This study examines how marital dissatisfaction is connected with extramarital relations among married women. To explore this subject,1 am using in-depth interview techniques. The data from 16 married women who involved (and are involving) extramarital relations are collected in semistructured interviews. In this article, I describe four specific types of extramarital relations with particular relevance to marital dissatisfaction: (1) temporary extramarital relations caused by marital dissatisfaction, (2) positive extramarital relations as maintaining dissatisfied marriage, (3) unavoidable extramarital relations as breaking dissatisfied marriage, and (4) extramarital relations as a part of life with satisfied marriage. With these results, I believe that equity theory could be applicable in explaining the relationships between marital satisfaction and extramarital relations. There are limitations when the qualitative research is analyzed. One problem is measurement. It is difficult to measure equality (or equity), life dissatisfaction, and other concepts. furthermore, this study is not abbe to explain causal relationships among equality, life dissatisfaction, actual extramarital relations. The future study should perhaps be in quantitative research focused on the causal model in which all exchange variables are conceptualized and properly measured for the intimate relationship.

The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness and experience of extramarital relations across individual and familial variables of married men and women. Data for this study were 600 married men and women who were recruited the respondents through internet site. Results of this study were as follows; 1) Most of married men and women were regarded extramarital relations types(emotional connections, short-term relationship such as prostitution, sexual intercourse except a prostitution, one-night stands, physical connections, letter chatting with multimedia, video chatting with multimedia), By gender men had more permissiveness attitudes about extramarital relations type than women, 2) There were significant differences in the awareness and experience of extramarital relations types across variables(sex, age, education level, income, occupation, religion, marriage duration). 3) Married men reported that they experience(emotional connections, sexual intercourse, physical connections, letter chatting with multimedia, video chatting with multimedia, infidelity ideation, infidelity attempts) more extramarrital relations types than married women. There were significant differences in the experience extramarital relations types across variables.

The purpose of this study is to identify individuals' perceptions of extramarital relationships between themselves and their spouses and to reveal relevant factors. The results of analyzing the data obtained by conducting a survey of married people (402 persons) are as follows: First, the perception of spouse's extramarital relationship turned out to be much more negative than the person's perception of his(her) own extramarital relationship, which led to the discovery of a double standard. Second, men are far more receptive to extramarital relationships than women. Third, factors affecting the perception of extramarital relationships are gender(-.161), age(.144), presence of employment(.107), physical attraction(.087), autonomy(.120), emotional alienation(.105), openness(.124), pervasiveness of extra-marital relationship(.303), and satisfaction with sexual life(-.131). Factors affecting the perception of spouses' extramarital relationships are found to be emotional maturity(-.127), prevalence of extramarital relationships around them(.113) and satisfaction with sex life(1.131). Based on the main findings, various types of practical intervention that can be used to deal with extramarital relations are discussed.

The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the mediating effects of the acceptance of my extramarital relations, as well as the effects of the individual's openness and emotional isolation on the tolerance of spouse's extramarital affairs. This study is an empirical research based on data analysis obtained by surveying 655 adult men and women. The notable findings are as follow: First, while the openness and emotional isolation does not have direct effect on the tolerance of spouse's extramarital relationship, the direct effect of that on the acceptance of my extramarital relationship is significant. Second, the more acceptance of my extramarital relationship, the less tolerance of spouse's extramarital relationship strongly. Thirdly, the full mediation effect of the acceptance of my extramarital relationship between the individual openness and the tolerance of spouse's extramarital relationship is proved. Moreover, the full mediation effect of the acceptance of mine between the emotional isolation and the tolerance of spouse's is also significant. That is, the effect of individual openness and emotional isolation on the tolerance of spouse's extramarital relationship is influenced by the acceptance of my extramarital relationship. The perception of my extramarital relationship affect the perception of spouse's extramarital relationship. Some practical and political implications regarding extramarital relationship are discussed based on the study's findings.

This study empirically examined the effect of married women's self-awareness on the acceptance of extra-marital relationships and the mediating effects of individuals' criticism of television's drama about infidelity. The data was obtained by conducting a survey of married women (304 persons) and was analyzed based on the Structural Equal Model (SEM). The notable findings are as follows. First, the respondents are generally less receptive to extramarital relationships. Of the total respondents, 46.7% do not accept extramarital relations. 43.8% of the respondents showed an unclear position on extra-marital relationships, and about 10% of respondents showed an accepting position on extramarital affairs. This suggests that extramarital relationships can emerge as a real issue that is important for married women. Second, self-awareness does not directly affect married women's acceptance of extramarital affairs, however, 'self-awareness' proved to have a significant effect on 'acceptance to extramarital relationships' by using 'criticism' as a full mediation effect for affair-themed TV dramas. The effects of critical thinking and the judgment of married women on the content of TV dramas containing adultery has been confirmed to be a very important aspect of married women's understanding of extramarital relationships. Some practical and political implications are discussed based on this study's findings.
