간호대학생의 전공만족도, 진로결정 자기효능감과 진로정체감 관계 (Relations between Satisfaction in Major, Career Decision-making Self-efficacy and Career Identity of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy and career identity of nursing students. Methods: Data were collected from 543 students by means of self reported questionnaires about satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy and career identity from November 26 to 30, 2012. Results: The average score of satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy and career identity of nursing students was 3.56 on a 5 point-scale, 3.28 on a 5 point-scale, and 2.65 on a 4 point-scale respectively. There were significant correlation between satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy and career identity of nursing students. Career identity could be explained 26.2% by satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy, admission motivation, and school grade. Conclusion: Career identity was correlated with satisfaction in major and career decision-making self-efficacy in nursing students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an effective intervention program to improve nursing students's satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy and career identity.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate nursing students' awareness of career decision-making self-efficacy, career search behavior and commitment to career choice. Methods: Data were collected using a self-report questionnaire from 397 nursing students in D city from October 1 to October 8, 2014. Results: The average score of career decision-making self-efficacy, career search behavior and commitment to career choice was 3.42, 3.08 and 3.27 on a Likert 5 point-scale respectively. Career decision-making self-efficacy and career search behavior were significantly different according to grade of subject. There were positive correlations between career decision-making self-efficacy, career search behavior and commitment to career choice. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop an effective career support program from 1st grade to improve nursing student's career decision-making self-efficacy, career search behavior and commitment to career choice.

치위생과 학생의 생활스트레스와 그릿이 진로결정 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 (The effect of dental hygiene student's life stress and grit on career decision-making self-efficacy)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the correlation among dental hygiene students' life stress, grit, and career decisionmaking self-efficacy, and to identify the factors influencing career decision-making self-efficacy. Methods: Data were collected through a survey from October 19 to November 7, 2020, targeting 196 students enrolled in dental hygiene departments in Daejeon and Daegu. Life stress, grit, and career decision-making self-efficacy were measured. For data analysis, the descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS/WIN 24.0. Results: Life stress was 2.12 points, grit was 3.07 points, and career decision-making self-efficacy was 3.43 points. Career decision-making self-efficacy was influenced by satisfaction with the course department, as well as life stress and grit; the most influential factor was found to be grit. These variables could explain career decision-making self-efficacy by 23.8%. Conclusions: For students to advance successfully into society as dental hygienists, a career decision-making self-efficacy promotion program that can help students achieve self-confidence and establish career goals should be developed. additionally, a program that can enhance grit should be included in this development.

여대생의 우울 및 스마트폰 의존성이 진로결정 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Depression and Smartphone Dependency on Female College Students' Career Decision-making Self Efficacy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of depression and smartphone dependency with female college students' career decision-making self efficacy. Methods: This was a descriptive study. The survey participants were 497 female college students in M City and S City. Data were collected from November 16 to December 4, 2015 using self-report questionnaires including BDI (Beck Depression Inventory), Smartphone Dependency Scale, and CDMSES-SF (Career Decision-Making Self Efficacy Scale-Short Form). Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, independent-samples t-test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Career decision-making self efficacy showed significant differences according to religion. Smartphone dependency was found to have a statistically significant negative correlation with career decision-making self efficacy and a positive correlation with depression. Depression was found to have a statistically significant negative correlation with career decision-making self efficacy. Stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that the predictors of career decision-making self efficacy were depression (7.1%), religion (1.8%), and smartphone dependency (1.3%), accounting for a total of 10.6% of the variance. Conclusion: This study suggests that interventions to promote female college students' career decision-making self efficacy should consider their depression, religion, and smartphone dependency.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore factors predicting career exploration behavior of engineering students. Career decision making types(rational type, intuitive type, and dependent type) and career decision making self-efficacy were included as predictors for this study. 249 engineering students in Gyeonggi-do of South Korea participated in this study and 231 data analyzed as final samples through multiple regression and mediation analysis. Results showed as follows: first, rational and intuitive decision making significantly predicted career exploration behavior. Also, career decision making self-efficacy completely mediated between these career decision making types(rational and intuitive) and career exploration behavior. The implication of the findings on practice for career education are discussed in the paper.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to contribute to career counseling and career guidance for nursing students by examining students' career decision-making styles and career decision levels and the relationship between self-efficacy and career decision-making styles and career decision levels. Methods: A descriptive survey design was used and data were collected using questionnaires from a sample of 469 nursing students. The data were analyzed using frequencies means, Kruskal-Wallis test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS 21.0. Results: Career decision level had a significant correlation with self-efficacy and decision-making styles. Self-efficacy (${\beta}=.143$, p<.001), type of decision-making styles rational type (${\beta}=.180$, p<.001), intuitive type (${\beta}=.137$, p<.001), dependent type (${\beta}=-.236$, p<.001) and sex (${\beta}=-.086$, p=.023), school grades (${\beta}=.086$, p=.033), and satisfaction of nursing major (${\beta}=.209$, p<.001) were significant predictors of career decision level. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop effective career support programs according to type of decision-making styles, sex, school grades, motivation to improve nursing students' self-efficacy and satisfaction in the nursing major.

