One of the main roles of the science teacher is to help students become active agents in their learning of science. This study described how an elementary science teacher used students' emotional resources to conduct emotionally responsive teaching and what were the learning outcomes of this approach. The participants of the study included the teacher himself and his 6th grade students, and emotionally responsive teaching was applied in the science unit of 'Various Living Things and Our Human Lives'. Multiple types of data, including the teacher's teaching logs, video recordings of the lessons in the unit, and interviews with the students, were collected. The data were analyzed qualitatively, and the results were described using a self-study method. The teacher took advantage of three kinds of students' emotional resources (i.e., character drawing, t-shirt design, and raps) to organize his emotionally responsive teaching. The learning outcome included the students' positive emotions and active participation in science lessons, their epistemic practices such as explorations and justifications of knowledge, and the students' reconstruction of knowledge in consideration of their everyday lives. It was suggested that emotionally responsive teaching can promote elementary school students' active participation in science learning, resulting in meaningful learning outcomes in emotional, cognitive, and conceptual aspects. Further studies should thus be conducted to understand the characteristics of emotionally responsive teaching and its detailed teaching strategies.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of dental students based on their experiences of online classes after taking non-face-to-face education courses for all the school semesters in 2020. For the research method, an online survey was conducted on A survey was conducted on 161 dental students enrolled in A University. The analytical method was conducted through frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The survey analysis findings showed that the satisfaction of dental students' about the non-face-to-face education course was above 4.2, and the detailed items were in the order of the appropriateness of the attendance processing method, satisfaction with recorded video lectures, and the assessment method of the course grade. In the case of the factors that affect the satisfaction of non-face-to-face education courses, the learning system and assessment method were statistically significant. The online class type that is most preferred by the students is recorded video lectures, and the highest number of participants chose 21~30 minutes as the appropriate time for the class content. It is considered that the application of the online system will continue to be used together with face-to-face education courses in the education site and various university-level efforts like systematic support are required to achieve effective learning achievements. This study only investigated the non-face-to-face education operation conditions of A University, so it cannot be generalized to all universities, but it can be used as basic data to provide education curriculum design and supportive measures for the compatibility of face-to-face and non-face-to-face courses.

This study was conducted using non-face-to-face care technology for the elderly with mild dementia and the physically weak living in the community, as various methods of care for the elderly have been raised due to the prolonged COVID-19. The purpose of this study is a similar experimental study before and after the inequality control group to compare cognitive function, daily living activities, and the degree of depression by applying an AI robot integrated management program using. The data was collected from June 4 to September 17, 2021, and the survey results of 17 people in the experimental group and 18 in the control group were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. As a result of the study, the experimental group was significant in language function, activities of daily living, and depression. In particular, the results showed a decrease in moderate to severe depression and mild depression. Cognitive function was significant with long-term care grade and daily living activity with family living together. Therefore, if such non-face-to-face care technology is introduced to the elderly care field in the 'With Corona era', it is thought that it will contribute to cognitive function training and depression reduction of the elderly.

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the overseas volunteer activities of university students on changes in global citizenship. Methods : This study was conducted as a one-group pre-posttest design. The study's subjects were students who participated in the 37th World Friends Korea Youth Volunteer Corps in 2018. Among them, 158 students who completed the survey were included in the analysis. The tool for measuring global citizenship was comprised of knowledge, skill, attitude, and willingness to practice. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 26.0 program, and the statistical significance was set to p<.05. Results : Among the study's participants, there were 123 females (77.85 %). By grade, there were the most juniors, with 68 (43.04 %). There were 53 (33.55 %) seniors, 28 (18.35 %) sophomores, and eight freshmen (5.06 %). Among all participants, 52.53 % had experience in global citizenship education, and 63.92 % had experience in activities related to global citizenship. Because of analyzing the changes in global citizenship before and after overseas volunteer activities, "skill" increased the most, from 3.51±.65 points to 4.34±.56 points (p< .001). Due to analyzing changes in global citizenship before and after overseas volunteerism, the knowledge and attitude of freshmen were statistically significantly positive, with 1.17± 1.23 (p=.011) and 1.41±1.22 (p=.008), respectively. Participants with global citizenship experience had a significant change in attitude (p=.018). Conclusion : It was confirmed that the overseas volunteer activities of undergraduate students in the university brought a positive change to global citizenship. Providing opportunities for global citizenship education and activities in elementary, middle, and high schools in the future will maximize the effects of overseas volunteer activities to improve global citizenship.
This study aims to observe the swelling representative rocks in Korea and to suggest improvements in the use of test methods and prior analysis in relation to the weathering of rocks. The swelling test and analysis were performed on the drilling cores obtained for the ground investigation at the domestic highway construction site. For the method of determining the absorption expansion index of rocks, the method proposed in "Standard Methods for Sample Collection and Specimen Preparation" of ISRM and Korean Rock Engineers Standard Rock Test Method was used. The specimen for the measurement of the expansion displacement was cylindrical with a height of 10 cm and a diameter of 5 cm. The existing swelling analysis method evaluates the sensitivity to weathering by using the maximum expansion displacement, but since the classification by bedrock grade is unclear, it is reasonable to use the rate of change of the expansion displacement according to the immersion time. It is necessary to conduct an experiment to distinguish between weathering and fault deterioration. In addition, long-term weathering prediction technology for each cancer type is needed through the expansion displacement analysis of the chemical weathering stage.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the mediating effect of grit on the relationship between leisure sport participation and academic efficacy/peer relationship of senior elementary school students. For this purpose, we analyzed the data of 2,437 fourth-grade elementary school students derived from the 2nd years of the Korean Children and Panel Survey(KCYPS, 2018). Structural Equation Modelling(SEM) were conducted through PASW Statistics 18 and AMOS Graphics 18 programs. The main results were as follows. First, grit fully mediated the association between leisure sport participation and academic efficacy. Second, the relationship between leisure sport participation and peer relationship was partially mediated by grit. The conclusion we could draw from these results was that participating in leisure sport with sweating intensity had a positive effect on the grit of senior elementary school students, which in turn had a positive effect on academic efficacy and peer relationship. Finally, we discussed the implications of leisure sport participation for senior elementary school students.
This qualitative study analyzed various environmental factors and difficulties faced by school foodservices during the COVID-19 pandemic. Focus group interviews were conducted by enrolling 12 nutrition teachers and nutritionists. Data collected were subsequently analyzed for changes implemented during the pandemic, in hygiene management, diet management, and distribution management of the school meal. The content and method of delivery of information related to diet guidance and school foodservice by related organizations were also examined. Results of the survey show that personal hygiene (such as maintaining student-to-student distance, checking students for a fever, and hand disinfection) was duly applied, installation of table coverings and distancing between school cafeteria seats were conducted, and mandatory mask-wearing to prevent droplet transmission was enforced. Depending on the COVID-19 situation, the number of students having school meals was limited per grade, and time-spaced meals were provided. To prevent infection, menus that required frequent hand contact were excluded from the meal plan. Overall, it was difficult to manage the meal plan due to frequent changes in tasks, such as the number of orders and meal expenses. These changes were communicated by nutrition teachers and nutritionists wherein the numbers of school meals were adjusted, depending on situations arising from each COVID-19 crisis stage. Furthermore, in some schools, either face-to-face nutrition counseling was stopped entirely, or nutrition education was conducted online. Parent participation was disallowed in the monitoring of school meals, and the prohibition on conversations inside the school cafeteria resulted in the absence of communication among students, nutrition teachers, and nutritionists. Additionally, confusion in meal management was caused by frequent changes in the school meal management guidelines provided by the Office of Education and the School Health Promotion Center in response to COVID-19. In anticipation of the emergence of a new virus or infectious diseases caused by mutations in the years to come, it is suggested that a holistic, well-thought-out response manual for safe meal operation needs to be established, in close collaboration with schools and school foodservice-related institutions.

