남자 고등학생 흡연자의 영양상태 판정 및 흡연관련 요인분석 -II. 흡연과 관련된 사회심리적 요인에 대한 연구- (Assessment of Nutritional Status and Factors Related to Smoking in Adolescent Males -II. Psychosocial Factors Influencing Smoking among Male High School Students-)

  • The study purpose was to investigate psychosocial factors related to smoking among adolescent boys. The Theory of Planned Behavior provide the basis for the study. Twenty-five attitudinal beliefs, 9 normative beliefs and 20control beliefs were identified through questionnaire development. The data were analyzed using t-test and χ2-test. Thirty-three percent of 300 students were smokers. Most of the beliefs examined were significantly different between smokers(n=92) and nonsmokers(n=92). With respect to attitudinal beliefs, smokers responded less negatively on the items of bad health effects of smoking such as sore throat, headache, chest pain, risk of cancer and bad blood circulation(p<0.001), and decreased physical strength(p<0.05). Smokers believed less negatively on the items that smoking leads to bothering others, bad breath, yellow teeth and making them spend money(p<0.001). In contrast, smokers felt more positively on smoking as a means of stress management, relaxing, helping digestion(P<0.001). Smokers felt less pressure for not smoking from significant others. Especially mother, siblings, friends, girl friends, seniors of school were important sources of influence regarding subject's smoking. Smokers felt less confident in controlling the urge to smoke in several situations including; when they were with friends or asked to smoke by friends; after the meal, or drinking; when they were bored or stressed, upset, and when they felt unstable(p<0.001). Smokers also scored lower on specific skills to quit or control the urge to smoke as well as overall perceived control, compared to nonsmokers(p<0.001). These results suggest that interventions for adolescents incorporate diverse strategies to increase the perceived control over smoking in specific situations as well as overall perceived control, to help them realize and modify attitudinal beliefs, and to elicit support from significant others for not smoking. 초등 과학 교사들의 교사 공동체 내에서의 학습의 특징과 인식적 믿음의 변화 (Characteristics of Teacher Learning and Changes in Teachers' Epistemic Beliefs within a Learning Community of Elementary Science Teachers)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the characteristics of teacher learning and changes in teachers' epistemic beliefs within a learning community of elementary science teachers. Three in-service elementary teachers who majored in elementary science education in a doctoral course of a graduate school of education participated in the study, and learning activities in the teachers' beginning learning community provided a context for the study. Data sources included field notes produced by the researcher who engaged jointly in the teacher learning community as a coach, audio-recordings of the teachers' narratives, and artifacts generated by the teachers during the process of teacher learning. Complementary analyses of these multiple sources of data revealed that epistemic beliefs of the three elementary teachers were different and that each teacher made a different plan of science instruction based on his own epistemic belief even after the learning experiences within the teacher community. It was therefore suggested that science teacher education programs should be organized in consideration of the nature of teachers as constructivist learners and their practical resources.

초등학생 부모의 체벌 지지도가 신체적 아동학대에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Beliefs in Corporal Punishment to Physical Child Abuse in Elementary Student's Parent)

  • Purpose I investigated how beliefs in punishment have influence on child abuse. Also, I investigated how socio-demographic variables of parents' have influences on child abuse by parents. Sampling was conveniently and total 160 parents replied to the study. Data analysis was done by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation using SPSSWIN. The results were as follows. Mild child abuse: 'Throwing the object at me(21.1%)', 'Clutching, and pushing (21.0%)', 'Slapping on the cheek (19.1 %), Severe child abuse: 'Kicking, pounding and biting(4.1%)', 'Rod, stick, belt, broom beating using a various objects such as(51.7%)', 'Beating all over the body(6.8%)'. Very severe child abuse: 'Burning with cigarette (0%)', 'Threatening me with a knife, a hammer, a naxe, a gimlet the objects such as(0.7%)', 'Injuring me with the objects such as (0%)', 'Hospitalized by belting(0%)'. Correlations of major variables were as follows. Physical child abuse by elementary student's parents has significantly positive correlation with beliefs in punishment(r= .244 p= .003) and has significantly negative correlation with parent's age(r=-.273, p=.001). But physical child abuse has not significant correlations with family income, education. Conclusion: Beliefs in punishment of parents have influences on child abuse. To prevent child abuse, effective parenting program development is required.

