In this study, mortar test specimens were produced by varying the mixing ratio of CO2 reaction hardening cement (CSC) and general cement (OPC), and the mechanical and carbonation characteristics were evaluated by controlling the primary curing temperature and secondary curing CO2 pressure. Under all curing conditions, it was observed that the higher the CSC ratio in the binder, the lower the mechanical properties. Specifically, a first curing temperature of 60 ℃ yielded higher mechanical properties compared to the case of 20 ℃, and a greater carbonation penetration depth was also observed. At a first curing temperature of 60 ℃, it was noted that the curing pressure and bending strength during the second CO2 curing were inversely proportional, while the compressive strength showed a proportional relationship. This phenomenon is believed to be due to excessive carbonation, which reduces mechanical properties, and the fact that flexural strength is more sensitive to these properties compared to compressive strength. However, based on the evaluation of the limited curing conditions, it is evident that future test conditions need to be expanded and reviewed more thoroughly.
For this experiment, specimen was manufactured by injecting polymer and monomer into silicon mold with volume ratio of 2.5:1 based on ISO 20795-2 so that average thickness, width and length of specimen would be maintained as 3.3 mm, 10.0 mm and 65.0 mm, respectively depending on spray on technique. Specimen was divided into 3 groups ($25^{\circ}C$, $40^{\circ}C$, $70^{\circ}C$) depending on polymerization temperature and 10 specimen was manufactured for each group and it was polymerized in water tank of ${\pm}1^{\circ}C$ under the setting condition of polymerization time of 15 minutes and pressure of 3 bar. After keeping specimen in distilled water of $37^{\circ}C$ for over 48 hours before experiment, flexural strength (FS) and elasticity modulus (EM) of specimen being tested by using Intron (3344; Instron; Instron). SPSS ver. 16.0 was used for analysis and post-hoc test of Scheffe was performed after using one-way ANOVA. When comparing mean value of FS of resin for orthodontics, it was represented in the range of 71.500 MPa for $25^{\circ}C$ group, 74.920 MPa for $40^{\circ}C$ group and 76.880 MPa for $70^{\circ}C$ group and difference was shown in the order of $25^{\circ}C$ group <$40^{\circ}C$ group <$70^{\circ}C$ group but such difference was not significant statistically (p=0.052). Result of EM mean value of resin for orthodontics was more polymerization temperature was high, the more was significant difference represented in the order of $25^{\circ}C$ group <$40^{\circ}C$ group <$70^{\circ}C$ group (p<0.039).
Purpose: In this study, we evaluated the bond-strength between a few metal ceramic-alloys and veneered-porcelain and found if the bond strength of metal-ceramic alloy with lower gold content than the presently used gold alloy was high enough. Materials and methods: For this study, after plasticizing porcelain only for gold alloy, metal specimen was fabricated using Ni-Cr alloy and gold alloy with different gold content. Three point flexural test were performed to measure their bond-strength. Results: The bonding strength of Group 1 to porcelain was $40.62{\pm}3.32$ MPa, which was the highest (P<.05). In sequence of decreasing value, Group 2 (75%) was $37.47{\pm}1.57$ MPa, Group 3 (52%) $35.85{\pm}1.48$ MPa, Group 4 (51.5%) $35.04{\pm}1.34$ MPa, Group 5 (32%) $33.17{\pm}1.62$ MPa, Group 6 (10%) $30.75{\pm}1.21$ MPa. Bonding strength of Group 3 and Group 4 to porcelain did not show statistically significant difference with comparison to that of Group 5 (Duncan's test, P>.05), while there was a significant difference between that of Group 2, Group 3 and Group 4 and that of Group 6 (Duncan's test, P<.05). The bonding strength between gold alloy and porcelain increased according to the content of gold. In all experimental groups showed higher value than 25 MPa, which is the least value recommended by ISO 9693. Conclusion: In all groups, bonding strength was higher than 25 MPa, which is the least value of ISO9693. Therefore, it is considered that metal gold alloy with low gold content is clinically usable.

