  • The measuring tests on the maximum opening distance and the maximum capacity opening distance were conducted on the one hundred normal dental college students and staffs o Seoul National University in order to study the relationships between the maximum opening distance and maximum capacity opening distance. The results were as follows: 1. The maximum opening distance and maximum capacity opening distance were not coincided. 2. The distance of the maximum opening was higher than that of the maximum capacity opening. 3. Physiologic reflex was caused by the water injected into the mouth. 4. The correlation between the maximum opening distance, and maximum capacity opening distance was hardly recognized. 5. Each correlation of the weight height and cheek thickness to maximum opening distance and maximum capacity opening distance was not recognized.

  • The solar cells should be operated at the maximum power point because its output characteristics are greatly fluctuate on the variations of insolation, temperature and loads. To obtain maximum power from solar cell, photovoltaic system cell power system usually requires maximum power point tracking controller. This paper propose Maximum power point tracking method using zero slope of differential value of maximum power. The power compare method traces to maximum power point rapidly but oscillate on the maximum power point largely, when quantity insolation variation is big. The power compare method is traces to maximum power point slowly but oscillate maximum point on the maximum power point smally, when quantity insolation variation is small. To solve two problem of the power compare method, designed zero slope of differential value of maximum power.

  • For a connected graph G, an r-maximum edge-coloring is an edge-coloring f defined on E(G) such that at every vertex v with $d_G(v){\geq}r$ exactly r incident edges to v receive the maximum color. The r-maximum index $x^{\prime}_r(G)$ is the least number of required colors to have an r-maximum edge coloring of G. In this paper, we show how the r-maximum index is affected by adding an edge or a vertex. As a main result, we show that for each $r{\geq}3$ the r-maximum index function over the graphs admitting an r-maximum edge-coloring is unbounded and the range is the set of natural numbers. In other words, for each $r{\geq}3$ and $k{\geq}1$ there is a family of graphs G(r, k) with $x^{\prime}_r(G(r,k))=k$. Also, we construct a family of graphs not admitting an r-maximum edge-coloring with arbitrary maximum degrees: for any fixed $r{\geq}3$, there is an infinite family of graphs ${\mathcal{F}}_r=\{G_k:k{\geq}r+1\}$, where for each $k{\geq}r+1$ there is no r-maximum edge-coloring of $G_k$ and ${\Delta}(G_k)=k$.

  • Maximum clique problem is to find a maximum clique(largest in size) in an undirected graph G. We present a method that computes either a maximum clique or an upper bound for the size of a maximum clique in G. We show that this method performs well on certain class of graphs and discuss the application of this method in a branch and bound algorithm for solving maximum clique problem, whose efficiency is depended on the computation of good upper bounds.

  • To find a lateral long term behavior of driven H-piles in embankment, inclinometer is installed at pile and measurement is done during a year. When behavior of measured slope angles is in accord with behavior of nonlinear p-y curves(Reese, Murchison and O'Neil, Matlock's p-y analysis), maximum displacement of pile head, maximum stress and maximum bending moment of pile obtained from the numerical analysis are shown. As results, maximum lateral displacement at pile head, maximum stress and maximum bending moment of pile are shown linear behavior, And maximum lateral load, maximum lateral displacement, and maximum bending moment at pile obtained from the numerical analysis are 8∼12.4tonf, 9∼10.1㎜, and 10.39∼12.67tonf-m per pile according to the curves, respectively.

  • In this paper, 3-dimensional designing program CATIA was used to design in order to investigate causes of a fire in a boiler using synthetic heat transfer fluid. And also structural analysis was conducted to the boiler by using 3-dimensional finite element code, ANSYS. Maximum temperature, maximum stress, and maximum strain were obtained at the normal condition and after fire.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the maximum occlusal force implant prostheses to natural teeth. Material and Method: Fifty nine patients treated either with $Br{\aa}anemark$ implants and ITI implants during the recent ten years were involved in this study. The maximum occlusal force were measured with unilateral bite force recorder and dental prescale system. Results: 1. The maximum occlusal forces of the implant prostheses and natural teeth were not significantly different where measured with unilateral bite force recorder and dental prescale system. 2. The maximum occlusal forces were not significantly different between $Br{\aa}nemark$ implant and ITI implant prostheses. 3. The maximum occlusal forces of the implant prostheses had lower when compared with natural teeth during 1-6 months functional periods when measured with the unilareral bite force recorder(P<0.05) and 1-12 months functional periods when measured with the dental prescale system(P<0.05). After these periods there was not statistical significant difference between the implant prostheses and natural teeth. 4. The maximum occlusal forces of the wide diameter implant prostheses were higher than the maximum occlusal forces of the regular diameter implant prostheses when measured with dental prescale system(P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between the wide diameter and the regular diameter implant prostheses when measured with unilateral bite force recorder. 5. The maximum occlusal forces of the single implant prostheses were not significantly different with the splinting implants prostheses. 6. The maximum occlusal forces of the implant prostheses were not significantly different by age and sex. 7. There was significantly different between maximum occlusal forces measured with unilateral bite force recorder and dental prescale system(P<0.0001) but there was positive correlation(r=0.52. P<0.05). Conclusion: The maximum occlusal forces of the implant prostheses were not significantly different to natural teeth during clenching and unilateral maximum biting.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to confirm the effectiveness of the diaphragm stretching technique as a treatment method for low back pain by evaluating maximum inspiratory pressure, maximum expiratory pressure, and changes in back mobility in patients with low back pain. Methods: Thirty-four patients with low back pain were randomly divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The diaphragm stretching technique was conducted in the experimental group, and the placebo intervention was conducted in the control group. The diaphragm stretching technique was conducted once, maintaining tension for 7 min. The placebo intervention was conducted in the same position as the diaphragm stretching technique, but with only light contact maintained without pressure. Maximum inspiratory pressure, maximum expiratory pressure, and back mobility were measured before and after the intervention, and the changes were compared and analyzed. A paired sample t-test was used to compare measurements within the group before and after the intervention. An independent t-test was used to compare the experimental and control groups. Statistical significance (α) was set at 0.05. Results: In the experimental group, maximum inspiratory pressure, maximum expiratory pressure, and back mobility increased significantly after the intervention (p < 0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the changes in all areas of the control (p > 0.05). As a result of comparative analysis of changes before and after the intervention, there were significant differences in maximum inspiratory pressure, maximum expiratory pressure, and back mobility only in the experimental group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The diaphragm stretching technique improved maximum inspiratory pressure, maximum expiratory pressure, and back mobility compared to the placebo intervention. Therefore, the diaphragm stretching technique can be recommended as a physical therapy intervention to improve pain in patients with LBP.
