창의성의 영역성에 대한 수행집단간의 비교연구 (The comparison of domain in creativity among performance groups)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 초·중·고등학교의 교육현장에서 창의성의 영역성이 어떻게 나타나는가를 실증적으로 검증하는 것이다. 연구대상을 전체학생 집단, 고창의성 집단, 저창의성 집단의 3개 집단으로 구분하여 각 집단에서의 영역성을 비교 규명하는 것이다. ‘능력-분화가설’에 기초하여, 4개 영역간의 상관관계, 영역-일반성의 변인과 영역-특수성의 영역간의 상관관계, 그리고 영역-특수성에 대한 영역-일반성의 상대적 예측력을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 연구가설과는 오히려 반대의 결과가 나타났다. 즉, 저창의성 집단에서는 영역-특수성을 지지하였으나, 전체학생과 고창의성 집단에서 영역-일반성과 영역-특수성의 어느 한쪽을 일방적으로 지지하기 어려운 결과가 나타났다. 오히려 영역-일방성과 영역-특수성이 상호 보완 또는 통합되는 영역-상보설이 지지되었다.

Improving Adversarial Domain Adaptation with Mixup Regularization

  • Engineers prefer deep neural networks (DNNs) for solving computer vision problems. However, DNNs pose two major problems. First, neural networks require large amounts of well-labeled data for training. Second, the covariate shift problem is common in computer vision problems. Domain adaptation has been proposed to mitigate this problem. Recent work on adversarial-learning-based unsupervised domain adaptation (UDA) has explained transferability and enabled the model to learn robust features. Despite this advantage, current methods do not guarantee the distinguishability of the latent space unless they consider class-aware information of the target domain. Furthermore, source and target examples alone cannot efficiently extract domain-invariant features from the encoded spaces. To alleviate the problems of existing UDA methods, we propose the mixup regularization in adversarial discriminative domain adaptation (ADDA) method. We validated the effectiveness and generality of the proposed method by performing experiments under three adaptation scenarios: MNIST to USPS, SVHN to MNIST, and MNIST to MNIST-M.

수학적 창의성 계발을 위한 과제와 수업 방향 탐색 (Review on Instrumental Task and Program Characteristics for Measuring and Developing Mathematical Creativity)

  • 본 연구는 창의성이 발현되는 인지적 과정이 무엇인지에 대한 관점을 이론적으로 고찰한 후, 이를 토대로 수학적 창의성을 계발하고 측정하는데 바람직한 과제와 수업 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 먼저, 창의성에 대한 영역-특수적 관점과 영역-일반적 관점을 이론적으로 고찰하였다. 창의성 발현에 대한 이 두 관점은 이론적 논의에 그치지 않고 수학적 창의성을 계발하고 신장시키기 위해 고안된 과제와 프로그램에 영향을 미친다. 창의성에 대한 교육학적 고찰에서는 수학적 창의성을 검사하고 계발하기 위한 과제와 수업 프로그램이 구비해야할 조건을 이론적으로 탐색한 후, 이를 바탕으로 실제 수학 수업에서 활용가능한 과제와 수업 사례를 제시하였다. 이 연구의 핵심적인 결론은 창의성의 발현되는 과정에 대한 연구는 수학적 창의성 연구의 핵심이 되어야 하며, 아울러 확산적 사고는 수학적 창의성 계발을 위한 필요조건이지만 충분조건은 될 수 없으므로, 수학적 창의성을 계발하기 위해서는 일반화, 추상화 등 다양한 수학적 추론과 수학적 지식을 고려할 필요가 있다.

심리와 생물 영역에서의 유아의 인과추론 : 영역특정성과 영역일반성의 상호작용 (Young Chilldren's Causal Reasoning on Psychology and Biology : Focusing on the Interaction between Domain-specificty and Domain-generality)

  • This study aimed to investigate the role of domain-specific causal mechanism information and domain-general conditional probability in young children's causal reasoning on psychology and biology. Participants were 121 3-year-olds and 121 4-year-olds recruited from seven childcare centers in Seoul, Kyonggi Province, and Busan. After participants watched moving pictures on psychological and biological phenomena, they were asked to choose appropriate cause and justify their choices. Results of this study were as follows: First, young children made different inferences according to domain-specific causal mechanisms. Second, the developmental level of causal mechanisms has a gap between psychology and biology, and biological knowledge was proved to be separate from psychological knowledge during the preschool period. Third, young children's causal reasoning was different depending on the interaction effect of domain-specific mechanisms and domain-general conditional probability: children could make more inferences based on domain-specific causal mechanisms if conditional probability between domain-appropriate cause and effect was evident. To conclude, it can be inferred that the role of domain-specific causal mechanisms and domain-general conditional probability is not competitive but complementary in young children's causal reasoning.

Vibration analysis of plates with curvilinear quadrilateral domains by discrete singular convolution method

  • A methodology on application of the discrete singular convolution (DSC) technique to the free vibration analysis of thin plates with curvilinear quadrilateral platforms is developed. In the proposed approach, irregular physical domain is transformed into a rectangular domain by using geometric coordinate transformation. The DSC procedures are then applied to discretization of the transformed set of governing equations and boundary conditions. For demonstration of the accuracy and convergence of the method, some numerical examples are provided on plates with different geometry such as elliptic, trapezoidal having straight and parabolic sides, sectorial, annular sectorial, and plates with four curved edges. The results obtained by the DSC method are compared with those obtained by other numerical and analytical methods. The method is suitable for the problem considered due to its generality, simplicity, and potential for further development.

