This study investigates the factors affecting behavioral intention of professors and students at universities to use academic libraries in a hybrid library environment where a traditional physical library is combined with a digital library that is centered on online information use. The structural relationships among factors were also analyzed in this study by utilizing a combined behavioural model which was based on TPB and TAM. This study identified users' intention to use academic libraries according to changes in the use environment, and the findings of this study bring a valuable meaning to library administrators for setting up the strategic plan for the future of academic libraries. The results of this study imply that academic libraries should strategically setup an effective and efficient operating plan based on awareness, attention and cooperation, in order to survive as well as to accomplish balanced growth in rapidly changing environment.

The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the impact of library service quality on the continuous use of libraries by international students and to verify that library anxiety plays a mediator role between the two variables - 'library service quality' and 'continuous use intention'. To conduct this study, library service quality, continuous use intention, and library anxiety of 213 Chinese international students was measured and the hypothesis through structural equation modeling was verified. The result of the study suggests that library service quality has an impact on continuous use intention and that library anxiety mediates the two variables. Based on the research result, the development of library service for international students was discussed.

The objective of this study is to investigate college student search behavior in an academic library. The theory of planned behavior was applied for identifying relationship among variables on search behavior. Data were collected in an university. For data analysis, ANOVA, factor analysis, regression analysis, cluster analysis were used. The result shows: the theory of planned behavior can be used for finding search intention in an academic library. Student major and library use frequency are different statistically in attitudes, perceived behavioral control, behavioral intention. Student characteristics are divided into four types: conservative, independent, friendship, fashion. Friendship type of students influences search behavior. From cluster analysis, the cluster included friendship and independent types of students and students who have high frequency of library use has more active intention for search in academic library.

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence users' intention to use mobile services in academic libraries, based on the Davis' Technology Acceptance Model. This study employed both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, which were core variables in TAM, and added perceived playfulness that was recently applied to many researches on mobile system acceptance intention. As external variables, ubiquitous ability, context awareness, and mobile internet self-efficacy were employed. The data was collected from 325 surveys from two academic libraries and was analyzed with SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 21.0. As a result, perceived usefulness was the most significant factor in predicting users' acceptance intention and perceived ease of use was an indirect determinant of service usage. But perceived playfulness was not significantly correlated. Ubiquitous ability among external variables had a significant effect on perceived usefulness, context awareness did on both perceived playfulness and ease of use, and mobile internet self-efficacy did on perceived ease of use. Based on the findings, this study discussed theoretical and practical implications in academic library mobile service area.

This study aims to grasp what factors affect users' recognition level and expectation level for library service, being offered at the library of Korea National Open University. Also, this study seeks to conduct a survey and analyze whether users' recognition level by library service dimensions has actually influenced the intention and the satisfaction with using the library. For this, it carried out the theoretical approach, which considers domestic and foreign documents on evaluation of quality of library service, and the empirical approach of questionnaire research and analysis. A research model was designed on the basis of LibQUAL+model to achieve the objective of this research. And the group-based difference was confirmed by carrying out verification on research hypothesis. As a result of analysis, the users' current recognition level by library service dimensions of Korea National Open University was indicated to have influence on the whole satisfaction with library and the continuous use intention. The whole satisfaction was indicated to have an effect on continuous use intention. Also, to enhance users' satisfaction level according to the behavioral characteristics of using library, the core elements for improving the library service of Korea National Open University were cited and these include improving the facility of library, implementing smart digital library system for offering remotely academic information, and securing diversity and currency of academic information sources such as printing materials and electronic materials.
