The study is devoted to substantiation of directions of intensification of development of small innovative enterprise, which has a significant impact on the overall innovation activity of the country and promotes innovative development, transition to more advanced technological systems. The outlined role of small business in innovative development in the direction of intensifying innovation in the economy, improving organization and production, as well as in the form of direct participation in the innovation process, production of science-intensive products, stimulating demand for innovation. A group of factors hindering the development of small innovative entrepreneurship was identified, including: financial aspects of the activity, shortcomings of organizational and communicative nature, underdeveloped technology market, information plan problems, internal production problems of small business, market problems. The directions of intensification of the development of small innovative entrepreneurship are substantiated, namely: financial and credit support of small innovative entrepreneurship; introduction of tax incentives; material and technical support; nationwide intensification of innovation activity; information support; development of innovation infrastructure. The involvement of the outlined directions of intensification of small innovative entrepreneurship will help to obtain a synergistic effect of innovative development of both small innovative business structures and the economy as a whole.

This study aimed at exploring new directions for revision of the Rural Development Law. Research and development for environmentally friendly agricultural technologies and localization of the extension offices and staffs were some of the important challenges to agricultural extension services in Korea. The study suggested new directions for revision of the Rural Development Law should consider new development and environmental concerns of agricultural sciences, and needs of farmers, local and central government. Some of major focus of the revised Rural Development Law should include the following; 1) Rural development programs should cover extended areas of newly developed concerns and target groups, 2) County and city administration should provide proper administrative and financial support for local agricultural extension center. 3) Areas for agricultural research and development should be extended to meet the needs of newly developed technologies and sustainable environment system at local level, 4) Monitoring and evaluation of extension efforts should be performed annually to support financially and to strengthen proper systematic linkage between national and local extension services.

This paper proposes strategy development to improve the management of Multicultural Family Support Centers by analyzing four Multicultural Family Support Centers (MFSCs) in Chungcheongnam-do. The research was conducted from September 2012 to January 2013. Future directions for the four MFSCs are established based on a SWOT analysis on both the internal and external environments of the centers. Various strategic directions for the four MFSCs were identified based on these analyses. For center A (urban type, college contract type), the strategic directions included the specialization strategy, systemization strategy, empowerment strategy, standardization strategy, and achievement maximization strategy. The strategic directions for center B (urban-rural combined type, social welfare center contract type) included the improvement of multiculture awareness, specialization strategy, human resource development strategy, and networking strategy. For center C (farming and fishing community type, direct management type by local authority), the strategic directions included the specialization strategy, activation strategy, qualification strategy, and networking strategy. For center D (farming and fishing community type, social welfare center contract type), the strategic directions included the specialization strategy, business standardization strategy, human resource development strategy, and network expansion strategy. The suggested management strategy development for the four MFSCs can provide implications for the management of MFSCs in other areas in Korea.

The objectives of this study were to identify present status of services for upbringing young farmers, and to suggest development directions for upbringing full-time young farmers in Korea. The present status of services for upbringing full-time young was not sufficient, and needed to be improved. The future development directions suggested by the researchers were : 1) to build integrated upbringing service policy ; 2) to systematize upbringing services ; 3) to share the roles of institutions that concerned with the service ; and 4) to reinforce and coordinate activities of various organizations for upbringing full-time young farmers.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the issues of archival contents development for documenting local histories and to suggest the directions of contents development based on case studies. The study begins with analysing four cases of archival contents; two foreign cases for benchmarking, and two domestic cases of the Encyclopedia of Korean Local Cultures, and the local contents of National Archives of Korea. Based on these analyses, it discusses the critical issues of the contents development and suggests the directions of archival contents development for documenting localities.

The Government is making every effort to improve the quality of statistics as well as the statistical system as a part in the sixth Five-year Economic and Social Development Plan which started from 1987. With regard to development plan, this paper is aiming to show the directions for improvement and development of the government statistical activities conforming to new socio-economic situation by reviewing and analysing the developing stage and the current circumstances and problems of statistics.

The purposes of this study were to analyze achievement of the Korea Agricultural Extension Specialist Association and suggest new directions for further development. The Korea Agricultural Extension Specialist Association was organized to develop competencies in specialized field for extension educators in 1996. About 47% of extension educators joined academy during the 5 year period, even though there were many difficulty in organizing extension educators, the Korea Agricultural Extension Specialist Association has achieved to increase independent learning activity, to share new information and improve agent’s competency. New directions for the future development of the Korea Agricultural Extension Specialist Association activities should include the following measures; 1) Academy manages to help member’s competency, 2) Every member of the Association tries to make a concrete goal of activity, 3) The Association members should find ways to enable farmers to remain informed on agricultural extension services to people.

The purpose of this study is finding the right direction to make the best career development systems for the employees in hotel industry in Korea. The condition of the best career development system is satisfaction from companies and employees each other. However, making that condition is not easy for every industry as well as for hotel industry over the world. In this respect, we can find the three directions of career development for applying the systems to the employees like strategy direction oriented, development direction oriented and employee satisfaction oriented. Among those directions, we have to find the best direction for individual satisfaction and organizational company satisfaction. This study will help to make and execute the plan for career development in real hotel industry fields, especially for the policy of human resources management. In this study, we can see the importance of employees' satisfaction for managing a hotel. The increasing productivity of the hotel eventually will be made from career development through employee satisfaction.

As technologies' life-cycle shortens and their development directions are uncertain, firms' technology planning capability becomes increasingly important. Prior patent-based studies using technology growth curves identify developmental stages of technologies, thereby formulating technology development directions from an overall perspective. However, a technology generally consists of multiple sub-technologies and accordingly their development stages are likely various. In this regard, the prior studies failed to identify core sub-technologies and their specific development directions. Therefore, we suggest an approach consisting of 1) identifying core sub-technologies of a given technology using patent co-classifications and social network analysis, and 2) identifying each sub-technology's development stage and thereby determining its further development direction. We apply our approach to patents related to augmented reality to examine its applicability. It is expected that our approach will help identify evolving development stages for the core sub-technologies of a given technology, thereby effectively assisting technology experts in technology planning processes.