대전 지역 여대생의 유제품 섭취와 관련된 사회심리적 요인 (Psychosocial Factors Related to Dairy Product Consumption among Female University Students in Daejeon)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the psychosocial factors influencing dairy product consumption of female university students in Daejeon. The Theory of Planned Behavior provided the basis for this study. As a result of the pilot-study, 18 behavioral beliefs, 8 normative beliefs, and 12 control beliefs were identified. The subjects (n=236) were grouped into a high-consumption group (1 serving/day, n=117) and a low consumption group (< 1 serving/day, n=119). The data were analyzed using t-tests or $\chi$$^2$-tests. Among the general characteristics, there were significant differences in the amount of pocket money spent per month, residence type (p<0.01), weight, frequency of exercise and perceived health status (p<0.05) of the subjects. With respect to the 18 behavioral beliefs, the high consumption group responded less negatively on ‘eating dairy foods would not be convenient’ than the low consumption group (p<0.05). None of the subjective normative items were significantly different between the two groups. However, notable differences were found in regard to the control beliefs (8 out of 12 control beliefs). These included overall control over consuming dairy products (p< 0.001), as well as specific beliefs regarding barriers such as easy spoilage of dairy products, the cost, eating them for snacks and dislike for them (p<0.05). In addition, specific situations, such as ‘when I want them I get them’ (p<0.01), eating out and the availability of dairy foods at home (p<0.05) were significantly different between the two groups. The high consumption group showed more control over these barriers or situations. These results suggest that nutritional education for young female adults should incorporate strategies to increase their perceived control over the consumption of dairy products by removing barriers and including environmental approaches which address the availability issues.

수업개선 관행공동체를 통한 교사의 변화 탐색: 수학 수업관행을 중심으로 (Exploring Teacher Change Through the Community of Practice Focused on Improving Mathematics Teaching)

  • 이 연구는 수학 수업개선에 초점을 맞춘 관행공동체의 형성과 참여를 통해서 교사들의 변화를 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 수업개선 관행공동체를 통해서 교사들은 수학 수업에 관한 다양한 담론과 지식을 공유하게 되고 결과적으로 수학 수업전문성 신장을 위한 다양한 기회를 갖게 되었다. 이 연구에서는 교사들의 변화를 신념과 수업관행의 측면에서 접근하였다. 그 결과 아동들의 수학 학습방법에 대한 교사들의 신념 측면에서 지속가능한 수학 수업개선의 가능성을 보여 주었다. 또한, 수업관행의 변화 측면에서 교사들의 수학 수업이 학습자 중심 경향으로 변화하고 있는 것으로 드러났다. 이러한 변화는 설문분석에서뿐만 아니라 실제 수업분석 결과에서도 그대로 드러나고 있다. 결국 성공적이고 지속가능한 수학 수업의 변화를 위해서는 수업의 변화에 대한 가치 및 수학 교과와 관련된 전문적인 지식을 공유할 수 있는 환경이 조성되어야 함을 본 연구는 시사한다.

대전 일부지역 대학생의 패스트푸드 이용 및 이와 관련된 요인 (Fast Food Consumption and Related Factors among University Students in Daejeon)

