This study explored Korean college students' smartphone game behavior for the pastime. Smartphone games have weakness that is not appropriate for playing the game because of small screen and non-sophisticated interface for operation. To defeat the disadvantage, the games employed minimalism like conciseness or simplicity. The study explored how conciseness influences perceived ease of use, perceived enjoyment, flow, and intent to use the game through PLS path modeling. We found that every hypothesis except a path, perceived ease of use to flow, proved significant. This result means that smartphone game design should consider the interface of users' convenience and user experience practically. Finally, based on the findings, suggestions for future studies were discussed.

With the rise of fintech services, the importance of UX Writing in digital channel is growing. However, there is a lack of research on how different types of UX Writing in fintech services specifically affect user's satisfaction. In order to determine the impact of UX Writing style in fintech services on user's satisfaction, this study used a 2x2 mixed design with using formality in Korean and financial jargon as independent variables to measure trust, conciseness, psychological stability, and completeness. The results showed that higher levels of conciseness, psychological stability, and completeness when not using jargon than using jargon. Using formality in Korean did not show a main effect for any of the dependent variables, but it was occurred that higher levels of conciseness, psychological stability, and completeness with using formality in Korean but not using jargon. The significance of this study is that it empirically verified how using formality and financial jargon in UX Writing of fintech services affects user satisfaction.

This study investigates the effects of convergence firefighter helmet attributes on consumer attitude toward the product and willingness-to-pay. The results of empirical analysis are as follows. First, consumer attitude toward the convergence product is more favorable when conciseness, economical efficiency, and the utility value of the convergence product's attributes are high, while consumer attitude toward the convergence product is less favorable when the perceived risk of the convergence product's attributes is high. Second, consumer willingness-to-pay for the convergence product is higher when conciseness, economical efficiency, and the utility value of the convergence product's attributes are high, while consumer willingness-to-pay for the convergence product is lower when the perceived risk of the convergence product's attributes is high. Based on our results, the implications are discussed for the further development of convergence products.

This research deals with cognitive characteristics of point symbols on the current tourist maps in terms of the communication theory in considering levels of symbolization and those of preference. The levels of symbolization are examined on the basis of the meaning of point symbols between map-makers and map-users. Preferences of point symbols are investigated by the tourist objects. As a result, when point symbols are expressed in conciseness, the meaning and interpretation about those symbols are highly accorded. And the point symbols that have familiarity by visual experience are preferred. Also, the higher symbolical levels symbols have, the more likely they are preferred. Through that fact, familiarity from the visual experience, conciseness in expression, concreteness of figures expressed in maps, and representativeness of visualized properties were deduced as factors that affect preferences. Those factors work to affect preference complicatedly, but familiarity is prior to simplicity in preferences. Likewise, ways that visualize information, contents that are expressed as images and familiarity in terms of cognitive characteristics make a relative difference in preferences and the levels of symbolization. On the basis of those cognitive characteristics, visual complexity and ambiguity should be removed and the higher symbolical level of point symbols for efficiency of map-reading should be developed.

Chinese auspicious element is a kind of art which is used to express yearning of a happy life. It is one of the great treasures of China, with not only emotional value of the people but also an aesthetic value. Chinese auspicious element derives from the aspiration of luck, enthusiasm of life and conciseness of eliminating malicious. It is of great cultural connotation and widely used in interior design, graphic design, fashion design and such. There are many research papers on application methodology of auspicious elements; however, there are very limited research papers on three-dimension product, let alone application in tableware. This paper focuses on illustration of Chinese representative auspicious element "auspicious fish" in tableware design. The research of its application of auspicious element's styling characteristics is of important significance in auspicious element spread and tableware design. This dissertation aims to provide referential design methodology and experience for later researches on related topic.

This paper presents a decentralized compensator design procedure for large scale systems. By using a coordinate transformation method, interconnection terms in t도 subsystem are decoupled and a decentralized observer is designed independently as a form of Luenberger-type for each subsystem. And the decentralized compensator which can select the observer and controller gain independently is designed as a form of observer based controller for each subsystem. The proposed method has a simplicity and conciseness in the aspects of the determination of coordinate transformation matrices and the derivation of the separation principle which is adopted independently for each subsystem.

This study aims to establish an analogy of presenting facade of elementary school in order to express a formal manifest in accordance with children's aesthetic sense and also to provide a better visual environment for children. The results of the study are as follows: 1) Formal expression of elementary school should be carried out primarily on harmony and unity, and based upon these, ideas of the architect should be applied. 2) Formal meaning of volumes and spacious feelings that are analogized in facades and masses of elementary schools should consider factors like the number of classrooms, sitescale. Volumetric sense should be composed as to induct coziness, conciseness, corresponding with conscious characteristics classified by grade. 3) Characteristics of presented meaning should be based upon humanistic intimacy, at the same time visually expressing characteristics of sculptural value and rationality.

Since the adoption of K-IFRS(Korean International Financial Reporting Standards), the amount of financial footnotes has been increased. However, due to the stereotypical phrase and the lack of conciseness, deriving the core information from footnotes is not really easy yet. To propose a solution for this problem, this study tried financial footnote analysis for financial ratio predictions based on text-mining techniques. Using the financial statements data from 2013 to 2018, we tried to predict the earning per share (EPS) of the following quarter. We found that measured prediction errors were significantly reduced when text-mined footnotes data were jointly used. We believe this result came from the fact that discretionary financial figures, which were hardly predicted with quantitative financial data, were more correlated with footnotes texts.

A design which would let its users optimize their learning experiences accordingly to the diversification of learning platforms is needed. Especially with the expansion of mobile learning, a heuristic evaluation was used to evaluate the usability in order to provide learners with various learning methods and experiences according to the unique characteristics a mobile possesses. Therefore, we could conclude that systematic factors like information display, intuitiveness and conciseness do have a significant effect on users' attitudes.

The plan for Shinseon Seolleongtang Restaurant in Kimpo has as its goal to create an environment strongly fused with the design of the modern city and the spirit of food culture craftsmanship, and it proceeded as follows. In order to carry out the goal of the plan, the direction of the design concept was set to be a harmonious blending of Ecology and Minimal. Also, for detailed plan direction, in the Minimal domain, conciseness, cleanliness, and high quality were established as the ultimate goals in order to create a spacious food and drink area in today's complicated and energy-draining society, and in the Ecology domain, ancient hieroglyphs representing the forms of natural objects were used that prayed for years of plentiful harvest and blessing, and colorfully expressed the events of the populace.
