  • This paper proposes a new scheme to provide the location privacy of sources in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Because the geographical location of a source sensor reveals contextual information on an 'event' in WSN, anonymizing the source location is an important issue. Despite abundant research efforts, however, about data confidentiality and authentication in WSN, privacy issues have not been researched well so far. Moreover, many schemes providing the anonymity of communication parties in Internet and Ad-hoc networks are not appropriate for WSN environments where sensors are very resource limited and messages are forwarded in a hop-by-hop manner through wireless channel. In this paper, we first categorize the type of eavesdroppers for WSN as Global Eavesdropper and Compromising Eavesdropper. Then we propose a novel scheme which provides the anonymity of a source according to the types of eavesdroppers. Furthermore, we analyze the degree of anonymity of WSN using the entropy-based modeling method. As a result, we show that the proposed scheme improves the degree of anonymity compared to a method without any provision of anonymity and also show that the transmission range plays a key role to hide the location of source sensors.

  • According to augmentation about interesting and demanding of privacy over the rest few years, researches that provide anonymity have been conducted in a number of applications. The ad hoc routing with providing anonymity protects privacy of nodes and also restricts collecting network information to malicious one. Until recently, quite a number of anonymous routing protocols have been proposed, many of them, however, do not make allowance for authentication. Thus, they should be able to have vulnerabilities which are not only modifying packet data illegally but also DoS(denial of service) attack. In this paper, we propose routing protocol with providing both anonymity and authentication in the mobile ad hoc network such as MANET, VANET, and more. This scheme supports all of the anonymity properties which should be provided in Ad Hoc network. In addition, based on the group signature, authentication is also provided for nodes and packets during route discovery phase. Finally, route discovery includes key-agreement between source and destination in order to transfer data securely.

  • In a wireless sensor network environment, it is required to ensure anonymity by keeping sensor nodes' identifiers not being revealed and to support real-time authentication, lightweight authentication and synchronization. In particular, there exist possibilities of location information leakage by others, privacy interference and security vulnerability when it comes to wireless telecommunications. Anonymity has been an importance issue in wired and wireless network environment, so that it has been studied in wide range. The sensor nodes are interconnected among them based on wireless network. In terms of the sensor node, the researchers have been emphasizing on its calculating performance limit, storage device limit, and smaller power source. To improve of biometric-based D. He scheme, this study proposes a real-time authentication protocol using Unique Random Sequence Code(URSC) and variable identifier for enhancing network performance and retaining anonymity provision.

  • As the number of harmful sites increases, many social problems are occurring. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, the government is carrying out activities to block access to web sites to harmful sites based on the law. However, due to the change from HTTP to HTTPS protocol, it has become difficult to block the harmful sites in the existing method. In the existing HTTP protocol, a method of blocking the site corresponding to the harmful site domain list by utilizing the DNS information was used. However, due to the generalization of HTTPS, it is difficult to block the harmful sites in the existing method. Therefore, the ISP uses the method of blocking the website using the SNI field in the TLS (Transport Layer Security) Handshake protocol used for HTTPS. However, since the method using SNI field raises the concern of monitoring Internet users or exposing information about connected sites, in this paper, we proposed method which can support anonymity to Internet users while blocking harmful sites. The suggested method also can support integrity and source authentication to the transmitted data.

  • A strong designated verifier signature scheme is a special type of signature scheme which provides signer anonymity by enabling the specified recipient, called a designated verifier, to simulate a signature which is indistinguishable from the signer's signature. It has many applications such as software distribution or electronic voting. In this paper, we consider two important security properties of strong designated verifier signature scheme - source hiding and security against key-compromise attack. We show that the two properties cannot be achieved at the same time. Finally, we present a new ID-based strong designated verifier signature scheme which is secure against key-compromise attack.

  • For enhancing network efficiency, content-centric networking (CCN) allows network nodes to temporally cache a transmitted response message(Data) and then to directly respond to a request message (Interest) for previously cached contents. Also, CCN is designed to utilize a hierarchical content-name for transmitting Interest/Data instead of a host identity like IP address. This content-name included in Interest/Data reveals both content information itself and the structure of network domain of a content source which is needed for transmitting Interest/Data. To make matters worse, This content-name is human-readable like URL. Hence, through analyzing the content-name in Interest/Data, it is possible to analyze the creator of the requested contents. Also, hosts around the requester can analyze contents which are asked by the requester. Hence, for securely implementing CCN, it is essentially needed to make the content-name illegible. In this paper, we propose content-name encoding schemes for CCN so as to make the content-name illegible and evaluate the performance of our proposal.

  • As social interest in the metaverse increases, various metaverse platforms and services are appearing, and various security issues are emerging accordingly. In particular, since all activities are performed in a variety of virtual spaces, and the metaverse utilizes sensing data using various hardware devices, more information is accumulated than other Internet services, and more damage can occur if information security is not guaranteed. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a metaverse security model that considers the major issues mentioned in previous papers and the necessary evaluation factors for the security functions required in the metaverse platform. As a result of performing the performance evaluation of the proposed model and the existing attribute information collection model, the proposed model can provide security functions such as anonymity and source authentication, which were not provided by the existing models.

  • With the release of the Bitcoin source in 2009, cryptocurrencies are continuously developing and expanding the market. Recently, new applicability is expanding centered on NFT coin and metaverse payment service. In particular, the Central Cryptocurrency Exchange actively supports relay transactions between cryptocurrencies or between traditional fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies. The cryptocurrency trading market based on such a central exchange encouraged speculative factors of cryptocurrencies, strongly arousing speculation and futility of cryptocurrencies. In addition, the central cryptocurrency exchange induces the centralization of users and virtual assets, thereby hindering the decentralization and security enhancement strategies of the block chain. Therefore, this study describes the current status and problems of centrally controlled centralized cryptocurrency exchanges in service, and presents a distributed cryptocurrency exchange modeling strategy and major issues as a decentralization model of the exchange. This research can strengthen the anonymity, decentralization, and autonomy of cryptocurrency based on blockchain.
