  • In this paper we provide a brief introduction to the continuity of approximate point spectrum on the algebra B(X), using basic properties of Fredholm operators and the SVEP condition. Also, we give an example showing that in general it not holds that if the spectrum is continuous an operator T, then for each ${\lambda}{\in}{\sigma}_{s-F}(T){\setminus}\overline{{\rho}^{\pm}_{s-F}(T)}$ and ${\in}$ > 0, the ball $B({\lambda},{\in})$ contains a component of ${\sigma}_{s-F}(T)$, contrary to what has been announced in [J. B. Conway and B. B. Morrel, Operators that are points of spectral continuity II, Integral Equations Operator Theory 4 (1981), 459-503] page 462.

  • We consider a class of hypoelliptic operators of the following type $$L=\sum_{i,j=1}^{p_0}a_{ij}{\partial}^2_{x_ix_j}+\sum_{i,j=1}^{N}b_{ij}x_i{\partial}_{x_j}-{\partial}_t$$, where ($a_{ij}$), ($b_{ij}$) are constant matrices and ($a_{ij}$) is symmetric positive definite on $\mathbb{R}^{p_0}$ ($p_0{\leqslant}N$). By establishing global Morrey estimates of singular integral on the homogenous space and the relation between Morrey space and weak Morrey space, we obtain the global weak Morrey estimates of the operator L on the whole space $\mathbb{R}^{N+1}$.

  • The enormous success of the theory of hypergeometric series in a single variable has stimulated the development of a corresponding theory in two and more variables. A wide variety of investigations in the theory of several variable hypergeometric functions have been essentially motivated by the fact that solutions of many applied problems involving partial differential equations are obtainable with the help of such hypergeometric functions. Here, in this trend, we aim at presenting further decomposition formulas for Saran function $F_E$, which are used to give some integral representations of the function $F_E$. We also present a system of partial differential equations for the Saran function $F_E$.

  • A preconditioning algorithm is developed in this paper for the iterative solution of the linear system of equations resulting from the p-version boundary element approximation of the three dimensional integral equation with hypersingular operators. The preconditioner is derived by first making the nodal and side basis functions locally orthogonal to the element internal bases, and then by decoupling the nodal and side bases from the internal bases. Its implementation consists of solving a global problem on the wire-basket and a series of local problems defined on a single element. Moreover, the condition number of the preconditioned system is shown to be of order $O((1+ln/p)^{7})$. This technique can be applied to discretization with triangular elements and with general basis functions.

  • Let $H(U)$ be the space of all analytic functions in the unit disk $U$ and let $K \subset H(U)$. For the operator $A_{\beta,\gamma} : K \longrightarrow H(U)$ defined by $$ A_{\beta,\gamma}(f)(z) = [\frac{z^\gamma}{\beta + \gamma} \int_{0}^{z} f^\beta (t)t^{\gamma-1} dt]^{1/\beta} $$ and $\beta,\gamma \in C$, we determined conditions on g(z), $\beta and \gamma$ such that $$ z[\frac{z}{f(z)]^\beta \prec z[\frac{z}{g(z)]^\beta implies z[\frac{z}{A_{\beta,\gamma}(f)(z)]^\beta \prec z[\frac{z}{A_{\beta,\gamma}(g)(z)]^\beta $$ and we presented some particular cases of our main result.

  • Object-oriented analysis-synthesis coding subdivides each image of a sequence into moving objects and compensates the motion of each object. Thus it can reconstruct real motion better than conventional motion-compensated coding techniques at very-low-bit-rates. It uses a mapping parameter technique for estimating motion information of each object. Since a mapping parameter technique uses gradient operators it is sensitive to redundant details and noise. To accurately determine mapping parameters, we propose a new analysis method using integral projections for estimation of gradient values. Also to reconstruct correctly the local motion the proposed algorithm divides an image into segmented objects each of which having uniform motion information while the conventional one assumes a large object having the same motion information. Computer simulation results with several test sequences show that the proposed image analysis method in object-oriented analysis-synthesis coding shows better performance than the conventional one.

  • The aim of this paper is to evaluate four finite integrals involving the product of Srivastava's polynomials, a generalized hypergeometric function and $\bar{H}$-function proposed by Inayat Hussian which contains a certain class of Feynman integrals. At the end, we give an application of our main findings by connecting them with the Riemann-Liouville type of fractional integral operator. The results obtained by us are basic in nature and are likely to find useful applications in several fields notably electric networks, probability theory and statistical mechanics.

  • Here, in this paper, we aim at establishing some new unified integral and differential formulas associated with the $\bar{H}$-function. Each of these formula involves a product of the $\bar{H}$-function and Srivastava polynomials with essentially arbitrary coefficients and the results are obtained in terms of two variables $\bar{H}$-function. By assigning suitably special values to these coefficients, the main results can be reduced to the corresponding integral formulas involving the classical orthogonal polynomials including, for example, Hermite, Jacobi, Legendre and Laguerre polynomials. Furthermore, the $\bar{H}$-function occurring in each of main results can be reduced, under various special cases.

  • Several families of infinite series were summed recently by means of certain operators of fractional calculus(that is, calculus of derivatives and integrals of any real or complex order). In the present sequel to this recent work, it is shown that much more general classes of infinite sums can be evaluated without using fractional calculus. Some other related results are also considered.

  • We construct bounded linear integral operators that giving solutions to the ${\bar{\partial}}$-equation in $L^p$-spaces and with compact supports on a q-convex intersection ($q{\geq}1$) with ${\mathcal{C}}^3$ boundary in $K{\ddot{a}}hler$ manifolds, and we apply it to obtain a Hartogs-like extension theorems for ${\bar{\partial}}$-closed forms for some bidegree.
