This study aims to understand the advertising recall effect in accordance with color scheme of advertising by subdividing it into brand, picture, color, and style. The results of this study are like following. In the results of the study on advertising recall, first, there were significant differences in picture and color recall. The picture recall was the highest in complementary color scheme while color scheme was shown the highest in single and complementary color schemes. Regarding the advertising recall in accordance with subscription time of fashion magazines, second, the advertising recall can be different in accordance with subscription time of magazine, major, purchase experience, and interest. In case of picture advertising recall depending on major, third, majors highly recognized complementary color scheme in picture recall and also similar color scheme in color recall. Regarding the advertising recall depending on experience in purchasing magazines, purchasers highly recognized complementary color scheme in picture recall and also tone-in-tone color scheme in color recall. In case of the advertising recall in accordance with interest in fashion advertising, the group with interest highly recognized complementary color scheme in picture recall and also similar color scheme in color recall.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the color scheme based on the color image types through the color analysis of workstation furniture which is on the market. This color scheme of the workstation furniture is expected to be give the comfort to office environment when planning office. For this study, It is selected the three furniture firms that have a brand of office furniture and their web site that is showed color sample of furniture. The following researches are drawn based upon the purpose. First, the color image types of interior space is classified and the color image words that are suitable for each types is extracted based on the results of existing literature. Second, the distribution of its hue and tone is analysed after collecting the each firm's color sample of desk top, panel and chair. Third, the color image appearing in each furniture color is analysed by color image scale positioning. Forth, the color scheme of desk top, panel and chair is suggested by its color scheme palette. The result of this study is expected to help comfortable environment by providing the color scheme for selection of furniture color in work space. Not all color of each furniture is sufficient to be combined color scheme, the result is indicated that the color scheme of workstation by color image types is possible for color planning in office environment.

The main objective of this research was to understand the characteristics of separation color coordination of contemporary female fashion through the analysis of 'pre-a-porter Collections' of four collections (i. e. cities) - Paris, Milan, New York, London - from the periods of 2004 S/S to 2008/9 A/W. The data collection of 265 was done by reviewing 'pre-a-porter Collections' magazine and total 265 observations were made. Statistical analysis of frequency and also qualitative interpretation of separation color coordination characteristics were completed. The main findings were; (1) In separation color coordination of contemporary women's fashion collections, there were three main types of color scheme which were classified into seven detailed categories of color combination. First was the achromatic color & one chromatic separation color scheme which was classified into four categories of - black & white, black & grey, white & grey, and grey & grey - color combination. Second was the chromatic colors & one achromatic separation color scheme which classified into two categories of achromatic & chromatic color & one achromatic separation color combination, and chromatic colors & one achromatic separation color combination. Third was chromatic colors and one chromatic separation color combination. (2) The achromatic colors and one chromatic separation color scheme showed two phases of reinforcing the strong and modern image, or softening the hard and dull image of achromatic color combination. In color schemes which used more than two chromatic colors, the separation color frequently converted the tedious and monotonous fashion image, which caused by identical or similarity in color or tone harmony, into more attractive and interesting. (3) In conclusion, through the various use and coordination of various color schemes, color harmony and separation colors, the separation color coordination in contemporary female fashion has been suggested the effective way of color combination which can lead the visual pleasure and the vitality along with the unity and the harmony. This characteristics can create various images and visual diversity for fashion. The types and the use of color scheme and separation color showed different trends in four collections.

The purpose of this study is to fond out the characteristics of color perception and preferred color scheme of the aged who becomes color weak due to yellowed eye sight. For this, this study was composed of two steps. First, an experimental simulation on aged vision using Spectrophotometer(CM-2600d, Minolta) attached Y-2 filter as a quasi lenses of the aged eye. The color data of 120 color chips of the aged vision was measured and analyzed to grasp the characteristics of color perception of the age. Then, a questionnaire survey was carried out with color chips and 8 interior color schemes. They participated in a questionnaire survey of the level of identification among the color chips of 11 tones of R, G, PB, as well as a survey of the preference color schemes. The result of this study are as follow; 1) The range of color perception on hue narrowed into YR, Y, GY, G. Especially, the aged have failed perception of B${\cdot}$PB${\cdot}$P${\cdot}$RP(short wave length of light) by yellowed eye sight. 2) The level of identification among the color chips of 11 tones of R,G,PB are different by each color. But Very Pale, Pale, Strong, Vivid are fractionated similarly in almost color. 3) In the preference of interior color scheme of the aged, preference color harmony scheme Is the complementary color scheme that is easy for identification, rather than analogous color scheme. The preferred dominant color is warm color rather than cool color.

The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of color preference(interior color preference and general. color preference) and preferred color scheme of the youth and the elderly. This is to proffer basic data for the color planning of the youth and the elderly. The color preference study was carried out with 50 color chips and preferred color scheme study was carried out with 25 interior color scheme. The research was conducted with the youth 50 sample and the elderly 51 sample. The analysis used spss program. The results of this study are as follows;1) In general color perference, most of the youth preferred PB and GY, and the elderly preferred RP. According to tone, two groups preferred pale, bright and vivid tone. 2) In interior color perference, most of the youth preferred GY and Y, and the elderly preferred PB and YR. According to tone, two groups preferred pale tone. Compared with general color perference and interior color perference, the youth had the similarity in preference profile, but the elderly didn', there was the outstanding difference in the perference of B, PB, P and RP. 3) In the preference of interior scheme, two groups preferred GY-analogous harmony1, G-analogous harmony1 and RP-analogous harmony1. According to age, the youth preferred Y-analogous harmony2 and PB-analogous harmony1, and the elderly preferred YR-analogous harmony1 and RP-complementary harmony1. On the whole, two groups more preferred analogous harmony than complementary harmony, and preferred type1(tone difference is slight). But there was the significant difference in analogous harmony of cool color.