Purpose: Ni-Cr alloy does not contain Beryllium, causing the metal compound to form oxides in the furnace but by using Titanium as a chemical catalyst the forming of the oxides can be controlled, and by controlling the impurities formed on the metal surface, the possibility of the Ni-Cr alloy bond strength being increased can be analysed. Materials and Methods: Titanium was used as a chemical catalyst in the porcelain for the oxidation of beryllium-free metal (Ni-Cr) alloy. The T1 group, which does not use Titanium power as a chemical catalyst is a reference model for comparison. The T2 group and T3 group used 10 g and 20 g of Titanium power, respectively. They are fabricated to observe the shear bond strength and surface properties. There was no significance when One-way ANOVA analysis/Tukey Honestly Significant Difference Test was conducted for statistical analysis among groups (P > 0.05). Results: Results of measuring the three-point flexural bond strength of the Ni-Cr alloy and thickness of the oxide film. Experiment T3 using 20 g Titanium chemical catalyst: $39.22{\pm}3.41MPa$ and $6.66{\mu}m$, having the highest bond strength and thinness of oxide film. Experiment T2 using 10 g Titanium chemical catalyst: $34.65{\pm}1.39MPa$ and $13.22{\mu}m$. Experiment T1 using no Titanium chemical catalyst: $32.37{\pm}1.91MPa$ and $22.22{\mu}m$. Conclusion: The T2 and T3 experiments using Titanium chemical catalyst showed higher bond strength for the Ni-Cr alloy and lower thickness of oxide film than experiment T1, and the titanium catalyst being able to increase bond strength was observed.

State of problem : The use of zirconium oxide all-ceramic material provides several advantages, including a high flexural strength(>1000MPa) and desirable optical properties, such as shading adaptation to the basic shades and a reduction in the layer thickness. Along with the strength of the materials, the cementation technique is also important to the clinical success of a restoration. Nevertheless, little information is available on the effect of different surface treatments on the bonding of zirconium high-crystalline ceramics and resin luting agents. Purpose : The aim of this study was to test the effects of surface treatments of zirconium on shear bond strengths between bovine teeth and a zirconia ceramic and evaluate differences among cements Material and methods : 54 sound bovine teeth extracted within a 1 months, were used. They were frozen in distilled water. These were rinsed by tap water to confirm that no granulation tissues have left. These were kept refrigerated at $4^{\circ}C$ until tested. Each tooth was placed horizontally at a plastic cylinder (diameter 20mm), and embedded in epoxy resin. Teeth were sectioned with diamond burs to expose dentin and grinded with #600 silicon carbide paper. To make sure there was no enamel left, each was observed under an optical microscope. 54 prefabricated zirconium oxide ceramic copings(Lava, 3M ESPE, USA) were assigned into 3 groups ; control, airborne-abraded with $110{\mu}m$$Al_2O_3$ and scratched with diamond burs at 4 directions. They were cemented with a seating force of 10 ㎏ per tooth, using resin luting cement(Panavia $F^{(R)}$), resin cement(Superbond $C&B^{(R)}$), and resin modified GI cement(Rely X $Luting^{(R)}$). Those were thermocycled at $5^{\circ}C$ and $55^{\circ}C$ for 5000 cycles with a 30 second dwell time, and then shear bond strength was determined in a universal test machine(Model 4200, Instron Co., Canton, USA). The crosshead speed was 1 mm/min. The result was analyzed with one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA) and the Tukey test at a significance level of P<0.05. Results : Superbond $C&B^{(R)}$ at scratching with diamond burs showed the highest shear bond strength than others (p<.05). For Panavia $F^{(R)}$, groups of scratching and sandblasting showed significantly higher shear bond strength than control group(p<.05). For Rely X $Luting^{(R)}$, only between scratching & control group, significantly different shear bond strength was observed(p<.05). Conclusion : Within the limitation of this study, Superbond $C&B^{(R)}$ showed clinically acceptable shear bond between bovine teeth & zirconia ceramics regardless of surface treatments. For the surface treatment, scratching increased shear bond strength. Increase of shear bond strength by sandblasting with $110{\mu}m$$Al_2O_3$ was not statistically different.
In general, fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) wastes are simply buried or burned. Landfill brings about a permanent contamination of soil due to the inability of FRP to decompose and incineration causes an issue of generating toxic gases and dusts. There have been several ways to treat the FRP wastes such as landfill, incineration, chemical recycling, material recycling and the utilization of energy from combustion. Most methods excluding material recycling are known to have critical limitations in economic, technical and environmental manners. However it is known that material recycling is most desirable among the methods handling FRP wastes. In this study, to investigate the purpose of feasibility of material recycling, various bulk molding compound (BMC) specimens were prepared with the various contents of unsaturated polyester resin binder (25, 30, 35 wt%) and the various replacement ratios of FRP wastes powder (0, 25, 50, 75, 100 wt%) substituted for filler. To evaluate the physical properties BMC specimens, various tests such as tensile strength, flexural strength, impact strength, hot water resistance and SEM imaging were conducted. As a results, mechanical strengths decreased with an increase of replacement ratio of FRP waste powder and physical properties of BMC specimens were deteriorated in the hot water resistance. The fluidity of BMC with more than 50 wt% of the replacement ratio of FRP wastes powder decreased remarkably, causing a problem in the BMC composite.
