-contact sensor. Working principle of non-contact sensor is used of eddy current. Vibration at rotating machinery appears to deviation of eddy current. In this paper, We investigate abnormal vibration due to non-contact sensor.

  • When the crankshaft of diesel engine has more than 3 throws, which are arranged in a different plane, its vibration induces coupled motions, especially the coupled torsional and axial vibration. Nowadays, the torsional vibration which is influenced rather weak than axial one, can be theoretically calculated fairly accurately, but theoretical calculation results of the axial vibration which is influenced strongly from torsional vibration is not so good. To get accurate calculation results of axial vibration, coupled axial-torsional vibration must be treated. In this investigation, coupled effects of vibration of diesel engine propulsion shafting are analyzed theoretically and some simple calculation methods are also studied. On this first report, effects of coupling on natural frequencies and their modes are mainly studied, setting the each mass in 4 degrees of freedom.

  • Thesedays, the reduction of hand-transmitted vibration of hand-held power tools is important issue for operators' welfare, In the study, frequency response function is measured and vibration total value is evaluated for solving the principle and effect of the BOSCH's vibration-proof handle. This handle functions as a dynamic damper and has the effect, 22% vibration total value reduction under idling condition using a system that consists of a PC with data acquisition system and LabVIEW program. The program in the system makes it possible to evaluate vibration total value according to ISO 5349. This handle offers a good example for figuring out the physical contradiction between the work efficiency and operators' health.

  • Vibration table is required to obtain high packing density in expendable pattern casting process. Packing density. which is an important manufacture factor, depends on the vibration pattern induced by vibration table. In general, circular vibration pattern is recognized as the best pattern. The existing vibration table is investigated to identify current vibration pattern and consider a countermeasure. Modal test is utilized to identify the dynamic characteristics of vibration table, and finite element method is used to propose the improved design. In simulation using finite element method, the position of stiffeners is obtained to satisfy the required dynamic characteristics.

  • The blast vibration can generate occupants dissatisfy as well as damage of physics nearby building. Then blast vibration estimation issue important problems. But, now blast vibration prediction inside-outside country not established objective method to express magnitude of vibration according to blast number. In this study, Our propose show our country problem of blast vibration about blast vibration measurement and this problems be able to find improve method.
