This paper describes formulation for algorithm of time historical response analysis of vibration for straight-line structure. This method is derived from a combination of the transfer stiffness coefficient method and the Newmark method. And this present method improves the computational accuracy of the transient vibration response analysis remarkably owing to several advantages of the transfer stiffness coefficient method. We regarded the structure as a lumped mass system here. The analysis algorithm for the time historical response was formulated for the straight-line structure containing crooked, tree type system. The validity of the present method compared with the transfer matrix method and the Finite Element Method for transient vibration analysis is demonstrated through the numerical computations.

This paper suggests a new analysis algorithm for the time historical response of three dimensional rectilinear structure which is frequently found in a pipe line system of plant by the combination of the transfer stiffness coefficient method(TSCM) and the Newmark method. The present analysis algorithm for a time historical response can improve the computational accuracy and time remarkably owing to advantages of the TSCM in comparison with transfer matrix method(TMM). The structural system is modeled as a lumped mass system in this method. The analysis algorithm was formulated far the three dimensional rectilinear structure. We confirmed the validity of the present algorithm by comparing the numerical computation results of TSCM with those of TMM.

This study examines how the development and value of dresses shown in MBC historical dramas have changed with the overall change of the dramas. As for the research method, the second data analysis was done with literature study which was supplemented with interviews with the wardrobe team of MBC production design center. Historical dramas produced by MBC have gone through the developmental period, legitimate historical drama-oriented period, stagnant period, and historical dramas-modernized period. The value of costume in each period is as follows: Costume in the developmental period is considered only as part of drama setting. During legitimate historical drama-oriented period, it carries value as educational data and historical replica produced by historical research. Production design including costume obtains its own value in the stagnant period although the production of historical dramas decreases dramatically. And lastly, in the historical dramas-modernized period, costume starts to have commercial value as cultural contents. Historical drama costume may contain important value in terms of education and history, even though there has been controversy on TV historical dramas' role: they should focus on reproducing historical facts or they should support writers' creativity.

The fuzzy time series is introduced by Song and Chissom([8]) to construct a pattern for time series with vague or linguistic value. Many methods using the interval and fuzzy logical relationship related with historical data have been suggested to enhance the forecasting accuracy. But they do not fully reflect the fluctuation of historical data. Therefore, we propose the interval rearranged method to reflect the fluctuation of historical data and to improve the forecasting accuracy of fuzzy time series. Using the well-known enrollment, the proposed method is discussed and the forecasting accuracy is evaluated. Empirical studies show that the proposed method in forecasting accuracy is superior to existing methods and it fully reflects the fluctuation of historical data.

How can the history of medicine be used to cultivate medical professionalism? This study presents education using the lives of historical figures as a method based on the teaching experience of the course "Leadership of the Healers" for first-year students at the College of Medicine of the Catholic University of Korea. Existing methods, represented by the Osler method, have several limitations: first, they limit the subject of the history of medicine to certain established doctors; second, they describe medical history as a continuum of progress; and third, they present abstract virtues without context, making it difficult to apply what has been learned to specific situations. These limitations are why the lives of historical figures have not been used actively in medical education in recent years. However, education using the lives of historical figures also has clear advantages, such as the power to vividly convey the various elements of medical professionalism. This study proposes an alternative method. The characteristics of the new method can be summarized in two ways. First, it emphasizes the specific context surrounding historical figures and the choices made in specific historical circumstances, rather than presenting abstract virtues outside of the historical context, making students ponder the reality they face and the choices they make. Second, it reveals both the hidden actors and the bright and dark areas of history by selecting diverse multi-dimensional figures.

This paper suggests a revision method for historical fault data using Proportional Aging Reduction(PAR) to consider maintenance effect in time-varying failure rate. In order to product time-varying failure rate, the historical fault data are necessary. However, the maintenance record could be left out in historical data by spot operator's mistake. In this case, the failure rate is produced less than the average failure rate for increasing equipments' life-time by maintenance effect. Hence, it is necessary for new time-varying failure rate to extract maintenance effect from the existing fault data. In this paper, the revision method to reduce equipments' life-time, adversely using PAR among three techniques to consider maintenance effect.

Three historical earthquake catalogues were compared with each other in the view of frequency of events per century, cumulative magnitude distribution, and annual earthquake occurrence rate in each unit grid of 0.1°by 0.1°. And, a method to determine earthquake epicenters and magnitudes was proposed given the historical earthquake data. With this method, the epicenters and magnitudes of future earthquakes in Korean penninsula for 1,000 years were generated with each earthquake catalogue. Earthquake PGAs with 10% exceedance probability in Seoul were calculated for each catalogue and compared.

The historical film is complex genre that give various messages of directors besides a historical fact. Shin Sangok and Lee Joonik are important historical film directors. Their films show director's style by various method of historical reproduction. Sin Sangok and Lee Joonik portrayed same person Yeonsan, in and . They described identical person and historical fact in a different way. This is due to director's view of history, time of reinterpretation of history, and so forth. Therefore this paper is going to analysis the method of representation on history.

The purpose of this study is to suggest problems and improving plan of process of calculating escalation rate of the Historical Cost by price fluctuation. In order to implement this research, we analyzed problems by calculating the rate of price fluctuation with Historical Cost and measurement applying method making on-site with historical cost data were included as samples and suggested improving plan to the adjustment of contract cost. The results of research according to this are same as followings:1) Of all construction details, it is more appropriate to calculate price fluctuation by applying measurement method to the contents of historical cost unit. 2) To avoid confusion in calculating method, it was indicated that amendment in part should be achieved in order to calculate by measuring the part of calculating escalation rate of Historical Cost at related law and regulation.
