The Influence of Consumer's Relationship Benefit Perception on the Relationship output in Internet Shopping Mall (인터넷 쇼핑몰 소비자의 관계혜택 지각이 관계의 질과 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of consumer's relationship benefit perception on consumer's relationship quality and loyalty in internet shopping mall. The survey was limited to the respondents over 20 years old living in Seoul and other metropolitan areas who had purchased fashion products in internet shopping mall. Questionnaire was collected from November 1, 2011 to November 12, 2011. The structural equation model was constructed to verify hypotheses and 562 useful data were analyzed using SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 19. The results of this study were as follows: First, consumer's relationship benefit perception was classified into economic benefit, psychological benefit, and informational benefit. Second, economic benefit and psychological benefit had a significantly positive effect on consumer's satisfaction and trust. Also both benefit dimensions showed a stronger effect on satisfaction than on trust. Third, informational benefit showed a significantly positive effect only on trust. Finally, consumer's satisfaction affected loyalty via trust more strongly than consumer's satisfaction affected loyalty directly. It suggested that internet shopping mall marketers need to provide the strategic method to make consumers have a trust for the internet shopping mall.

The Effects of Internet Shopping Mall Attributes and Regret on the Complaining Behavior and Repurchase Intentions (인터넷 쇼핑몰 속성 지각과 후회가 불평 행동과 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study focused on examining methods for the favorable relationship between internet shopping mall and customers from a point of view that it was necessary for internet fashion market getting faced with keen competition to change its marketing focus from securing new customers to customer retention strategies. Measurement instruments were selected to measure these variables and a questionnaire was made. Data was collected in 491 men and women in their twenties residing in Gwangju city using the questionnaire. The analysis results were summarized as follows: First, in the failure to purchase fashion products in internet shopping mall, as consumer's favorable internet shopping attributes, their possibility of complaining and repurchase intentions became higher, and had negative effect on regret and dissatisfaction. Second, attributions of the result of a failure to purchase fashion products in internet shopping mall were found to increase regret and dissatisfaction. Third, customers experiencing regret and dissatisfaction showed a very high possibility of complaining but their possibility of repurchase intentions had negative affect.

An Empirical Study on the Determinants of Trust in Internet Shopping Mall : The Comparison of Korean and Chinese Users (인터넷 쇼핑몰의 신뢰 결정요인에 관한 실증연구 : 한.중국 이용자 비교 분석)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate what factors influence a major role in building trust on Internet shopping mall and to examine whether these factors on trust have differences between Korean and Chinese users. Based on relevant literature review, this study posits six factors of transaction security, perceived reputation, Perceived size, interactivity, propensity of trust, and familiarity as key determinants of trust in internet shopping mall. Analysis of 470 responses(Korean: 320 users, Chinese: 150 users) of survey questionnaire indicates the following; First, in terms of the relationship between influencing factors and the trust, five factors of transaction security, perceived reputation, perceived size, interactivity, and propensity to trust have a significant positive effects on the trust. Second, the differences between Korean and Chinese users are transaction security, perceived size, and familiarity. In conclusions, we suggested the factors to create user trust in internet shopping mall. Also we suggested differences in the determinant factors between Korean and Chinese users, and discussed some policies to build the trust in each user types.

The Relationship between Consumers' Life Style and Purchasing Frequency among the Purchasing Behaviors in Internet Shopping Mall (소비자의 라이프스타일과 인터넷 쇼핑몰에서의 상품별 구매횟수 관게 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the relationship between life style that a consumer is pursuing and purchasing frequency among the purchasing behaviors in internet shopping mall. As a result, the factors of life style with respect to purchasing attitude of the consumer were categorized into 'price advising type', 'price-quality identifying recognition type', 'brand-oriented type', 'shopping time-effort non-investment type', and 'price-quality comparing type'. It showed that there was a close relationship between the life style and the purchasing frequency in internet shopping mall and that there was a significant influence between the life style and the purchasing frequency. The result of this study indicated that the relationship between the life style and purchasing frequency in internet shopping mall was actualized by measuring the purchasing inclination of the consumer under various situations of psychologically descriptive characteristics and desire and simulation. Therefore, this fact suggests that it is very important to measure the accurate purchasing attitude of its consumer when setting up the marketing strategy of internet shopping mall.

