This paper starts by describing the wireless internet service as a new function in the internet age. It then discusses the usefulness of wireless internet for improveing library information service. Recently the use of wireless internet service, as a major internet service in the future, has been rapidly increased because it can be provided various type of information using individual's cellulasphone without the time and space restrictions. Therefore, wireless internet service will be of great use for decentralization and rapidness of library function as well as improvement of user service by providing various interface of information retrieval.

Korean university libraries has lead the advancement of library service by adopting state-of-art technology for the improvement of information service provision, which therefore contributes to the consolidation of the status of the library as a center of information circulation among related institutions. This paper examines the current conditions of wireless internet service provided by the university libraries. First, it takes 'WDL mobile campus consortium', which is an organized movement with many university libraries involved, and explores their major issues such as wireless internet service environment, platform components, service components and functions, user environment and usage. Finally, this paper makes suggestions for the continuous advancement of the university libraries' wireless services.

The requirements to use high speed internet under wireless environment are increased. To satisfy the requirements. the WiBro service combining high speed of wired internet service with mobility of wireless internet service will be launched as an alternative. This paper reviews and analyzes its overview, features, and comparison with existing mobile internet and wireless LAN in the information providing aspect. This paper also proposes how to adapt mobile information service and how to satisfy the requirements to construct mobile library based on the WiBro service. With the current problems in mobile-based information services provided by libraries. especially this paper proposes information service areas. considerations to provide information services, and service provisioning method based on the WiBro service.

Wireless internet service is an important factor to support all industries. In order to connect and use the smart phones or the laptop via a wireless Internet connection, it has been increasing the hacking risks associated with it. As information spills through the DNS address modulation of the Internet router, hacking threats through a wireless router is present. In this paper, we are dealing with the hacking technique utilizing the overall vulnerability of a wireless LAN. We analyzed the need for the wireless LAN security through WEP encryption algorithm and the improved encryption algorithm. In addition, we presented a countermeasure against these hacking technologies which is WEP Crack using wireless vulnerability hacking technology, DDoS attacks, DNS Spoofing.

Everyday demand of wireless internet is increasing. Security problem is certainly resolved for wireless internet activation. Especially problem is only wiretap in mobile communication with voice, but problems, user authentication, data integrity guarantee etc., are resolved in data-services that have commercial transaction over simple data information service such bill, banking. Necessity of wireless PKI that can offer security service likely in wired environment is requested for offering security service in wireless environment. For offering security services, confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation etc, that of offered in wired environment in wireless environment, first it must construct wireless PKI infrastructure and do service activity. This paper analyze various wireless internet technology for offering safe wireless internet service and wireless PH standards. Performance Result of this paper expect activity of safe wireless PH service and activity of electronic commercial transaction used wireless internet such banking service, bill transaction, online shopping.

The purpose of the study is to suggest and measure the ways to activate the use of wireless internet services in university libraries. For this, 1 reviewed the concepts and characteristics of wireless internet and investigated both local and foreign cases on wireless internet service of university libraries, library users' usage status, and their demands. Based on the case study and survey results, I suggest the strategic consideration and active publicity of university libraries, the introduction of the services students more prefer, the development of differentiated menus from ordinary wire internet services, and the consistent financial support of the university authority.

Request about fast diffusion of internet and high-capacity multimedia service is increasing day after day. Because existent wireless LAN is short range, if subscriber is far away in base station transceiver system(Base Station), subscriber's quality of service becomes low, and wileless internet is expensive. Lately, WiBro(Wireless Broadband Internet) system that is developed in domestic by world first, is high-speed portable internet service that is situated in middle area of mobile phone and wireless LAN. In this paper, service traffic model and characteristics are analyzed to provide multimedia service based on IEEE 802.16 BWA accomplishes base of WiBro and simulation is conducted according to various traffic mixing ratio. Finally, on the basis of these simulation results, maximum allowable number of subscriber per cell is calculated.

The recent Internet is changing from its best-effort service and needs the network structure and traffic engineering, which can support various applications requiring differentiated traffic processing and high quality of service. The extension of the Internet from wired to wireless system generating location-dependent and burst errors make more difficult to support a good service with the existing packet scheduling algorithm. In this paper, we propose a wireless diffserv packet scheduling (WDSPS) algorithm that can provide reliable service in the differentiated wireless internet service network. The proposed scheduling algorithm solves the HOL(head of line) blocking problems of class queue occurred in wireless network, supports the differentiated service for each class which is defined in differentiated service networks and makes possible the gradual and efficient service compensation not only among classes but also among flows to prevent the monopoly of one class or one flow. Through simulations, we show that our proposed WDSPS scheduling algorithm can provide the required QoS differentiation between classes and enhance the service throughput in various wireless network conditions.

Until now, most of the studies about the internet service have focused mainly on the adoption of on-line(wired) internet services, while there have relatively been very few studies about the adoption and usage of wireless or mobile internet services. The generic model explaining the adoption behaviors of wireless internet services has not been made yet. Previous studies of that area is not so easy to find. The purposes of this paper are two-folds. The first is to find the factors affecting the users' intention and commitment behavior of mobile internet services. The second is to find the relative importance of the factors in users making decisions about users' usage intention and commitment behavior. In the theoretical part of this paper, the precedent studies concerning the technology acceptance model and the theories of on-line internet services adoption, the theories of the mobile internet services, are reviewed and analyzed.

In this research, we have developed a model that can explain the potential customer's needs for the potable Internet service, a concept with 'QoS guaranteed lower-price high speed mobile Internet service. Based on the developed model, we have also derived some empirical implications for the business firms interest in the potable Internet market. The developed model is incorporating a survey result, answering of potential customer's attitude for the portable Internet service, from the subscribers to the Internet service, wireless LAN service, and mobile Internet service. As a result, we have found that a very innovative group, such as wireless LAN users and 20's age group using mobile Internet service, could be the most attractive market segment. Moreover, the aspects of the service coverage and the price competitiveness at the service launching stage could be the most critical success factors for the portable Internet service.
