  • This paper presents a new CMOS fully-differential second-generation current conveyor (FDCCII). The proposed FDCCII is based on a fully-differential difference transconductor as an input stage and two class AB output stages. Besides the proposed FDCCII circuit operating at a supply voltage of ${\pm}1.5\;V$, it has a total standby current of $380\;{\mu}A$. The applications of the FDCCII to realize a variable gain amplifier, fully-differential integrator, and fully-differential second-order bandpass filter are given. The proposed FDCII and its applications are simulated using CMOS $0.35\;{\mu}m$ technology.

  • This paper describes the sinusoidal, pulse, triangular oscillator using second generation current conveyor. To obtain the sinusoidal waveform the circuit blocks are constructed by using all pass filter and integrator. The pulse and the triangular waveforms are obtained from the output of sinusoidal oscillator. The peak-to-peak voltages of sinusoidal and triangular waveforms can be easily controlled by the dc offset voltage. Also the output frequency of the oscillator can be controlled by varying passive elements. The designed circuit is verified by HSPICE simulation.

  • The operation of current conveyor circuit is similar to an operational amplifier and a current conveyor circuit has the characteristics such as good linearity and stability. In this paper, a frequency-to-voltage converter circuit is designed by using a current conveyor circuit. The supply voltage is 5volts and the designed circuit is simulated by HSPICE. The range of the input frequency is from 4kHz to 200kHz. From the simulation results the error of the output voltages is less than from -1.3% to +2.5% compared to the calculated values.

  • In this article, an alternative analog multiplier circuit, using the translinear second-generation current conveyors with the external resistors. The realization method makes use of the inherited translinear loop of the current conveyor offering the positive-supply current that provides in the quartersquare algebraic identity. The proposed circuit operates in voltage mode and it achieves a high accuracy. The PSPICE simulation results confirm that the performances of the proposed multiplier circuit, such as dynamic range and accuracy, are agreed with the theoretical results.

  • A offset compensated class A bipolar second-generation current conveyor (CCII) for high-accuracy current-mode signal processing was proposed. The CCII adopts two diode-connection transistor between voltage input and voltage output to reduce offset voltage. Experiments show that the proposed CCII has offset voltage of 0.05 ㎷, input impedance of 2 Ω and the 3-㏈ cutoff frequency of 30 MHz when used a voltage amplifier. The power dissipation is 6 ㎷.

  • This paper describes the differential voltage-to-frequency converter which is realized current conveyor circuits. The output frequency of the differential voltage-to-frequency converter is proportional to the difference of two input voltages. The designed circuit is simulated by HSPICE. The range of input voltage difference is from several volts to several milli-volts. From the simulation results the error is less than from -1.9% to +1.8% compared to the calculated values.

  • In this study, we present a new topology for realizing a grounded inductor employing only a single current conveyor, called a negative-type modified inverting second-generation current conveyor (MICCII-), and a minimum number of passive components, two resistors, and one capacitor. The non-ideality effects of the MICCII- on a simulated inductor are investigated. To demonstrate the performance of the presented inductance simulator, we use it to construct a third order Butterworth high-pass filter and a parallel resonant circuit. Simulation results are given to confirm the theoretical analysis.

  • The vibratory conveyors with electromagnetic drive are used for performing gravimetric flow of granular materials in processing industry. By realizing free vibrations of variable intensity and frequency over a wide range through application of the electromagnetic actuator, suitable power converter, and the corresponding controller, continuous conveyance of granular materials have been provided for various operating conditions. Standard power output stages intended for control of vibratory conveyance using thyristors and triacs. Phase angle control can only accomplish tuning of amplitude oscillations, but oscillation frequency cannot be adjusted by these converters. Application of current controlled transistor converters enables accomplishing the amplitude and/or frequency control. Their use implies the excitation of a vibratory conveyor independent of the supply network frequency. In addition, the frequency control ensures operation in the region of mechanical resonance. Operation in this region is favourable from the energy point of view, since it requires minimal energy consumption. The paper presents a possible solution and advantages of the amplitude-frequency control of vibratory conveyors by means of a current controlled power converter.

  • A novel current mode high Q bandpass filter with electronically tuable values of Q based on second generation current controlled conveyor CCCIIs is presented. The circuit offers the advantages of using a few passive elements. The center frequency and pole-Q can be independently adjusted by via dc bias current of CCCIIs, It is shown from SPICE simulation that the results agree well with theoretical analysis