Effects of the Flow of an Internet Shopping Mall upon Revisit Intention and Purchase Intention

  • Purpose - The study aims to investigate empirically the effects of the flow of an Internet shopping mall upon consumers' revisit intention and purchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology - The subjects comprised customers of Internet shopping malls. SPSS 19.0 for Windows was used to verify the models and hypotheses. Frequency, factors, reliability, and regression analysis were used. Results - This study classified flow behavior factors of Internet shopping malls into four categories-skills, convenience, design, and mutual reaction-to investigate their influence on flow. Skills and convenience had a greater influence than mutual reaction and design. The flow was most influenced by convenience, followed by skills. Conclusions - First, the subjects comprised those who had made purchases at least once at an Internet shopping mall. Second, the study applied the common flow attributes of past researchers to the Internet shopping mall environment, to gauge customers' e-commerce involvement. Third, skill, convenience, and shopping mall display design affirmatively influenced the computer-mediated environment from the Internet marketing control implications perspective regarding the contents of the marketer's website.

  • This study examined the effects of demographic variables on buying behavior, and investigated buyers'perceived value and risk perception of the internet shopping mall. The sample was collected by a department store in Daegu, and it included 1,732 individuals using the Cyber Mall. Research methods used in this study were simple statistics, t-test and ANOVA. The buyers perceived values through the internet shopping mall were classified into five categories-price, time, convenience, intrinsic attributes, reliability and the risk perception also was classified such as the overall purchasing process, quality of products, exposure of the personal information, delivery system, refund and exchange. The major findings of this study were 1) most important categories affecting their buying behavior were the value of convenience and following values in order were time, price, reliability, intrinsic attributes. 2) the risk perception were overall purchasing behavior, quality of products, exposure of personal information, delivery, and refund & exchange in order. 3) age of buyers, buying experience on the internet shopping mall, and gender were the important factors affecting the buyers'perceived value and risk. 4) the study also, showed that according to the variety of products, buyers perceived the value and risk differently, for example, the price was the most important perceived value in case of food product. The implication of the study is to strategically suggest how to enhance the buyers'perceived value and diminish perceived risk of different products.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Internet shopping interests on the casual relationships among Internet shopping mall attributes, emotions, and impulse buying behavior. Data were obtained from 414 internet shoppers who had bought fashion products in internet shopping mall. The result showed that the highly interested Internet shoppers, when perceived the product attributes of Internet shopping mall, were more likely to feel positive emotions, and then were more likely to buy fashion products impulsively in Internet shopping. The less perceived the convenience of checkout & trust in Internet, the more negative emotions they had. However, the less interested Internet shoppers were more likely to buy impulsively fashion products with positive emotions when they perceived various product assortments, and were negatively influenced by the high speed of loading and promotions of Internet shopping mall. The findings provide implications of impulse buying behavior in Internet shopping malls for fashion products.

  • There have been many research papers and practical implementations on the various EC(Electronic Commerce) aspects such as merchant system, security, payment gateway, legal and policy issues. However, it is very hard to find the systematic approaches and business process models from the viewpoint of the company willing to start B2C(Business-To-Customer) EC. Therefore, we develop business process models for the planning, systems analysis and design, implementation, and operation of internet shopping mall to suggest a guideline and reference model for the realization of successful B2C EC.

  • The purpose of this paper was to reveal Service Operation Strategy for the Internet shopping mall based on the types of internet users' market segmentation focus on the internet shopping behavior and e-service quality. In this paper, we examined internet shopping behavior and internet service quality factor depend on the types of internet users' group empirically. The empirical study result identifies the main decision factor depend on the types of internet users' group. On the basis of these result, Service Operation Strategy for the internet shopping mall has been suggested.

The Effects of Internet Shoppers' Trust on Purchasing Intention in China

  • Recently, owing to the rapid development of Internet and information technology in China, the growth of consumers' purchasing activities in the Internet Shopping Mall has been truly phenomenal. Thus, it is considered essential to understand what affects Chinese consumer's intention to purchase in the Internet Shopping Mall. Based on prior studies, trust is thought as a key factor affecting on Chinese consumers' purchasing intention. Hence, the purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of Chinese consumer's trust on purchasing intention of Internet Shopping Mall. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, a research model has been established and it suggests that there are significant relationships between trust and purchasing intention, e-commerce knowledge and trust, perceived reputation and trust, perceived risk and trust, perceived ease of use and purchasing intention. The results of the study show that the relationships between these variables are all significant. This research confirms the important effect of Chinese consumer's trust on purchasing intention. Implications of these findings are discussed for researchers and practitioners.
