We live in an age of information and an era of rising environmental awareness. As a result, efficient and judicious use of environmental information has become a prerequisite to planning and management of environmental affairs in contemporary societies. So, we have embarked on a study of Environmental Information System(EIS). In the first article, we discussed the status analysis of EIS in Korea, USA, and Japan. This study as the second project has three major components. First, it classifies items and sources of 22 EIA factors. Second, it explains building of environmental information comprising geographic and attribute data of 17 factors. Finally, the study presents applications of EIS as an alternative assessment of suitability analysis. Based on these analysis, the study makes some recommendations and conclusions.

The purpose of the study is to empirically investigate the effect of suppliers' environmental consciousness on environmental information sharing and management performance and to conduct the mediating effect of environmental information sharing between the environmental consciousness of suppliers and environmental management performance. The scope of environmental consciousness was extended from the consumer perspective to the organizational perspective and proposed a variable called environmental information sharing to explain how environmental consciousness affects environmental management performance. The research model and hypotheses were established based on previous studies. After collecting 295 samples of effective responses from suppliers, an empirical analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling. The findings show that suppliers' environmental consciousness affects environmental information sharing and management performance, and such sharing has a mediating effect on the relationship between suppliers' environmental consciousness and environmental management performance. The fact that environmental consciousness affects environmental management performance indicates that environmental consciousness is not just a concept of values such as the firm's belief or will, but a part of the firm's actual goal of performance. Therefore, suppliers have difficulties in reality such as a lack of professional manpower or guideline, but it is necessary to enhance the importance of environmental consciousness and promote environmental information sharing.

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in Korea has worked toward environmental conservation and decision making since the Environmental Impact Statement of 1981. In order to implement the EIA process effectively, we have developed a system for and various methods of EIA. Among these methods, the Environmental Information System, which was introduced recently in Korea, can be used to integrate geographic and attribute data effectively. This study includes methods by which we may use the Environmental Information System. First of all, it explains building EIA factors on the natural environment, the living environment, and the socio-economic environment defined by Environmental Impact Statement regulations in Korea. This study also presents some applications of the assessment methods concerning suitability analysis of landfill sites. Finally, it shows the effectiveness of the Environmental Information System in odor impact assessment. Based on these analysis, the study makes some conclusions for the applications of the Environmental Information System.

During the past few decades, we have recorded a phenomenal rate of growth. and experienced an array of environmental problems such as pollution, destruction of natural environment, and ecological disturbances. In response to these problems we has embarked on a study of Environmental Information System(EIS). This study has four major components. First, it describes the current status of EIS in Korea. Second, it provides a survey of EIS in other countries, specifically USA and Japan. Third, the study also presents an application of GIS(Geographic Information System)in Korea, USA, and Japan. Finally, the study outlines strategies to develop EIS in Korea.

For managing and analyzing effectively diverse and complicated environmental informations, informations should be built systematically, and techniques should be developed. Environmental Information System(EIS) is composed of environmental informations, GIS, and manpower. Recently it is applied to Environmental Impact Assessment and environmental management, etc.. For effective application, EIS techniques will be improved. This article has four components. First, it describes building of environmental information comprising geographic and attribute data using GIS in Chuncheon district. Second, it explains programming for effective information analysis and management using AML(Are Macro Language in ARC INFO). Third, it provides specific functional capabilities including suitability analysis. Based on these analysis, this study makes some examples for systematic analysis and management of environmental information using interactive system.

As the management and preservation of the environment become an important social issue, information required to support environmental task is required. So, there is an increasing demand for environmental information and appropriate systems to manage it. The vast volume of environmental data is distributed in different knowledge domains and systems. Environmental data objects have the complex structure containing environmental quality data and attribute data. Environmental information systems must be able to address these properties. This research has aimed at constructing well-defined schema design of environmental data, and making system architecture that environmental data kept by authorities should be made available to the public user. There are 3 major components in environmental information systems architecture ; User interface, Catalog libraries, Communication Provider. Web browsers provide consistent and intuitive user interfaces on Internet. The communication provider is a collection of diverse CGI functions. The main roles of the CGIs are to build interfaces between the Web, databases. Catalog libraries is libraries of various matadata including administration matadata. Administration matadata support the environmental administration and the managerial aspects of environmental data rather than explain a database itself or its properties.

The objective of this study is to establish the application method of environmental information system which is related to hazard identification for Health Risk Assessment. For establishing the environmental information system, fourteen hazardous chemicals were chosen and applicated to the database network such as RTKNET(Right Know Net), MSDS(Material Safety Data Sheets), TRI(Toxic Release Inventory), IRIS, AIRS, etc. The searching method of environmental information is classified to three sections such as the domestic commercial information company, international database agencies, and internet. Recently the importance of environmental information is being emphasized because it is essential 10 use database system in the field of environmental studies. Most of the foreign research organizations are communicating actively for information exchange, and the improvement of the quality of research. It is required to accumulate the data and develop them to database for future research.

Development projects and related environmental impacts take place in space. Therefore, it is important to use spatial information in the environmental impact assessment process. This study proposes to construct spatial information produced by various organizations as an inventory and suggests it to be utilized in environmental impact assessment process. For this purpose, investigate the use of spatial information in the environmental impact assessment process and list of environmental space information provided by public information systems. and applied the methodology derived from previous studies to build an inventory of spatial information using environmental impact assessment. The spatial information utilized in the environmental impact assessment work was 64 items. Based on the data availability, linkage and renewability, the spatial information of the Environment that can be used for the environmental impact assessment was 45 items. Finally 49 items, including 19 new items were presented as an inventory, contributing to the performance of environmental impact assessment based on spatial information.

Few prior studies investigated the correlation between corporate ownership structure and environmental information disclosure. Using environmental index disclosure in GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) reports of the Korean companies, the study examines the effects of ownership structure on the magnitude of environmental information disclosure. A total of 220 firm-years during 2013-2016 period are analyzed. The empirical results of the study indicate that the institutional and foreign investors' ownership have positive correlations with environmental information disclosure, while the executives' within board of directors has a negative correlation. The ownership by largest shareholders including those with special interests shows no significant relationship with the environmental information disclosure.

Environmental pollution and climate change in Vietnam are now becoming a major concern. This situation is increasing the pressure on the companies to improve their social responsibility in production and business activities and disclose the environmental information to meet the requirements of stakeholders. This study investigates the internal and external factors of the company that affects the environmental information disclosure of listed companies on the Vietnam stock market as business sector, firm size, corporate manager perceptions, profitability, financial leverage, community pressure, pressures from stakeholders, government pressure influencing environmental information disclosure. Analytical data collected through the survey of 120 listed companies on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE). By testing Cronbach's Alpha, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and logistic regression analysis, the results of the study show that the level of environmental information disclosure of listed companies on the stock market in Vietnam depends heavily on government regulations, followed by the pressure from stakeholders, community pressure, views of business managers, companies size, business sector, and particularly profitability and financial leverage factors that have a negative relationship with environmental information disclosure.