Medical device usability evaluation refers to the evaluation of medical devices through actual users before the final prototype production is completed. IEC 62366, one of the international safety standards for electronic medical devices, is a standard that must be applied to obtain medical device licenses in major advanced countries such as Europe and the United States. In Korea, through the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety's notice, from January 2021, sequential application by grade has been implemented. In this study, 15 participant specialists were recruited through the Incheon G University Hospital Medical Device Convergence Center for formative evaluation during user suitability evaluation of the focused ultrasound stimulation system being developed by Icleo Co., Ltd., and the test was conducted through joint scenario development. . In the result of task performance, the performance rate was 90.67%, and after the completion of the performance, 86.67% of 'Easy user interface' and 94% of 'Identification/Readability/Understanding of information' questions in the participant survey results analysis by question. The response rate was above average.

The purpose of this study was to conduct a subjective and objective evaluation to verify the improvements in acne skin conditions followed by the use of foam cleanser, skin toner, and a facial pack that contains bamboo vinegar. The research targets are 20 male and female high school students in Gwangju and Jeolla regions with acne skin of grade II and above based on the Korean Acne Grading System (KAGS). For the experiment, the subjects were classified between an experimental group with 10 subjects who used bamboo vinegar foam cleanser, skin toner, and facial pack and a control group with 10 subjects who used foam cleanser, skin toner, and facial pack without bamboo vinegar, and the subjects had to use the foam cleanser, skin toner, and facial pack for 12 weeks. In the case of skin improvement effects founded upon the objective measurement values, the experimental group showed a greater improvement for reducing the pores in the forehead, nose ridge, and left cheek (p<.001) compared to the control group, and the experiment group had higher satisfaction overall even for the skin improvement effects based on the subjective evaluation tool (p<.05, p<.001). The overall values of the satisfaction of the cosmetics showed that the experiment group had higher values (p<.01, p<.001) compared to the control group for the foam cleanser, skin toner, and facial pack, and there were statistically significant differences for usability in details (p<.01, p<.001). In conclusion, it was proven that bamboo vinegar is an effective natural cosmetic product material to improve acne skin conditions.
The zircon U-Pb and trace element analyses were performed for banded gneiss in the Euiam gneiss complex, central Gyeonggi Massif. An age of detrital zircon shows predominant age peaks at ca. 2500-2480 Ma with numerous ages ranging from Siderian to Rhyacian period. The youngest age peak of detrital zircon constrains the maximum deposition age of protolith of banded gneiss at ca. 2070 Ma. Meanwhile, the zircon rim yielded metamorphic age of ca. 1966 ± 39 Ma ~ 1918 ± 13 Ma. Based on the error range, degree of discordancy, and value of mean squared weighted deviation, we considered that the age of 1918 ± 13 Ma is the most reasonable age indicating the timing of metamorphism for banded gneiss. The zircon rims yield Ti-in-zircon crystallization temperature of 690-740℃. Therefore, we suggested that there was a high-grade metamorphic event in the Gyeonggi Massif at ca. 1918 Ma which is older than the metamorphic event that occurred in the Gyeonggi Massif during ca. 1880-1860 Ma.
