The purpose of this study was to analyze kinematic variables in the badminton smash motion through 3-dimensional image analysis. The kinematic variables were velocity of joints in upper limbs, the angle of wrist in the impact, and the angular velocity of the top of racket head. The smash motions of four male badminton players in H University and four male students at department of the physical education in K University who were not majoring in badminton were analyzed kinematically and the attained conclusions were as follow. 1. The velocity of segments in upper limbs of the unskilled group was faster than that of the skilled group. The movement pattern was fast back swing-slow impact moment-fast fellow through in the unskilled group, but slow back swing-fast impact moment-slow follow through in the sullied group. 2. As the BS phases, the velocity of segment in right shoulder was different significantly between groups. Right elbow and right wrist segments, velocity of racket head was different significantly between groups(p<.05) by IP phases. As the FT phases, there was no significant difference. 3. The angle of right wrist at the impact, the angle of palm flexion and the angle of palm flexion in aspect were shown that the skilled group was higher than unskilled group. There was no significant difference. 4. The velocity of racket head was shown that the unskilled group has fast velocity, but the angle velocity was shown the unskilled group has slow. 5. The angle velocity of racket head in aspect were no significant difference between groups, but maximal angle velocity was different significantly between groups(p<.05).
The purpose of this study was to analyze the kinematic characteristics of Ice hockey slap shot. The subjects of this study were four professional ice hockey players. The reflective markers were attached on the anatomical boundary line of body and the subjects were asked to perform the shot. Ariel Performance Analysis System was used to capture and digitize the shooting image, the data were analyzed by LabView 6i. The results were as fellows. 1. The period of the back swing phase was $0.542{\pm}0.062sec$, the down swing phase was $0.28{\pm}0.056sec$ and the total swing time was $0.825{\pm}0.017sec$ 2. The maximum linear velocity of the stick blade for x direction was shown after 7% of impact, for y, z direction were shown before 2%, 8% of Impact. 3. The maximum velocity of each segment for the left arm was $2.35{\pm}0.05m/s$ in the upper arm, $3.56{\pm}0.34m/s$ in the forearm, $4.75{\pm}0.67m/s$ in the hand. 4. The maximum velocity of each segment for the right arm was $4.67{\pm}0.43m/s$ in the upper arm, $7.22{\pm}0.69m/s$ in the forearm, $9.42{\pm}0.89m/s$ in the hand. 5. The angle of left elbow was generally flexed from the ready stance to the impact and was $82.26{\pm}3.45^{\circ}$ the moment of Impact. 6. The angle of the left shoulder was increased ut the down swing phase and was $78.74{\pm}4.78^{\circ}$ on the moment of impact. 7. The angle of the right shoulder was decreased in the down swing phase and increased before the impact. and the angle was $51.28{\pm}3.54^{\circ}$ on the moment of impact.
The objective of this study was to analyze the difference in kinematic variables for successful and unsuccessful golf putting strokes. The study population included 8 male secondary school golf players who had played golf for over 3 years and whose handicap was 4 or lower. A hole was made on a 5-m-long artificial flat mat for practice, and an environment similar to that of a real green was created. The participants' motions were analyzed through 3D image analysis, and the difference in kinematic variables for successful and unsuccessful putting strokes in the same direction was determined. Data analysis revealed the following findings: The time spent for a segment of putting was the greatest for the backswing segment for both successful and unsuccessful strokes. During address and impact, the both changed to a larger extent. For successful putting strokes, the change in the elbow angle during the downswing was greater for the right elbow than for the left elbow. For both successful and unsuccessful putting strokes, the left shoulder angle increased during the segment from address to the turning point and decreased during the segment from the turning point to impact. In contrast, the right shoulder angle significantly differed between successful and unsuccessful putting strokes only during address. During successful and unsuccessful motions, the swing was executed with the moving displacement of the X-axis of the club head maintained almost constant along a straight light without back and forth movement. In the backswing segment, moving displacement of the Y- and Z-axes was greater in successful strokes than in unsuccessful strokes; however, this difference was very small for the Y-axis. The velocity of the club head for successful and unsuccessful motions significantly differed during address and at the turning point. The highest velocity of the ball was greater for successful than for unsuccessful putting strokes.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of health education based on life skill training (LST) on middle school students' health knowledge, attitude, and behavior. Methods: For this study, 961 middle school students, residing in Seoul, Korea, were selected. The students received health education one day a week for 7 weeks from September 1, 2014 to October 25, 2014. The effect of pH on degradation of paper by some fungi, which able to degrade cellulose, was investigated. Trichoderma koningii, Aspergillus nigerand Penicillium nigulosum were cultured at $28^{\circ}C$ for 16 days in the selective medium (PH3, PH4, PH5, PH6, PH7, PH8, PH9, PH10, PHC) containing paper as substrate. Each paper was pretreated with each pH buffer (pH 3∼pH 10, D.W.)prior to addition to the selective medium. Enzyme activities in the each culture medium were measured spectroph to metrically using C.M.C., Avicel, PNPG as the substrates for endoglucanase, exoglucanase and $\beta$-glucosidase, respectively. In all experimental fungi, the enzyme activities of PH3 and PH9 medium were usually much higher than those of other experimental groups. However in the PH6medium, enzyme activity was lower than other groups. To analyze the concentration and pattern of protein in the each culture medium, the medium was concentrated by lyophilization. The protein concentration of PH3 and PH9 medium were relatively high (T.koningii; 6.31mg, 6,19mg, A.niger; 1.62mg, 1.96mg, P.nigulosum;2.50mg, 2.73mg, respectively), but that of PH6 was relatively low. The protein pattern of each medium was analyzed by using SDS-PAGE and VDS Image Master Analysis Program. The concentrations of bands in the each lane were usually high at lane2 (PH3) and lane8 (PH9) and low at lane5 (PH6). Therefore, the incresed cellulolytic activity of fungus against acidified paper could be result of structural change and deterioration of paper caused by being acidified.

