Chloroprene 고무에 대한 Methyl Methacrylate의 Graft공중합 (Graft Copolymerization of Methyl Methacrylate on to Chloroprene Rubber)

  • The graft copolymerization of chloroprene rubber with methyl methacrylate in toluene solution has been carried out varying the concentration of monomer, initiator, CR, reaction time, and reaction temperature, etc.. It is observed that the grafting reaction follows conventional kinetic behavior under the present experimental conditions. Identification of grafting on to chloroprene rubber was obtained through characterization of the graft copolymer by infrared spectrometer.

클로로프렌 고무의 난연성 및 내방사선 특성 향상 (The Improvements for Fire Retardancy and Radiation Resistance of Chloroprene Rubber)

  • This study has investigated radiation degradation of chloroprene rubber in the presence of some fire retardant. Ammonium polyphosphate, aluminium trihydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, calcium carbonate and antimony trioxide were selected as flame retardant. Samples were irradiated using a Co$^{60}$ ${\gamma}$ -ray and ray up to 2000 kGy at a dose rate of 5 kGy/hr in the presence of air atmosphere at room temperature. After irradiation, samples were assessed fire retardancy with electrical properties and mechanical properties. Some considerations concerning the effects of the fire retardants added to chloroprene rubber on the radiation and thermal stability of chloroprene rubber are presented. From fire retardancy with electrical and mechanical property measurements, it was found that addition of magnesium hydroxide resulted in maximum fire retardant effect.

  • This study is analyzed about the factor of adhesive strength characteristics, curing time, asphalt application, test temperature which are liquid waterproofing membrane of rubber-asphalt and chloroprene-rubber type for concrete bridge deck. According to the results, curing time is shorter, adhesive strength is less in chloroprene-rubber type. And also chloroprene-rubber and rubber-asphalt type are showed high adhesive strength in low temperature.

Reinforcing Performance of Networked Silicas in Silica-filled Chloroprene Rubber Compounds

  • The physical properties of chloroprene rubber (CR) compounds reinforced with networked silicas were investigated by comparing them to those reinforced with conventional silica to observe the effect of the organic connection bonds combining silica particles on their cure, tensile, and aging performance. The introduction of networked silica to CR increase in silica content to 80 phr in rubber, while the content of conventional silica was limited to 60 phr. The CR compounds reinforced with networked silica showed higher resistance to combustion. The gradual increases in delta torque, Mooney viscosity, and modulus of silica-filled CR compounds with silica content were mainly attributed to the specific interaction between the chlorine atoms of CR and the hydroxyl groups of silica. The CR compounds reinforced with networked silica showed low compression set and heat build-up and maintained their high modulus even after thermal, oil, and ozone aging.

  • 유연한 고무재료와 강재 보강판을 적층으로 구성한 탄성받침은 우수한 수직강성과 유연한 횡강성으로 교량의 내진보강용으로 널리 사용되고 있다. 무엇보다 시공이 간단하고 비용이 높지 않다는 장점을 지니고 있다. 고무재료의 한 종류인 합성고무는 천연고무에 비해 노화에 대한 저항성이 크지만 이 역시 다양한 열화요인으로 성능이 저하된다. 내진설계기준 및 내진성능평가요령에서는 이러한 노화의 특성을 반영하고 있지 않지만 관련 연구가 축적되면 이를 반영하는 것이 합리적이다. 합성고무를 대상으로 노화촉진시간과 노출시간을 변수로 하여 노화촉진시험을 수행하여 전단특성의 변화를 분석하였다. 노화가 진행될수록 최대전단응력과 전단변형율은 감소한다. 또한 동일한 전단변형률에서 전단강성이 크게 증가한다.

  • The influence of the adhesive force test conditions on the resultant adhesive force was measured using a chloroprene rubber as an adhesive and a plywood as an adherent. It was clarified from the experiments which adhesive force test conditions could influence strongly the adhesive force. After this, the constant values neccessary as the test conditions of the adhesive force in making generally a test of the adhesive force determined.

충전제 종류 및 배합비가 클로로프렌고무의 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Filler Types and Compositions on the Physical Properties of Chloroprene Rubber)

  • The effects of filler types and compositions on the final properties such as tensile strength, % elongation, hardness, and specific gravity of chloroprene rubber were investigated. The fillers involved in this investigation were HAF-type carbon black, Mistron, and white clay, For each filler, the variation of filler compositions gave almost the linear effects on the all properties investigated. For a fixed filler composition, different filler types gave different influential strength on rubber properties. After linearlization of experimental data with respect to each filler composition, the simple linear addition of each property with respect to filler compositions was applied to predict the final properties of the filler included rubber systems. For the chloroprene rubber system including the fillers composed of Mistron(25phr)/HAF(20phr)/clay(35phr), the predicted properties were well in accordance with the experimental results. Similar results were obtained for other additives such as processing oil and accelerator.