The objective of the paper is to experimentally investigate the effect of commercially avaliable fiber types such as polypropylene (PP), nylon (NY), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and cellulose (CL) on the engineering properties of concrete for pavement application. The results, showed the fluidity tends to decrease with fibers addition compared to that of plain concrete. As for the effect of fiber types on fluidity loss, use of NY appear to give the most favorable results among all of the fiber types investigated in this study while the effect of the fibers on air content was negligible. For the properties of hardened concrete, compressive and flexural strengths increased with fibers compared to plain concrete. The contribution of NY fibers to strength was the highest followed in the order by NY, PVA, PP, and CL. However, in the case of the splitting tensile strength, its values were increased with NY and PP only. For porosity based on MIP(mercury intrusion penetration) method, the number of around 1 was observed when NY was mixed resulting in increased cumulated amounts of porosity compared with that of plain mix. Thus, based on the consideration of fluidity and strength it was found that the addition of NY fiber showed the optimal results under the conditions applied in this study.
In this thesis, the fatigue tests were performed on a series of R /C beams repaired with co&
crete-lmlyrner composites to investigate the fatigue bahavior. The three point loading system is
used in the fatigue tests. In these tests, relations between the repeated loading cycles and
mid-span deflections, number of repeated loading cycles when repaired beams were fractured,
the bonding performance of repair materials were observed. On this basis, the mid-span
deflections, the crack growth and failure mode of repaired R /C beams were studied. A S-N
curve was drawn to present the fatigue strength of repaired beams.
From the test results, it was shown that behavior of R /C beams repaired with
polymer-cement series were very sirnillar to control beam about bonding performance, mid-span
deflections and fatigue strength according to S-N curve drawn by the regression anlysis on the
fatigue test results.
The effects of polymer-cement ratio, antifoamer content and shrinkage-reducing agent content on the air content, setting time, drying shrinkage and strength of high-fluidity polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powder are examined. As a result, the air content of the polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powder tends to decrease nth increasing polymer-cement ratio and antifoamer content. Regardless of the antifoamer content, the setting time of the polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powder tends to delayed with increasing polymer-cement ratio. Irrespective of the antifoamer content, the drying shrinkage of the polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powder tend to decrease with increasing polymer-cement ratio and shrinkage-reducing agent content. Regardless of the antifoamer content, the flexural and tensile strengths of the polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powder tends to increase with increasing polymer-cement ratio, and tend to decrease with increasing shrinkage-reducing agent content. However, the compressive strength of the polymer-modified mortars using redispersible polymer powder decreases with increasing polymer-cement ratio and shrinkage-reducing agent content.

The material and geometrical nonlinear finite elment analysis of UHPFRC 50M composite box girder was carried out. Constitute law in tension and compressive region of UHPFRC and HPC were modeled based on specimen test. The accuracy of nonlinear FEM analysis was verified by the experimental result of UHPFRC 50M composite girder. The UHPFRC 50M segmental composite box girder which has 1.5% steel fiber of volume fraction, 135MPa compressive strength and 18MPa tensile strength was tested. The post-tensioned UHPFRC composite girder consisted of three segment UHPFRC U-girder and High Strength Concrete reinforced slab. The parts of UHPFRC girder were modeled by 8nodes hexahedron elements and reinforcement bars and tendons were built by 2nodes linear elements by Midas FEA software. The constitutive laws of concrete materials were selected Multi-linear model both of tension and compression function under total strain crack model, which was included in classifying of smeared crack model. The nonlinearity of reinforcement elements and tendon was simulated by Von Mises criteria. The nonlinear static analysis was applied by incremental-iteration method with convergence criteria of Newton-Raphson. The validation of numerical analysis was verified by comparison with experimental result and numerical analysis result of load-deflection response, neutral axis coordinate change, and cracking pattern of girder. The load-deflection response was fitted very well with comparison to the experimental result. The finite element analysis is seen to satisfactorily predict flexural behavioral responses of post-tensioned, reinforced UHPFRC composite box girder.