  • The study purpose was to investigate the factors related to fast food consumption of university students. Factors were identified using the Theory of Planned Behavior. Based on the pilot study, 18 behavioral beliefs, 7 normative beliefs and 19 control beliefs were identified. Data (n = 269) were analyzed using analysis of variance or $X^2$,/TEX> tests. Subjects were categorized into non-users (27.9%), users (42%) and frequent users ( $\geq$ 2 times/week, 30.1%). Regarding behavioral beliefs, users or frequent users responded more positively on advantages of eating fast foods including ‘taste’ (p < 0.001), ‘making me feel full’(p < 0.001), ‘diverse menus’(p < 0.05) than non-users. Compared to users, non-users responded more positively on the item that eating fast foods leads to eat vegetables less (p < 0.05), and negatively on ‘making me eat more salt’(p < 0.05). Most of the referent groups, parents (p < 0.001), sisters/brothers (p < 0.01), relatives (p < 0.01), friends (p < 0.05), boy/girl friends (p < 0.05) were important sources of influence regarding subjects' fast food consumption. Users or frequent users felt less control over factors or situations that make it consume fast foods (9 out of 19 control beliefs). These factors included; availability issues (p < 0.001), ‘not having other foods on hand’(p < 0.01), ‘others eating together like fast foods’, ‘convenience’, ‘social increase in fast food use’, ‘easy to get fast foods anytime’(p < 0.05). In addition, users of fast foods were more likely to eat fast foods when they don't have time, when they do not like to cook, when they feel hungry (p < 0.05). These results suggest that interventions for university students include strategies to moderate fast food use by modifying behavioral beliefs, suggesting alternative menus and behavior modification techniques, increasing perception of control, and eliciting social support.

The influence of pre-service early childhood teachers' civic awareness on their ability to teach democratic citizenship education: The mediating role of multicultural beliefs

  • This study aims to investigate the impact of pre-service early childhood teachers' civic awareness and multicultural beliefs on their ability to teach democratic citizenship education and to verify the mediating effect of multicultural beliefs in the relationship between civic awareness and the ability to teach democratic citizenship education. The subjects of the study were 226 pre-service early childhood teachers, and a survey was conducted. As a result of the study, first, the civic awareness of pre-service early childhood teachers influenced the ability to teach democratic citizenship education, and the influence of the sub-variables of civic awareness was in the order of rights awareness, responsibility, community awareness, and rational decision-making awareness. Second, the multicultural beliefs of pre-service early childhood teachers also affected the ability to teach democratic citizenship education, and multicultural understanding had the strongest influence among the sub-variables of multicultural beliefs. Thirdly, we found that multicultural beliefs partially mediated the relationship between civic awareness and the ability to teach democratic citizenship education. Additionally, the results highlight the importance of educational interventions targeting multicultural beliefs, as they partially mediate the relationship between civic awareness and the ability to teach democratic citizenship education.

경남지역 일부 갱년기.폐경기 여성의 식사와 건강보조식품에 관한 신념 - 포커스그룹 심층면접 연구 - (Climacteric and Menopausal Women's Beliefs on Daily Meals and Food Supplements - A Focus Group Interview Study -)

  • The aim of the study was to explore the current status as well as personal views, attitudes, and beliefs regarding daily meal consumption (DM) and food supplement use (FS) in conjunction with the improvement of health condition of the women. Eight focus group interviews were performed and the interview material was condensed systematically with the aim to extract core meanings related to DM, FS, and menopause-associated health. Participants were 40 in number and showed ages ranging from 45 and 60 years with various menopausal status. Current status and beliefs about DM, resources of purchase motivation of FS, types of FS that are currently used, and perceived effects and personal beliefs about FS are discussed. Theme content analysis revealed 3 themes for beliefs about DM, 5 themes for beliefs pertaining FS, and 4 themes for the association between DM and FS. Non-dietary factors such as positive mental attitude and exercise appeared to be also important to maintain good health. The bottom line message from this study may be that proper nutrition through daily meals is essential for good health, while food supplement are used merely to supplement the diet. Findings from this study may deepen our understanding of how women who translate their lifespan through "menopause" perceive the roles and meaning of DM and FS, suggesting health professionals need to monitor and evaluate DM and implement strategies targeting the improvement of daily meal quality of middle and older aged women.

