  • In this paper, we suggest a system architecture for korean air traffic control system through investigating a korean ARTS (Automated radar terminal system) and ACC (Area control center) system. We focus on designing a network architecture for supporting both an approaching control and an area control. This paper will be a base for developing korean air traffic control system by ourselves.

  • The objective of this study was to develop an electronic-hydraulic depth control system. Simulation was carried out to investigate the responses of the control system, and indoor experiments were carried out to confirm the simulation results of the control system. Field experiments were carried out to compare the newly-developed electronic-hydraulic depth-control system with the existing mechanical-hydraulic position control system in terms of the performance of depth control. The electronic-hydraulic depth control system showed better performance than the existing mechanical-hydraulic hitch control system for the forward speeds of tractor less than 7 km/h. It is concluded that the new control system could be adapted to the existing tractors with slight modifications to the conventional mechanical-hydraulic hitch control systems.

  • In this paper a stepping motor drive electronic ratio control system for a metal belt CVT is suggested. The electronic ratio control system developed in this study is designed to control flow rate which is required to obtain the shift speed and to control the primary actuator pressure to maintain the desired ratio. Considering these control characterstics a fuzzy logic is used for the CVT ratio control. Using the fuzzy logic dynamic models of the ratio control system is investigated and compared with the experimental results. The experimental and simulation results show that the electronic ratio control system developed in this study can be used in CVT system for the active control of the speed ratio.

  • An electronic control system of the automobile engine for optimal start and idle speed control has been developed. This system employs the microcoputer-based electronic control unit and crank angle sensor for precise control on fuel injection, ignition timing, and idle speed more quickly and accurately at the start and idling. Consequently, the number of misfire can be reduced during been affected by air flow rate, idle quality(roughness), spark timing, fuel injection, water temperature, and load, Thus, this electronic control system strivers to reach the optimal idle operating point, defined the lowest idle speed(fuel economy) and idle quality(roughness), under any engine operating conditions.

  • This paper introduces the controller development of booster multi-pump system with constantly estimated control algorithm. Through analyzing by the experiment of optimal pressure with a certain flow rate. The larger pressure processing apparatus in microprocessor makes optimal water-supplying. This method is implemented with the only pure control algorithm without any other mechanical or circuitry apparatus. Also, Pump's life is lengthened by exchanging simple on, off and rotational inverter control. Optimal condition for pump is adjusted by the inverter control, and compact control panel helps the booster system install in real field.

  • In order to control multi-zone temperatures, a multi-type air-conditioning system may be used. In this study, control algorithms for the compressor and the electronic expansion valve of a multi-type air-conditioning system were developed by using fuzzy logics. The compressor control algorithm was composed of a compressor pressure setpoint algorithm, a compressor pressure setpoint reset algorithm, and a compressor frequency setpoint algorithm. The electronic expansion valve control algorithm was composed of an indoor temperature control algorithm, and a superheat control algorithm. These algorithms were applied to a multi-type air-conditioning system. Test showed good results for the control of a multi-type air-conditioning system.

  • Generally, biped walking is difficult to control because it is a nonlinear system with various uncertainties. In this paper, we design a robust control system based on sliding-mode control (SMC) of 5-link biped robot using the wavelet neural network(WNN), in order to improve the efficiency of position tracking performance of biped locomotion. In our control system, the WNN is utilized to estimate uncertain and nonlinear system parameters, where the weights of WNN are trained by adaptive laws that are induced from the Lyapunov stability theorem. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control system is verified by computer simulations.

  • This paper proposes supplementary control of conventional coordinated control of a power plant which directly affects network frequency. The supplementary control with dynamic matrix control is applied for 1000 MW power plant with ultra-supercritical (USC) once-through boiler. The supplementary control signal is added to the boiler feedforward signal in the existing coordinated control logic. Therefore, it is a very practical structure that can maintain the existing multi-loop control system. This supplementary controller uses the step response model for the power plant system, and on-line optimization is performed at every sampling step. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed supplementary control in a wide operating range of a practical 1000 MW USC power plant simulator. These results can contribute the stable operation of power system frequency.

  • Due to the asymptotic property, deadbeat control can hardly be applied to the continuous time system control. But some delay element method can deal such a problem. Besides delay element method, well-known digital deadbeat control can be used by the aid of some smoothing elements. In this paper, 2nd order smoothing element is used for the smoothing of the digital deadbeat controller. And this element is argumented to the plant, and so control problem is to control the argumented system digitally. We simulated this control system using Matlab language and finally apply this algorithm to the rotary inverted pendulum system.

  • 본 연구는 이러한 경사 토지와 경사진 도로 측면 등 다양한 영역에서 작동하는 캔을 구현 잡초의 전자 제어 시스템을 개발 하였다. 잡초 구현은 다섯 가지 주요 부분으로 구성 전자 제어 시스템, 유압 시스템, 메인 프레임, 붐 및 팔을 이용하는 기계와 회전형 제초기. 그리고 잡초는 전자 제어 시스템의 사용을 고려 트랙터의 3 점 히치 의해 부착될 수 있도록 개발되었다 구현한다. 그 결과, 전자 제어 시험 제초 구현 경사 땅 트랙터에 장착하여 실시했다. 전자 제어 시스템의 테스트 결과가 만족 제초 성능을 보여 주었다.
