  • This paper analysed the characteristic of Power consumption at many type of Inverter controlled Elevator. Especially, this paper proposed the standard value of full load currents. For this propose, it was classified by the passenger capacity and manufacture company. As a result, it is found that (i) the value is between -3[A] and 7[A] in case of elevator. That means the full load currents was smaller than the standard value of conventional operation type (ii) the value is between 0.5[kVA] and 3[kVA] in case of Power transformer. That means the transformer capacity was smaller than the standard value of conventional operation type. it was classified by the passenger capacity at inverter controlled elevator in apartment Also, to guarantee the operation stop of inverter controlled elevator, this paper proposed the redundancy method of electrical installations. the redundancy method is (i) 2 line service system and (ii) 2 distribution line system.

  • This paper presents a novel current driving method for the synchronous rectifier (SR) in a Flyback topology. The proposed current driven synchronous rectifier features low Power loss, good performance and the gate voltage of FET in the synchronous rectifier is easily controlled by zener voltage. The proposed SR driving method is implemented in a 200W Flyback converter with 400Vdc input and achieved excellent performance at full load.

  • This paper proposes a constant frequency controlled zero voltage switching method that can reduce switching losses caused by emf on inductance in DC motor. The zero voltage switching method is used more than a zero current switching method because of reducing switching losses by capacitance of depletion region of MOSFET. To simplify the controller circuit, we propose constant frequency controlled zero voltage switching method in the paper. The control method is more stable than a variable frequency control method because it can optimize bandwidth of a closed-loop and reactances. Therefore, we construct a constant frequency controlled zero voltage switching converter and improve zero switching losses in high switching frequency. In the process, we can control low-losses in full range on variable voltage and load. We simulate the proposed converter with P-SPICE and compare results obtained through the experiment.

  • In the original incremental generalized predictive control, the receding horizon predictive control is introduced as a control law. But in this paper, we propose a generalized predictive self-tuning control using full-valued incremental controls. The control law is a mean horizon predictive control. The effectiveness of this algorithm in a variable time delay or load disturbances environment is demonstrated by computer simulation. The controlled plant is a nonminimum phase system.

  • This paper presents a new voltage current driven method for the synchronous rectifier (SR) in a flyback topology. The proposed synchronous rectfier of voltage-current driven can operate at wide load range with high efficiency. The gate voltage of FET in the synchronous rectifier is easily controlled by resistor ratio. regardless of line and load fluctuation. The 200W (l2V/17A) prototype is built and achiveved efficiency as high as 90% at 4A, 93.2% at 7A and full load.

  • The load carrying capacity of a bridge needs to be properly assessed to operate the bridge safely and maintain it efficiently. For the evaluation of load carrying capacity considering the current state of a bridge, static and quasi-static loading tests with weight-controlled heavy trucks have been conventionally utilized. In these tests, the deflection (or strain) of the structural members loaded by the controlled vehicles are measured and analyzed. Using the measured data, deflection (or strain) correction factor and impact correction factor are calculated. These correction factors are used in the enhancement of the load carrying capacity of a bridge, reflecting the real state of a bridge. However, full or partial control of the traffic during the tests and difficulties during the installment of displacement transducers or strain gauges may cause not only inconvenience to the traffic but also the increase of the logistics cost and time. To overcome these difficulties, an alternative method is proposed using an excited response part of full measured ambient acceleration data by ordinary traffic on a bridge without traffic control. Based on the modal properties extracted from the ambient vibration data, the initial finite element (FE) model of a bridge can be updated to represent the current real state of a bridge. Using the updated FE model, the deflection of a bridge akin to the real value can be easily obtained without measuring the real deflection. Impact factors are obtained from pseudo-deflection, which is obtained by double-integration of the acceleration data with removal of the linear components on the acceleration data. For validation, a series of tests were carried out on a steel plategirder bridge of an expressway in Korea in four different seasons, and the evaluated load carrying capacities of the bridge by the proposed method are compared with the result obtained by the conventional load test method.

  • In this paper, brushed servo control system for industrial robot is realized under GUI environment. Brushed servo motor has 400W capacities, 1000ppr optic encoder and electric brake load. Especially, driving unit is composed of full-bridge MOSFET semiconductors with 9540 and 540 FET ICs. Control unit has PIC 16C74 microprocessor[l,2,3], RS-232 communication ports, URD current sensor, and GAL 16R8ACN. Servo control system is controlled by PID control method[5,8] with varying control parameters and load capacities. Brushed servo control systems which are proposed in this raper are applied to industrial robot control system.

  • Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is used in spark ignition (SI) engines. Fuel injection rate of an injector is affected by fuel temperature and pressure in LPG liquid injection systems for either a multi-point-injection (MPI) or a direct injection (DI) engine. Even fuel injection conditions are varied, the air-fuel ratio should be accurately controlled to reduce exhaust emissions. In this study, a correction factor fur the fuel injection rate of an injector is derived from density ratio and pressure difference ratio. A compensation method of injected fuel amount is proposed for a fuel injection control system. The experimental results for the LPG liquid injection system in a SI engine show that this system works well fur a full range of engine speed and load condition, and the air-fuel ratio is accurately controlled by the proposed correction factor.

  • To investigate the structural behaviour of grouped tanks under wind loads, 2 problems need to be figured out, wind pressures on tank shells and critical loads of the shell under these pressure distribution patterns. Following the wind tunnel tests described in the companion paper, this paper firstly seeks to obtain wind loads on the external wall in a squarely-arranged cylindrical tank group by numerical simulation, considering various layouts. The outcomes demonstrate that the numerical method can provide similar results on wind pressures and better insights on grouping effects through extracted streamlines. Then, geometrically nonlinear analyses are performed using several selected potentially unfavourable wind pressure distributions. It is found that the critical load is controlled by limit point buckling when the tank is empty while excessive deformations when the tank is full. In particular, significant reductions of wind resistance are found on grouped full tanks compared to the isolated tank, considering both serviceability and ultimate limit state, which should receive special attention if the tank is expected to resist severe wind loads with the increase of liquid level.
