Mainframe Linux를 이용한 가상서버환경은 점차 기존의 분산서버환경과 유사한 방향으로 진화하고 있다. 이와 같이 구현된 가상의 서버환경에서 보안성의 확보는 필수 사항으로 요구되고 있으며 이와 관련한 여러 방안 중 기존 분산서버환경과 유사한 Virtual Firewall의 필요성이 대두되고 있으며, 이에 본 논문은 분산서버환경의 Firewall 적용 및 Mainframe Linux의 가상서버환경 구현에 관한 연구활동을 바탕으로, Firewall로서의 기능적 요구사항과 Mainframe Linux 환경의 Resource 관리 관련요구사항을 기준으로 Debian 계열의 상용 Virtual Firewall의 적용과 성능에 대한 평가를 수행하였다. 추가로 기존 분산서버환경의 Appliance 형태의 Gigabit Firewall의 성능평가 결과를 비교하여 보았다. 기능 및 성능적인 면에서 기존 분산서버환경의 Firewall 제품들과 유사한 수준과, Resource 관리의 측면에서 타 서버들과 공존하는 가상서버환경에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 결과를 보여주었다.

This is an era of technology and with the rapid growth of the Internet, networks are continuously growing. Companies are shifting from simple to more complex networks. Since networks are responsible to transmit huge data which is often sensitive and a point of concern for hackers. Despite the sizes of the networks, all networks are subject to several threats. Companies deploy several security measures to protect their networks from unauthorized access. These security measures are implemented from the device level to the network level. Every security layer adds more to the security of the company's network. Firewalls are the piece of software that provides internal and external security of the network. Firewalls aim to enhance the device level as well as network-level security. This paper aims to investigate the different types of firewalls, their architecture, and vulnerabilities of the firewall. This paper improves the understanding of firewall and its various types of architecture.

Firewall system is a security system for protect the network and is needed for constructing the trusted network. However, these firewall systems deteriorate the performance of whole network in about 60% because of Inefficiency policy establishment and unnecessary traffic occurrence. Therefore, there is a strong needs to establish the network performance elevation, efficient operation and reassignment of the firewall system. In this dissertation, we will analyze how each functionalities of the firewall system affect to the network performance via using a simulation result according to functionality of the firewall system and propose a exclusive firewall system for the efficient network operation.

Korea National Intelligence Service has been issued on K4 Firewall Certificates, and these K4 Firewalls has b een installing all Korean public organizer. I would evaluate the performance tests between the before setting and the after setting of Packet Filtering, NAT, Proxy, and Authentication services on functions of Solaris K4 Firewall System. Also I had been created by performance test between existing 32 bit and latest 64 bit K4 Firewall System on Solaris Operating System, So that the result of improved more two times passed rate on 64bit than 32bit on Solaris K4 Firewall System, At finally, I would conclude that the change direction will be useful for research and development on K4 Firewall System and Korean Firewall System which is a very competitive system in the world.

웹 응용프로그램에 대한 위협이 점차 확산되면서 오늘날 많은 Web Application Firewall들이 등장하고 있다. 하지만, 대부분의 기관에서 웹 서버 자체의 변조는 기관의 미지 실추를 제외하면 업무상 큰 문제를 유발하지 않는다. 웹 서버에 대한 보안을 고려하는 이유는 웹 서버가 침입을 당할 경우 DB 서버의 내용에 손상이 가해질 수 있기 때문이다. 본 고에서는 Web Application Firewall과 연동하여 허용되는 SQL 질의패턴을 자동으로 생성하여 불법적인 SQL 질의를 차단하는 DB Application Firewall을 제안한다. 이를 통해 웹 응용프로그램의 취약점으로 인해 SQL 질의가 변조되더라도 DB 서버에 해당SQL질의가 전달되는 것을 차단할 수 있다.