The color planning in the hospital could influence the patient's improvement and lead the users from room to room. This study shows the data of present colors used in the hospitals. In order to get the data, we surveyed and analyzed the current color usages of the present interior of hospitals by the individual data from the projectors. The color scheme is analyzed by the rooms which are the common room, the ward, and the examination room along the projectors. It is also analyzed by the finishes of the hospitals, and is addressed to the present color scheme by the means of the hue value, and chroma. The color scheme in the interior design of hospital is an important factor for the hospital users. It has to more sincerely considered to use colors effectively in the hospital interior since people use their organ of vision greatly when they sense things. According to the data, this study is proposed to the effective color plan which is considered psychologically and emotionally about the human activities, in the interior design of hospitals for the future.

The purpose of this study is to investigate harmonious color schemes based on a length proportion of upper and lower parts of a body by; understanding of the harmonious length proportion of a square measure of a color in color coordination of fashion design, and presenting a mutual relation of the length proportion of a square measure of a color according to the various way of color schemes and proportions. For this study, monochromatic scheme, analogous scheme and complementary scheme were adapted as the color schemes, and each color scheme was coordinated by analogous tone and contrast tone. Also, 1:1 symmetry proportion, 1:2 harmonic proportion, 1:1.618 golden section, 1:3 and 1:5 contrast proportion were used as the square measure of a color. For the survey, 12 sets of color sample were organized. The survey was conducted 182 of university students majored in fashion design, and 143 responded samples were analyzed using SPSS 12. The result of the study is as follows: 1:5 contrast proportion is most inharmonious in general, and 1:1 symmetry proportion is followed. It is thought that too much or same length of the square measure of colors has less attractive effect of coloring. On the other hand, 1:1.618 golden section and 1:2 harmonic proportion are accepted to be harmonious in all color schemes. The length proportion of the square measure of a color had more influence on harmony of color coordination in fashion design rather than color schemes. Though, on the assumption that people have a similar perception about the color image of fashion design, it will play an important role in strengthening or diminution of color in cloth if the coloring effect of the length proportion of the square measure of a color is used in fashion design and wearing of clothes.

This paper presents the selection, examination, and user test (SEUT) procedure to determine the ideal color scheme for a 4D model. This systematic procedure can be performed iteratively to obtain the color scheme that would be most appropriate for construction purposes. To verify the proposed procedure, an example case with two iterations is presented. Ten color schemes were examined and 48 users tested during the two iterations, and the result shows that the SEUT procedure is an effective method for determining the ideal color scheme for 4D models.

The confucianism, the Taoism, the Budd-hism and the Folk-Faith actually coexisted and all of them had also widespread infuluence on the Chosun Society. This thesis is designed to study symbol of Color Scheme expressed in the clothing of Chosun dynasty. For this thesis I examined records of Royal archives, books containing lifestyle of Chosun dynasty, genre paintings, documantary pain-tings, excorcist clothing and existing remains. And I synthetically studied symbol of the Clothing Color Schemes in Chosun dynasty on the bases of theoretical researches. The result were as follows. There were many cases of 1. Upper·lowergarments : Red-Blue, White-Blue, White-Blue Color Schemes. 3. Exorcist clothing : Red-Red, Blue-Yellow, Blue-Blue Color Schemes. 4. Multy-colored stripes : Same color arrange-ments were avoided in Color Schemes. In the case of Green Wonsam, Blue-Red-Yellow-White Clothing Color Scheme was obvious. 5. Dance wear : Red-Blue, Yellow-Red Color Schemes. Generally more than anything else Blue-red Clothing Color Scheme was widely used. Be-sides Blue-Red Color Scheme, there were also many cases of Red-Yellow, White-Blue Cloth-ing Color Schemes. As a whole, compatible Color Schemes were more often used than in-compatible Color Schemes were used with various symbols that were based on color concept of Yin-Yang O-haeng, Tae-il theory Folk-Faith and so forth in Chosun dynasty.

It is very necessary and important that color image language is given to each coloring to highten efficiency on applying color scheme. For that in this research, literature cited and survey are carried out to select languages on the Korean's color-image connected with color scheme at the same time, and I did my best to objectify the subjective color image through verifying related experts. As the result of research, I classified the color image into 14 categories; A. energy or dinamic, B. harmony, C. order, D. style and fashion, E. mystery, F. Practicalty, G. dignity, H. gorgeousness, I. the sense of sight, touch, taste, hearing, J. complexity, K. sexuality and growth, L. standard, M. static and lyricism, N. simplicity to promote user's usefulness. For the user's convenience on color plan, the work to propose color scheme concided with the selected color-image languages is deferred till the follow-up research.