We report the template-based synthesis of well-dispersed CdS nanoparticles (NPs) in the interior of poly (2-acetamidoacrylic acid) (PAAA) hydrogel as a novel type of nanocomposite without particle aggregation via ion exchange in a aqueous system. As revealed by the TEM image analysis, the mean crystallite diameter of CdS NPs embedded in hydrogel composite was 4.5 nm, and the composite did not suffer any observable change after 6 months. Desorption/decomposition of CdS/PAAA hydrogel composite was studied by evolved gas analysis-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (EGA-GC-MS), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) methods. From the TGA data, the thermal stability of the composite system increased by ca. 100 $^\circ$C and the content of CdS NPs in a dry composite gel was over 70 wt%. In addition, the chemical pathway was proposed for the entire decomposition process.
The design of a flat-field XUV spectrograph is optimized for a high throughput, aberration-corrected spectral image in the wavelength region of 50-300 $\AA$ The varied-line spacing (VLS) concave grating theory for an XUV spectrograph with a toroidal mirror in front of an entrance slit is derived. Since the derived theory includes the arbitrary shaped source, it is able to correct the limit of the simple optimization theory which considers only a point source at the center of the entrance slit. The reflection matrix at the toroidal mirror and the diffraction matrix at VLS grating are derived and compared with those of a holographic grating. The absolute energy efficiency of a flat-field spectrograph is calculated by considering the reflectivities of the toroidal mirror and the Au coated concave grating and the grating efficiency. The alignment sensitivity of the toroidal mirror and the concave grating is investigated, and the method to achieve the best imaging of XUV spectrum is discussed. The calculated resolving power of the flat-field XUV spectrograph is more than 4000 in the aberration-corrected wavelength range. The focused spot size at the dispersion plane is less than $20\mu \textrm m\times \mu \textrm m$at the wavelength 100$\AA$ It is shown that a high throughput characteristic can also be achieved through a careful adjustment of alignment parameters.

To investigate the optimal detector material for prompt gamma imaging during boron neutron capture therapy, in this study, we evaluated the characteristic regarding radiation reaction of available detector materials using a Monte Carlo simulation. Sixteen detector materials used for radiation detection were investigated to assess their advantages and drawbacks. The estimations used previous experimental data to build the simulation codes. The energy resolution and detection efficiency of each material was investigated, and prompt gamma images during BNCT simulation were acquired using only the detectors that showed good performance in our preliminary data. From the simulation, we could evaluate the majority of detector materials in BNCT and also could acquire a prompt gamma image using the six high ranked-detector materials and lutetium yttrium oxyorthosilicate. We provide a strategy to select an optimal detector material for the prompt gamma imaging during BNCT with three conclusions.
Purpose: Ganglioneuromas are well-differentiated tumors derived from neuroectodermal neural crest cells. Although these tumors can occur anywhere along the sympathetic chain from the base of the skull to the pelvic cavity, they usually develop in the posterior mediastinum and retroperitoneum these tumors are rarely found in the cervical region. Method: We report the case of a 16-year-old male patient with neurofibromatosis type 1 who was admitted because of a palpable mass centrally located on the left side of the neck. A preoperative contrast-enhanced neck computed tomography image showed a low-density homogeneous mass on the parapharyngeal space along with marked displacement of the trachea and carotid vessels. Round and soft masses were also detected on both axillae. Results: The patient subsequently underwent complete excision of the neck mass via the transcervical approach. The mass was smooth and well encapsulated between the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the trachea. Further, the mass appeared to arise from the cervical sympathetic chain, which was preserved during surgery. Both the axillary masses were also excised. The histopathological findings were ganglioneuroma for the neck mass and neurofibroma for both the axillary masses. Conclusion: Cervical ganglioneuromas are rare tumors that present as enlarging parapharyngeal cervical masses in the oropharynx or neck. To our knowledge, a case of cervical ganglioneuroma associated with neurofibromatosis type 1 has never been reported. In patients with neurofibromatosis, multiple tumors may develop, and therefore periodic clinical and radiological follow-up is recommended. Further, repeated imaging analysis should be performed if the presence of another tumor is suspected.