유네스코 복합유산 개념으로 본 고창 해양신앙유적의 지속가능한 보존 (UNESCO Mixed Heritage Concept Sustainable Preservation of Gochang Maritime Religious Relics)

  • 유네스코 세계유산에 등재된 고창의 갯벌에 접해 있는 마을신앙은 해양의 생태적 환경과 지역민의 문화가 어우러져 복합문화유산의 성격을 지닌 해양신앙으로서 전승되고 있다. 이 연구를 통해 첫째, 해양신앙의 생태문화적 가치를 밝히고, 둘째, 고창 해양신앙의 지속가능한 보존을 위한 기제로써 복합유산 등재의 가능성을 도출하며, 셋째, 고창이 보유한 세계유산 보존과 활용 정책에 거시적이며 통합적 관점에서의 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 고창 해안가의 마을신앙은 바다와 갯벌에 의지해 살아가는 지역민들의 소망과 정신세계를 반영한 문화적 행위이자 의식이다. 마을신앙은 그 유래가 정확하게 기록되지 않은 것들이 대부분이나 주민들에 의해 구전되어온 좌정담, 유래담, 영험담 등은 2003년 유네스코 무형문화유산보호협약에 따라 살아있는 전통으로 최근 주목되고 있다. 한편 고창군 해안가의 마을신앙은 마을의 평안과 함께 해상안전, 풍어를 기원한다는 점에서 어촌지역 해양유산의 특징을 지닌다. 나아가 해양이라는 공간은 지역성을 뛰어넘어 초국가적인 개방성을 가진다. 이는 유네스코에서 언급하는 탁월한 보편적 가치(Outstanding Universal Value)와 연관되며 과거부터 현재, 그리고 미래로 이어지는 지속가능성을 내포하고 있다. 이와 같은 무형적 가치와 유형의 탁월한 보편적 가치가 공존하는 고창의 마을신앙은 갯벌, 그리고 해양의 생태환경과 끊임없이 상호작용을 하며 전승되어 왔다. 이에 마을신앙은 생태문화적 가치를 지니고 있으며, 보존과 활용 또한 생태문화적 가치에 주목하고 이에 적합한 정책과 보호활동을 펼쳐야 한다. 요컨대 자연유산적 가치와 문화유산적, 무형문화유산적 가치를 동시에 충족시키는 유네스코 복합유산의 개념에 부합하는 고창의 갯벌과 해양신앙은 점과 선단위를 넘어 면단위의 보존개념과 범위로 접근할 필요가 있다.

초임보육교사의 웹기반 학습경험, 학습유형, 인터넷 자기효능감이 웹기반 학습신념에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Web-based Learning Experiences, Learning style, and Internet Self-efficacy on the Beliefs of Beginning Child Care Teachers about Web-based Learning)

  • 본 연구는 초임보육교사의 웹기반 학습경험, 학습유형, 인터넷 자기효능감이 웹기반 학습신념에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위한 것이었다. 이를 위해 P시에 위치한 어린이집에 근무하고 있는 초임보육교사 215명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하고 자료분석은 t 검증, ANOVA, 상관분석, 중다회귀 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 초임보육교사의 웹기반 학습경험 중 온라인교사 커뮤니티 이용 유무와 빈도에 따라 웹기반 학습신념에 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 초임보육교사의 학습유형에 따라 웹기반 학습신념에 차이가 있었으며 특히 융합형의 교사들이 웹기반 학습의 어려움에 대한 신념이 높았다. 셋째, 초임보육교사의 인터넷 자기효능감은 웹기반 학습신념과 정적상관을 보였으며 인터넷 자기효능감이 높은 교사들이 웹기반 학습의 행동적 신념과 맥락적 신념이 높았다. 넷째, 초임보육교사의 웹기반 학습신념에 미치는 상대적 영향력은 행동적 신념, 맥락적 신념, 어려움 신념에 따라 그 영향요인이 달랐으며 주로 온라인교사 커뮤니티 이용과 인터넷 자기효능감이 가장 많은 영향을 주는 변인으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 초임보육교사의 웹기반 학습에 대한 긍정적인 신념을 높이기 위해 이들의 웹기반 학습경험과 인터넷 자기효능감을 높일 수 있는 방안 모색이 필요함을 시사하였다.
