  • 본 논문에서는 3차원 복원을 위한 특징점 추출 및 매칭에 대한 보다 정확한 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 컴퓨터 비전의 기본이 되는 분야로 복원뿐 만 아니라 SLAM과 같은 지도 작성 및 자율 운행에도 필요한 방법이다. 본 연구는 3차원 물체 복원을 위해서 사용하는 방법 중 하나인 Column space fitting(CSF)을 이용하여 turntable-image data에 적용하여 성능을 평가하여 정확성을 검증을 한다. 오늘날 3D scanner를 이용하여 물체를 3차원 모델을 획득하고 3D프린터를 이용하여 다양한 분야에 적용한다. 그러나 고가의 장비이기 때문에 접근성이 떨어진다. 본 연구는 영상들만을 가지고 기하학적 계산을 통해 3차원 모델을 획득한다. 본 연구결과는 기존의 방법인 KLT 알고리즘과 비교하여 RMSE의 값을 약 5배를 줄이는 성능 향상을 보인다.

Design optimization of semi-rigid space steel frames with semi-rigid bases using biogeography-based optimization and genetic algorithms

  • This paper performs for the first time a simultaneous optimization for members sections along with semi-rigid beam-to-column connections for space steel frames with fixed, semi-rigid, and hinged bases using a biogeography-based optimization algorithm (BBO) and a genetic algorithm (GA). Furthermore, a member's sections optimization for a fully fixed space frame is carried out. A real and accurate simulation of semi-rigid connection behavior is considered in this study, where the semi-rigid base connections are simulated using Kanvinde and Grilli (2012) nonlinear model, which considers deformations in different base connection components under the applied loads, while beam-to-column connections are modeled using the familiar Frye and Morris (1975) nonlinear polynomial model. Moreover, the $P-{\Delta}$ effect and geometric nonlinearity are considered. AISC-LRFD (2016) specification constraints of the stress and displacement are considered as well as section size fitting constraints. The optimization is applied to two benchmark space frame examples to inspect the effect of semi-rigidity on frame weight and drift using BBO and GA algorithms.

증류탑 제어에 있어서 로바스트 다변수 제어 응용에 관한 연구 (On the Application af Robust Multivariable Controller to Distillation Column)

  • Distillation columns are widely used in almost every chemical plant. The use of multivariable control for such units is attractive because of the strong interactions exhibited between outputs and inputs and the desire to control simultaneously both top and bottom products. In this research design of a robust multivariable controller for distillation column was considered; output feedback controller with proportional and integral modes was designed using pole assignment. The transfer function matrix was obtained by fitting the step response realtions between single input double output pairs of variables. This matrix was then converted to linear time invariant state space model by multivariable realization technique. With the proposed multivariable proportional and integral controller applied to the process, the result of the digital computer simulation showed a good performance of asymtotic tracking. The limited experimental performance of this multivariable control was compared with the result from simulation. It was found that the proposed controller performed satisfactorily for the distillation column which separated binary mixture of methanol and water.

A reliable quasi-dense corresponding points for structure from motion

  • A three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction is an important research area in computer vision. The ability to detect and match features across multiple views of a scene is a critical initial step. The tracking matrix W obtained from a 3D reconstruction can be applied to structure from motion (SFM) algorithms for 3D modeling. We often fail to generate an acceptable number of features when processing face or medical images because such images typically contain large homogeneous regions with minimal variation in intensity. In this study, we seek to locate sufficient matching points not only in general images but also in face and medical images, where it is difficult to determine the feature points. The algorithm is implemented on an adaptive threshold value, a scale invariant feature transform (SIFT), affine SIFT, speeded up robust features (SURF), and affine SURF. By applying the algorithm to face and general images and studying the geometric errors, we can achieve quasi-dense matching points that satisfy well-functioning geometric constraints. We also demonstrate a 3D reconstruction with a respectable performance by applying a column space fitting algorithm, which is an SFM algorithm.

다변량 분할 역회귀모형에 관한 연구 (A study on the multivariate sliced inverse regression)

  • 일변량 분할 역회귀 방법은 일반화 회귀모형에서 효과적인 차원축약방향과 공간을 추정하는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 두 일반화 회귀모형을 동시에 고려하여 효과적인 차원축약방향과 공간을 추정하는 방법으로 이변량 분할 역회귀를 제안한다. 이러한 이변량 분할 역회귀 방법은 모형식이 선형, 이차형, 삼차형, 비선형 등의 여러 모형식에서 효과적인 차원축약방향을 추정하며, 일변량 분할 역회귀에 비하여 모형에 존재하는 오차에 크게 영향을 받지 않고 효과적인 차원축약방향을 추정한다. 특히 모형식이 대칭의 이차형인 경우에 일변량 분할 역회귀 방법이 효과적인 차원축약방향을 추정하지 못하는 문제를 해결할 수 있다.

Spectroscopic Study of the X-ray Dip at Pre-eclipse Phase of Hercules X-1

  • The X-ray binary pulsar Her X-1 was observed with Ginga on 1988 August 28 during the orbital phase of 0.76 to 0.85 at the main-on phase of the 35 day cycle. During the observations the X-ray intensity varied by a factor of five or more on a time scale as short as 30 sec, due mostly to the soft X-ray absorption in the pre-eclipse phase. From the studies of pulse profiles and energy spectra, we revealed that there exists in the dipphase an unpulsed component which is "3% of the intensity at the non-absorbed high-level. We suggest that scattering of the source continuum by the optically thin hot corona is responsible for the unpoised component. In the spectral analysis, we find that the high-state non-absorbed spectra can be fitted by a power-law without absorption, and the spectra observed in the different abgorption states by two components of a power-law with the same photon index. An iron-K emission line is required in to the cases of fitting. The estimated equivalent width of the iron line varies from 0.18 to 0.51 key according to the change in the absorption column density along the line of sight. We suggest that the fluorescent iron line arises in a cool and relatively small region, like the Alfvensur face, and may be partially intercepted by the optically thick gas cloud passing across the line of sight.1 Korea Astronomy Observatorya The Institute of Space and Astronautical Science in Japan3 Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology
