This study suggests the practical method which can reduce the lead time of the field trial and design of the dies. The virtual manufacturing, with which the die design is evaluated by computer analysis, reveals the impropriety of a design before die makings. Three methods for reducing the die making process occupying over 60% of the automotive development are like follows: First, the crack and wrinkle occurrence can be prevented by virtually adjusting the blank holding force and drawbead force with a computer simulation. Second, the parts which can not remove the forming defects in spite of the adjustment of forming parameters need to modify the part geometry or punch temporary shape. Third, the simulation before field trial, and field trial simulation can be effectively used in die design.

Vessel's ice speed performances will be verified in ice sea trial but environmental conditions of ice fields are changeable according to the weather condition of ice trial area. Speed performance has to correct in the no wind, wave and current etc. after sea trial. Especially finding ice fields which is exact the same as owner's ice thickness and strength requirements is not easy. Therefore speed correction according to environment condition has to be done after sea trial measurements. Correction methods for ice thickness, ice strength, wave, wind and ship draft, trim, ice drift etc. are checked in ice sea trial based on literature review such as ISO standard, ITTC recommendation, journal papers and proceedings of conferences. Possibility of application for current and ice drift correction in ice field are discussed and measuring schemes and procedures of correction methods are described in this paper. All of correction schemes are calculated for 'Araon' which is ice breaking research vessel with Arctic and Antarctic ice field test results. Analyzed results shows that Araon is satisfied with her official ice speed performance of 3 knots with 10MW power at 1m ice thickness, 570kPa ice flexural strength.

A study on Automatic Meter Reading and Load Control System used to Distribution Line Carrer has started since 1986, and the field trial system for AMR and LCS was installed to KEPCO on June, 1988. In this paper, we have presented the results of Wavelength Division Multiplexing-Passive Optical Network (WDM-PON) based fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) field trial test which was held in the city of Gwangju. We have implemented an injection locked Fabry-Perot Laser Diode (FP-LD) based WDM-PON system and reliably delivered Internet Protocol TV (IP-TV), networked Personal Video Recorder (N-PVR), High-Definition Video on Demand (HD-VoD), Education on Demand (EoD) and Internet service as FTTH service through the system during the field trial test. We have also verified that the WDM-PON system worked well to provide quality of service (QoS) guaranteed 100Mbps bandwidth per subscriber. Furthermore, we have presented network designing issues in Outside Plant (OSP) and Customer Premises Network (CPN) that should be overcome to efficiently deploy FTTH service. Finally, based on the field trial test results, we proposed FTTH service deployment strategies.

본 연구는 지불계수를 이용하여 시험포장 구간의 품질을 평가하고 이에 따른 피로수명의 변화를 분석하기 위해 실시되었다. 특히 품질관리가 어려운 아스팔트 함량을 지불규정 기준인자로 선정하여 지불계수를 산출하였다. 먼저 아스팔트 함량이 피로수명에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위하여 아스팔트 함량에 따른 피로수명의 연관성을 분석하였다. 이후 총 2회에 걸쳐 시험포장 구간에서 시료를 채취해서 지불계수를 산출하여 시험포장 구간의 품질을 평가하였으며, 지불계수에 따라 시험포장 구간의 품질에 차이가 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 시험포장 구간에 포설된 아스팔트 혼합물을 이용하여 시편을 제작, 피로수명을 분석하였다. 그 결과 지불계수가 높은 시험포장의 피로수명이 월등히 높음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 통계이론을 이용한 지불계수가 실제 포장의 피로수명을 반영한다는 것을 의미한다고 사료된다. 또한 시험포장 구간에 아스팔트 혼합물을 납품한 플랜트의 배합보고서와 동일한 시편을 제작하여 휨 피로시험을 실시하여 1, 2회차 시험포장의 피로수명들과 비교하였다. 그 결과 배합보고서를 기초로 제작한 시편의 피로수명이 시험포장 구간의 피로수명에 비해 월등히 높음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 입도나 기타 요인에 따른 공용성 감소현상이 발생 할 수 있음을 나타내는 것이라 사료된다. 따라서 지불규정을 적용중인 미국과 같이 입도, 공극률 등을 지불규정 기준인자로 선정하여 최종적인 지불계수를 산출하는 것이 보다 정확한 도로포장의 품질을 평가할 수 있을 것이다.

DDS network was implemented by utilizing the digital transmission in PSIN and finished field trial successfully for the first time in our country by DTC. To know the speed performance of "ARAON" in Arctic ice field, the measurement of ice properties which is ice thickness & strength, snow depth and free board were performed on July 2010. The measuring method of nautical signals such as heading angle, power of engine, wind & current information etc. was described in this paper. The speed sea trials in ice were performed on the four different positions with different ice properties and engine powers because the uniform level ice is not detected in the Chukchi Sea. The test field was partially constrained ice floe with hummocks and it was superposed with small broken ice pieces each other. All of the measured ice properties were compared and evaluated according to the results of sea trial. The relations between speed, ice thickness, strength and power were summarized. Consequently according to the sea trial results, the speed of ARAON is 2.78knots at the 2.49m ice thickness with 6.55MW engine power.