최근들어 security가 데이터 통신의 중요만 이슈로 떠오르고 여러 기관들의 망에 Firewall을 설치하여 보호하는 것은 점점 더 일반화 되고있다. Sun의 SKIP Firewall Traversal 방법 은 Mobile IP가 Firewall이 설치된 환경에서도 제대로 동작할 수 있도록 고안된 것이다. 그러나 이 방법은 실제 적용에 있어 몇몇 문제점이 발견된다. 본 논문에서는 이 문제점들을 살펴보고 그것을 해 결하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Recently, Network technology evolve out of expansion a scale of Network and development various Service. also Hacking skill. We have applied to various Security Systems to make a counterattack on this hacking skill. and A Firewall among these security systems is very effective a defense against in the Outbound Network attack. so we need certainly a Firewall to protect a network. But this Conventional Firewall has an directly effect on reduction to the Performance and Security of Inbound Network. and have no effect on a Inner Network Attacking. In this paper, I propose to a "Functional Firewall" as a Secure Objects for the enhancement Performance and Security of Inbound Network.

The firewall is generally used to protect the internal information system from intruders and hackers who attack through the Internet. However, it is very difficult for a user to verify the performance of the firewall as well as the difference of the performance for the operating mode such as Bridge Mode and Gateway Mode. In this paper, the performance of a firewall on the operating systems or windows 2000, Linux, and FreeBSD is compared. Finally, The performance of a firewall on the FreeBSD is compared at different operating modes and the effect of the number of rules by testing throughput of a firewall is analyzed.

Firewall은 다양한 부정Access의 방지책으로서 확실히 유효한 수단이지만 이 Firewall은 사용자로부터 지시된 설정을 충실히 실행하는 것으로 설정 오류, 소프트웨어의 정지, 허가된 룰을 악용한 침입 등 반드시 사용자가 바라는 작용을 무조건적 상태에서 보증해 주는 것은 아니다. 따라서 사용자는 도입 후 에도 운용시에 Access log를 감시하고 본래의 Security Policy에 반하는 행위를 매일 매일 체크하지 않으면 안될 상황에 처해 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 부정Access에 대한 이와 같은 Firewall의 현상에 대한 과제 중에서 "부정Access를 어떻게 하면 일찍, 정확히 체크할 수 있는가\ulcorner"라는 주제를 선택하여 Firewall의 한계와 그 대응책을 실제로 부정Access를 시험해 보는 것으로 검증하기로 하였다. 실험결과에서 (1)Port Scan이나 전자메일 폭탄(서비스정지공격)등은 Firewall로 방지하는 것은 불가능하거나 혹은 Checking이 곤란하다. (2)공격마다 로그 수집을 했음에도 관계없이 Firewall의 로그는 번잡하므로 단시간에 사태의 발견이 대단히 곤란하다고 하는 Firewall의 한계를 인식하였다. 그리고 그 대책으로서 우리는 체크 툴의 유효성에 착안하여 조사한 결과, 결국 무엇이 부정Access인가에 대해서는 어디까지나 이용하는 측이 판단하여 Firewall 상에 설정하지 않으면 안되지만 체크 툴은 이 부정Access 정보를 데이터베이스로서 갖고 있음으로써 '무엇이 부정Access인가'를 이용자 대신에 판단하고 툴에 따라서는 설정을 자동적으로 변경하여 부정 Access의 저지율을 향상시킨다. 이처럼 체크 툴은 Firewall의 수비능력을 보강하는 위치에 있다고 생각할 수 있다.다. 4 장에서는 3장에서 제기한 각각의 문제점에 대해 RAD 의 관점에 비추어 e-business 시스템의 단기개발을 실현하기 위한 고려사항이나 조건 해결책을 제안한다. 본 논문이 지금부터 e-business 를 시작하려고 하는 분, e-business 시스템의 개발을 시작하려고 하는 분께 단기간의 e-business 실현을 위한 하나의 지침이 된다면 다행이겠다.formable template is used to optimize the matching.