추상화계층에 기반한 작업영역분석의 모델링 개념 및 적용 원칙 (Work Domain Analysis Based on Abstraction Hierarchy: Modelling Concept and Principles for Its Application)

  • As a work analysis technique, Work Domain Analysis (WDA) aims to identify the design knowledge structure of a work domain that human operators interact with through human-system interfaces. Abstraction hierarchy (AH) is a multi-level, hierarchical knowledge representation framework for modeling the functional structure of any kinds of systems. Thus, WDA based on AH aims to identify the functional knowledge structure of a work domain. AH has been used in a range of work domains and problems to model their functional knowledge structure and has proven its generality and usefulness. However, many of researchers and system designers have reported that it is never easy to understand the concepts underlying AH and use it effectively for WDA. This would be because WDA is a form of work analysis that is different from other types of work analysis techniques such as task analysis and AH has several unique characteristics that are differentiated from other types of function analysis techniques used in systems engineering. With this issue in mind, this paper introduces the concepts of WDA based on AH and offers a comprehensive list of references. Next, this paper proposes a set of principles for effectively applying AH for work domain analysis, which are developed based on the author's experiences, consultation with experts, and literature reviews.

새로운 분할법에 의한 평면 및 곡면의 삼각형 요소망 자동생성 (Triangular Mesh Generation on Places or Surfaces by a New Looping Method)

  • A general approach to automatic generation of triangular meshes on three-dimensional surfaces is presented in this paper. The approach, developed with emphasis on program generality and interface with CAD/CAM systems, is based on the double mapping method and the looping method. The double mapping method is introduced and anew splitting scheme is proposed for the looping method employed for triangular mesh generation on the parametric domain. Several application examples are given.

A Domain-independent Dual-image based Robust Reversible Watermarking

  • Robust reversible watermarking has attracted widespread attention in the field of information hiding in recent years. It should not only have robustness against attacks in transmission but also meet the reversibility of distortion-free transmission. According to our best knowledge, the most recent robust reversible watermarking methods adopt a single image as the carrier, which might lead to low efficiency in terms of carrier utilization. To address the issue, a novel dual-image robust reversible watermarking framework is proposed in this paper to effectively utilize the correlation between both carriers (namely dual images) and thus improve the efficiency of carrier utilization. In the dual-image robust reversible watermarking framework, a two-layer robust watermarking mechanism is designed to further improve the algorithm performances, i.e., embedding capacity and robustness. In addition, an optimization model is built to determine the parameters. Finally, the proposed framework is applied in different domains (namely domain-independent), i.e., Slantlet Transform and Singular Value Decomposition domain, and Zernike moments, respectively to demonstrate its effectiveness and generality. Experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed dual-image robust reversible watermarking framework.

Time domain broadband noise predictions for non-cavitating marine propellers with wall pressure spectrum models

  • The broadband noise can be dominant or important for total characteristics for marine propeller noise representing the minimum base of self-noise. Accurate prediction of such noise is crucial for survivability of underwater military vessels. While the FW-H Formulation 1B can be used to predict broadband trailing edge noise, the method required experiment measurements of surface pressure correlations, showing its limitations in generality. Therefore, in this study, the methods are developed to utilize wall pressure spectrum models to overcome those limitations. Chase model is adopted to represent surface pressure along with the developed formulations to reproduce pressure statistics. Newly developed method is validated with the experiments of airfoils at different velocities. Thereafter, with its feasibility and generality, the procedure incorporating computational fluid dynamics is established and performed for a propeller behind submarine hull. The results are compared with the experiments conducted at Large Cavitation Tunnel, thus showing its usability and robustness.

관계형 강화 학습을 위한 도메인 지식의 효과적인 활용 (Effective Utilization of Domain Knowledge for Relational Reinforcement Learning)

  • 최근 들어 강화 학습은 심층 신경망 기술과 결합되어 바둑, 체스와 같은 보드 게임, Atari, StartCraft와 같은 컴퓨터 게임, 로봇 물체 조작 작업 등과 같은 다양한 분야에서 매우 놀라운 성공을 거두었다. 하지만 이러한 심층 강화 학습은 행동, 상태, 정책 등을 모두 벡터 형태로 표현한다. 따라서 기존의 심층 강화 학습은 학습된 정책의 해석 가능성과 일반성에 제한이 있고, 도메인 지식을 학습에 효과적으로 활용하기도 어렵다는 한계성이 있다. 이러한 한계점들을 해결하기 위해 제안된 새로운 관계형 강화 학습 프레임워크인 dNL-RRL은 센서 입력 데이터와 행동 실행 제어는 기존의 심층 강화 학습과 마찬가지로 벡터 표현을 이용하지만, 행동, 상태, 그리고 학습된 정책은 모두 논리 서술자와 규칙들로 나타내는 관계형 표현을 이용한다. 본 논문에서는 dNL-RRL 관계형 강화 학습 프레임워크를 이용하여 제조 환경 내에서 운송용 모바일 로봇을 위한 행동 정책 학습을 수행하는 효과적인 방법을 제시한다. 특히 본 연구에서는 관계형 강화 학습의 효율성을 높이기 위해, 인간 전문가의 사전 도메인 지식을 활용하는 방안들을 제안한다. 여러 가지 실험들을 통해, 본 논문에서 제안하는 도메인 지식을 활용한 관계형 강화 학습 프레임워크의 성능 개선 효과를 입증한다.