대학생의 진로장벽이 진로결정 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 : 사회적 지지의 조절효과 (The Moderating Effects of Social Support in the Relationship between Career Barriers and Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy)

  • 본 연구는 대학생들의 진로결정 자기효능감에 진로장벽과 사회적 지지의 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 진로장벽과 진로결정 자기효능감의 관계에서 사회적 지지의 조절효과 모델을 설정하였다. 5개 대학의 1-4학년 대학생 307명의 응답이 분석되었다. 통계분석결과 진로결정 자기효능감은 학년이나 계열에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았지만 성별에 따른 차이는 유의미하게 나타났다. 남학생이 여학생에 비해 진로결정 자기효능감이 높았다. 진로장벽은 진로결정 자기효능감에 부적 영향을 주었다. 진로장벽이 증가할수록, 진로결정 자기효능감은 낮아졌다. 또한 진로장벽은 사회적 지지와 상호작용 하여 진로결정 자기효능감에 영향을 주었다. 사회적 지지가 높은 경우에는 진로장벽이 진로결정 자기효능감에 더 많은 영향력을 행사하였지만 사회적 지지가 낮은 경우에는 진로장벽이 진로결정 자기효능감에 더 적은 영향을 주었다. 진로장벽을 낮추고 사회적 지지를 높이는 것은 결과적으로 진로결정 자기효능감을 높여 대학생의 진로발달에 도움을 줄 것이다.

무용전공 대학생들의 진로결정 기효능감과 사회적 지지가 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy and Social Support of University Students Majoring Dance on Career Preparation Behavior)

  • 본 연구는 무용학과에 재학 중인 대학생의 진로결정 자기효능감과 사회적 지지가 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구로 수도권지역 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 무용전공자 300명을 연구대상으로 SPSS 24.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 자료 분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 무용전공 대학생의 진로결정 자기효능감과 사회적 지지는 진로준비행동에 통계적으로 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 2. 진로결정 자기효능감의 하위요인은 진로준비행동에 대해 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 3. 사회적 지지의 하위요인은 평가적 지지를 제외한 정보적 지지, 정서적 지지, 물질적 지지는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 진로결정 자기효능감과 사회적 지지의 총점은 진로준비행동에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결론은 무용학과 대학생들의 진로결정에 대한 자기효능감은 진로 준비행동에 매우 긍정적으로 진로준비행동의 수준을 더욱 높이기 위해서는 전공에 대한 정보와 관련된 경험의 기회가 주어질 수 있는 프로그램 개발에 대한 연구가 이루어지길 기대한다.

Analysis of factors affecting career preparation behavior - Based on the recognition of college students -

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the factors influencing career preparation behavior based on the perception of college students from the perspective of social cognitive career theory and to examine the effect of career barriers and career decision self - efficacy on career preparation behavior And career - decision self - efficacy. The results of the study are as follows. First, career barriers perceived by college students showed a significant positive correlation with career decision self - efficacy and career preparation behavior(-), and career decision efficacy showed a statistically significant correlation with career preparation behavior(+). Second, as a result of linear regression analysis to examine the effect of career barriers on career preparation behavior, lack of self - clarification, lack of job information, and lack of recognition of need were subordinate factors of career barriers. Third, as a result of linear regression analysis to examine the effect of career decision - making self - efficacy on career preparation behavior, goal setting and job information, which are sub - factors of career decision self - efficacy, were analyzed. Fourth, mediating effects of career decision self - efficacy on career barriers and career preparation behavior were analyzed by hierarchical regression analysis. The results of this study confirm that the level of career barrier, which is an important factor in career preparation behavior of college students, should be lowered and career decision self - efficacy should be increased.

  • 본 연구는 청소년들의 참여행동이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향에 있어서 진로결정 자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구수행을 위해 J지역에 거주하고 있는 청소년 1,077명을 대상으로 수집된 자료를 활용하여 경로분석 방법을 통해 청소년의 진로준비행동에 대한 참여행동과 진로결정 자기효능감의 직접적인 영향력과 참여행동이 진로결정 자기효능감을 매개하는 간접적인 영향력을 확인하였다. 연구를 통해 청소년의 참여행동과 진로결정 자기효능감의 진로준비행동에 직접적인 영향력과 참여행동이 진로결정 자기효능감을 매개하는 간접적인 영향력을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과는 청소년의 진로준비행동에 있어서 참여행동과 진로결정 자기효능감의 중요성을 다시 확인시켜 주었으며, 특히 청소년의 진로준비행동에 대한 개입에 있어서 참여행동과 진로결정 자기효능감의 관계 구조에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 개입이 이루어져야 할 필요가 있음을 의미한다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 하여 청소년의 참여행동, 진로결정 자기효능감, 진로준비행동을 증진하기 위한 융복합적 제언을 제시하였다.
