  • By using a recursive algorithm, we construct edge-coloured graphs representing products of spheres and consequently we give upper bounds for the regular genus of ${\mathbb{S}}^{m}\;\times\;{\mathbb{S}}^{n}$, for each m, n > 0.

  • L. H. Encinas, A. J. Menezes, and J. M. Masque in [2] proposed a classification of isomorphism classes of hyperelliptic curve of genus 2 over finite fields with characteristic different from 2 and 5. Y. Choie and D. Yun in [1] obtained for the number of isomorphic classes of hyperelliptic curves of genus 2 over $F_q$ using direct counting method. In this paper we will classify the isomorphism classes of hyperelliptic curves of genus 2 over $F_{2^n}$ for odd n, represented by an equation of the form $y^2+a_5y=x^5+a_8x+a_{10}(a_5{\neq}0)$.

  • We study the three-dimensional genus topology of large-scale structure using the CMASS Data Release 11 sample of the SDSS-III Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS). The CMASS sample yields a genus curve that is characteristic of one produced by Gaussian random-phase initial conditions. The data thus supports the standard model of inflation where random quantum fluctuations in the early universe produced Gaussian random-phase initial conditions. Modest deviations in the observed genus from random phase are as expected from the nonlinear evolution of structure. We construct mock SDSS CMASS surveys along the past light cone from the Horizon Run 3 (HR3) N-body simulations, where gravitationally bound dark matter subhalos are identified as the sites of galaxy formation. We study the genus topology of the HR3 mock surveys with the same geometry and sampling density as the observational sample, and the observed genus topology to be consistent with LCDM as simulated by the HR3 mock samples.

  • The distribution and annual variation of detergent-degrading bacteria which were isolated from the Han River downstream running through the center of Seoul area were studied. The concentration of dissolved detergent was the lowest, 2.16 ppm at site 1 and it was gradually increased to downstream, the highest, 2.67 ppm at site 4. Population density of detergent degrading bacteria was about $10^2{\sim}10^3 cells/ml$. The density of LAS degrading bacteria was 1.1 - 1.8 times larger than that of SDBS-degrading bacteria. In annual variation the lowest density was appeared on January and the highest on July. In seasonal distribution of LAS-degrading bacteria, annual dominant group was genus Pseudomonas. There were few except genus Pseudomonas in winter and the subdomiannt group in spring and summer was genus Aeromonas and Enterobacteriaceae respectively. In autumn genus Pseudomonas, Aeromonas and Enterobacteriaceae were equally distributed. In SDBS-degrading bacteria, the annual dominant group was also genus Pseudomonas.

  • Objective : This study was carried out to clarify the origin of 94 genus for 125 species of herbal woody plants. Methods : The examined herbalogical books and research paper which published at home and abroad. Results : The generic names of 30.85% by ratin ; Ancient Greek and other language, 14.89% by the personal name, 12.77% by the growth characteristics, 8.51% by the shape of fruit and other related shape,, 6.38% by the place names, 5.32% by the colors have been named. Conclusion : According to the investigation which Origin of the Herbal Medicinal woody Plants Genus from Herbalogy textbook, The number of genus names which are originated from ratin ; Ancient Greek and other language by 30.85% was the most of all.

  • The purpose of this study was 1) to investigate the effect of drycleaning on the removal of microorganisms according to on the conditions or the kinds of drycleaning solvent about the Quantity of microorganism which remains in kinds of the drycleaning solvent and the sludge after drycleaning. 2) to investigate the removal effect of :microorganisms in using drycleaning solvent repeatedly 3) to investigate the kinds of microorganism living in textiles. The re, ;ultras of tai, ; study were as follows; 1) less microorganisms remains in perchloroethylen than in petroleum solvent. The most microorganisms was isolated at the beginning stage during the drycleaning. 2) In fresh drycleaning solvents, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATTIC 27853, taphylococcsu atreus ATTIC 6538. and Candida albicans 10529 were killed immediately, while in case of pesters solvents used for 6 month-drycleaning, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa ATTIC 27853 were survived a lot of still in 17 days. 3) On the kind of bacteria in textile goods, Pseudomonas acidovorans and Ewsipelothrix rhusiopathiae are isolated. a genus Rhodetorula is observed through microscope. On the kind of fungi in textile goods, genus Penicillins and genus Apergillus are found through microscope, genus Caddie and genus Trichophyton are found with shapes.

  • In North Korea, the first report of the family Tortricidae, comprising 34 species, was made in 1969. It includes three species of the genus Grapholita (G. inopinata, G. molesta, and G. turionana). Among them, G. turionana is now placed under the genus Blastesthia. In the present study, a total of four species of the genus Grapholita are recognized from North Korea, based on material deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Hungary. Of them, Grapholita molesta (Busck), is reported for the first time from North Korea. In the present study, G. inopinata was not found. All the known species are enumerated with illustrations of adults and genitalia. Also a key for the genus is given.

  • It is shown by the heterogenous nature of Borzi’s description and illustrations that Hormotila mucigena Borzi, the generitype of Hormotila, should be redefined. Borzi’s original description and accompanying illustrations of Hormotila (constituting the protologue) correspond to a minimum of five distinct genera of green algae. Two distinct concepts of the genus have persisted over the years. The genus has become based on a combination of palmelloid and physiologically stressed forms of two of the component algae. Our understanding of the genus is further confused by the incorporation of unrelated unicellular and colonial coccoid forms. There are only one or two distinctive attributes that would allow the selection of any one of the five forms as representing the genus and species. One of Borzi’s original figures is proposed to redefine the original species of the genus, Hormotila mucigena.
