The characteristics of forced vibration with excited sinusoidal force was introduced. Also, numerical analyses and FRF in frequency domain were performed in detail. In this regard, the responses of displacement, velocity and acceleration were investigated in a forced vibration model. The FRF characteristics in real and imaginary part around natural frequency are also discussed. This response approach of forced vibration in time domain is used for the identification and monitoring of sinusoidal forced vibration. For acquiring a displacement, velocity and acceleration, a numerical technique of Runge-Kutta-Gill method was performed. For the FRF(frequency response function), These responses are used. Also, the FRF can represent the intrinsic characteristics of the forced vibration. These performed results and analysis are successful in each damped condition for the forced vibration model. After numerical analysis of the different mass, damping and stiffness, the forced vibration response characteristics with sinusoidal force was discriminated considering its amplitude and frequency simultaneously.

A simplified modeling approach of forced vibration for occupied car seats was demonstrated by using a mathematical model presented in 'Free Vibration of Car seat and Mannequin System' nonlinear and linear equations of motions were rederived for forced vibration and the transfer function was used to calculate the frequency response function. The experimental apparatus were set up and hydraulic shaker was used to obtain the system responses. Through the tests mannequin's head had a lot of problems and the responses with a head and without a head were measured. To explore the effects of linear dampings and friction moments at the joints linear analyses were performed. New sets of linear spring and damping coefficients and torsional dampings at the joints were calculated through parameter study to match up with experimental results. Good agreement between experimental and simulation frequency response estimates were obtained both in terms of locations of resonances and system deflection shapes at resonance indicating that this is a feasible method of modeling seated occupants.

In this study, reactions of central nervous systems working against different conditions of forced frequency and acceleration were measured and analyzed. The experiment are conducted with health men. The steady vibration conditions of forced frequency (0.315m/s2-1.0Hz, 0.315m/s2-10Hz and 10Hz-1.0m/s2) are used and the waves of EEG (Electroencephalogram) are measured. As a result, this paper shows that the ${\alpha}-wave$ of frontal lobe transfers from low to high frequency band under the vibration environment. Additionally, the average frequency of ${\alpha}-wave$ is higher under the vibration than under non-vibration environment. In the case of forced frequency of 1.0Hz-0.315m/s2, the feeling with the vibration are nearly same compared with the non-vibration condition. But in the case of 10Hz-1.0m/s2, uncomfortable feeling increased compared with the non-vibration condition. This study also shows the relationship between fluctuation slop and feeling. From this study, it is found that the effect of vibration on human depends on acceleration characteristics. Highly accelerating vibration is more harmful to human.

The forced vibration response characteristics of a elastically restrained pipe conveying fluid with attached mass are investigated in this paper. Based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, the equation of motion is derived by using Hamilton's principle. The effects of attached mass and spring constant on the forced vibration characteristics of pipe at conveying fluid are studied. The forced deflection response of pipe with attached mass due to the variation of fluid velocity is also presented. The deflection response is the mid-span deflection of the pipe. The dimensionless forcing frequency is the range from 0 to 16 which is the first natural frequency of the pipe.

This research proposes a method to estimate the fatigue life of solid-state drive(SSD) due to the effect of dummy solder ball under forced vibration. Mechanical jig is developed to describe the SSD in laptop computer. The jig with SSD is mounted on a shaker, and excited by a sinusoidal sweep vibration within the narrow frequency band around the first resonant frequency until the SSD fails. A finite element model of SSD is also developed to simulate the forced vibration. It shows that the solder joints at the corners of controller package are most vulnerable components and that placing dummy solder balls at those area is effective method to increase fatigue life of SSD.
A laboratory model test was carried out with a newly designed model to figure out the vibration characteristics of the vibratory tillage tool according to the method of forced vibration, i.e., horizontally and vertically forced vibrations. The results are summarized as follows: 1. The reduction ratios of the draft force of the vibratory blade were 14.2-42.6% for the case where the vibration was forced parallel to the travelling direction of the blade, and 15-54.5% for the vertically forced vibration. And it was thought that the method of vertically forced vibration was preferable to the reduction of the draft force. 2. The ratio of the draft force of a vibratory blade to that of a static one could be represented as a function of V/At. It was found to be possible to reduce the draft force by taking a lower value of (V/Af) and this meant that the effictiveness of tillage practice using the vibratory system would be limited. 3. The torque to the main rotating shaft to vibrate the model blade increased frequency and amplitude. This tendency varied according to the physical properties of tested soil. In case of horizontally forced vibration, the torque was 8~34% less than in case of vertically forced vibration. 4. With the increase of frequency, the total power requirement increased linearly, and also the portion of oscillating power requirement in the total power tended to increase. The magnitude of the total power requirement was 1.4-13 times greater than that of a static one for the case of horizontal vibration, and 1.5-15 times greater for the case of vertical vibration. It was thought that the horizontal vibration of the blade was preferable to the vertical vibration in view of the power requirement. 5. A linearity was found between the amplitude of moment oscillogram and magnitude of oscillating acceleration. Only positive values of moment occurred when the blade was forced to vibrate vertically, but negative values occurred in rarity in the case of amplitude A3 when the blade was forced to vibrate horizontally.

A vibration excitation system was designed and built of forced vibration experiments for using stepping motor and load cell. The identified flutter derivatives of the thin-plate acrylic model were very close to the analytical results of the idealized plate presented by Theodorsen. Five types of sectional models were tested in the wind tunnel using the proposed forced vibration method. To investigate the frequency, amplitude and angle of attack effects on flutter derivatives.

This paper deals with finite element analysis for free vibration and forced sine vibration of Ka- and Ku- bend antenna structures using MSC/PATRAN/NASTRAN. The structures are designed to satisfy minimum resonance frequency requirement in order to decouple the dynamic interaction of the satellite with the spacecraft bus structure. From the forced sinusoidal vibration, we have observed output acceleration versus input in X-,Y- and Z- direction, based on base excitation using large mass method. The results of finite elements analysis can be used as the reference data for the experimental test of satellite antenna, resulting in the reduction of cost and time by predicting and complementing experimental data.

Forced vibration of a thin circular ring with a concentrated harmonic force is analyzed when the ring is free and has only the in-plane motion. Using the unit doublet function for external force, the governing equation is obtained and is solved by the use of Laplace transform. The exact solutions of displacement components and bending moment are obtained. In order to verify the solutions of analysis, finite element analysis is performed and the results shows good agreement. Then, frequency response curves for displacement and bending moment are obtained. In deriving the governing equations and the solutions, nondimensional parameter of the exciting frequency and the magnitude of exciting force are extracted. As the displacement components are obtained, the remaining bending strain, slope, curvature, shear force, etc. can also be derived. With the results of this work, the responses of a free ring excited on multiple points with different frequencies can also be obtained easily by superposition.
