철도산업의 발전방향에 관한 기초 연구 (The Basic Study on the development of rail industry)

  • In this paper, I illustrate the situations and problems rail industry is faced with. The rail industry has been suffering deficiency in investment with low technical level. Lacks of strategic marketing plans and low competitiveness in the industry led to a small portion of modal share, estimated at 12.6% in 2001(person base). Recently, rail industry has caught up with the current flow of changes. For example, a prototype of Korea high speed train had been manufactured to be successfully tested on commercial track. And the amount of rail investment increased gradually. The rail industry of EU nations, America, Japan reveals good outcomes, which keeps the balance in the black thanks to growth of investment in rail and high technical level. I have come up with some ideas for improvement, which I believe will be helpful to lead the rail industry. First, I suggest the upbringing of rail industry and technology on a national level. Second, expanding the rail network with the rail modernization. Lastly, I think it is crucial to establish a law and institution before we advance into overseas markets.

Structuring of Unstructured SNS Messages on Rail Services using Deep Learning Techniques

  • This paper presents a structuring process of unstructured social network service (SNS) messages on rail services. We crawl messages about rail services posted on SNS and extract keywords indicating date and time, rail operating company, station name, direction, and rail service types from each message. Among them, the rail service types are classified by machine learning according to predefined rail service types, and the rest are extracted by regular expressions. Words are converted into vector representations using Word2Vec and a conventional Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is used for training and classification. For performance measurement, our experimental results show a comparison with a TF-IDF and Support Vector Machine (SVM) approach. This structured information in the database and can be easily used for services for railway users.

유라시아 이니셔티브에서의 철도운송네트워크 효율화방안 (A Study on the Efficient Methods of Rail Transport Network under the Eurasia Initiative)

  • 유라시아의 지역적 중요성으로 인하여 주요 국가들이 유라시아와 관련된 국가대전략을 수립하고 있는데 그 대표적인 것이 중국의 일대일로전략과 한국의 유라시아 이니셔티브라고 할 수 있다. 한국의 유라시아 이니셔티브는 동북아 물류중심지화 전략이후에 수립된 박근혜정부의 창조경제기반 국가대전략으로서 유라시아의 미래를 위하여 역내국가들과 함께 하나의 대륙, 창조의 대륙, 평화의 대륙을 만드는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 이러한 유라시아 이니셔티브에서 중요한 사업의 하나가 물류운송 네트워크 구축사업인데 물류운송 네트워크 구축사업은 유라시아 친선특급, 나진-하산 물류사업, 북극항로개척, 철도운송 네트워크로 살펴볼 수 있다. 본 논문은 유라시아 이니셔티브상의 철도운송네트워크 구축사업을 포함하여 유라시아 익스프레스 사업의 현황을 살펴보고 효율화방안을 모색함으로써 유라시아 물류 네트워크의 조기 구축에 기여함을 그 연구목적으로 한다.

장기철도망 구축계획의 구축과정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Process of Constructing a Long-Term Railway Network Plan)

  • 본 논문은 한반도에 처음으로 철도가 등장한 이래 검토하지 않았던 국가철도망 계획을 추진한 것이 1998년도로 이를 통하여 새로운 철도시대가 시작되었다. 그 후 반복적인 국가철 도망 계획이 수립되어 국가기간교통망으로 그 역할을 대행하면서 철도의 가치를 제시하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 국가철도망 계획은 예산의 제약 속에서 선구별 그리고 연간 단위당 재원투입 양의 제약, 열차운행의 정합성 등으로 문제가 있으나 시설중심의 계획이 반복되고 있다. 따라서 1998년도에 국가철도망계획이 처음 수립된 이후 수정 등에 새로운 방안 그리고 사회간접자본에 대한 인식의 변화 등으로 고려한 방안의 검토가 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문은 국가철도망 구축에 따른 시간적 변화에 따른 사회간접자본에 대한 시각차이, 국가사회경제적 기반의 변화, 자연재해에 대한 인식의 차이 등의 관점에서 그 변화를 검토하는 것이 그 내용이다.

  • ERTMS/ETCS Level 2 is currently planning, making contract, constructing and operating at several lines in European well-developed railway countries different from past ten years ago, and applying extensively for purpose of its intercompatibility and operational efficiency, and economic feasibility. On the other hand, ATP system correspond to ETCS Level 1, which was domestically introduced in early 2000, has introduced, operated, and planned or constructed in national railwaynetwork, but the lines, which its improvement period is come, are being occurred starting Gyeongbu Line. Therefore, we study the consideration and construction plan by stages if LTE-R Korean Radio-based Train Control System for conventional & high-speed railway under domestic development is extensively applied as the third National Railway Network Construction Plan was announced.

궤도회로의 전기적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Electrical Characteristics of Track Circuits)

  • Track circuit decides whether the section is occupied by train or free using the electrical characteristics of the rail, and sends information to the train using the rail as the medium of communication. So the electrical parameters of the rail are important to the track circuits. But they are influenced by the frequency of the transmitted signal and the environments like rain, snow and location of the rail. In this paper, the parameters of the rail is practically measured using the measurement method based on the 2-port network. The measurement demonstrates that the parameters of the rail is dependent on the frequency of the signal flowing on the rail and the environments like wheather. So this analysis of the parameters helps the design of track circuits.

  • The TGV has been developed in a competition with the domestic air transport. But recently, with congestion, do-regulation of air transport and with the increase of number of cities served by the TGV, operators of rail and air transport are looking for a complementarity between the two modes. In this paper, we'll analyse the background and development of high-speed rail-air links in France for a development plan of high speed transportation network in a national level in Korea.

  • According to opening Seoul-Busan high speed rail line in 2004, we are studying to offer speedily for the parcel service of high speed rail-combined transport as it does, tender the quality freight services within a one and the same high speed train formation. Therefore, we reviewed for various types of HSR-combined transport and suggested to application methods in Korean high speed rail line. Through these kinds of approaches, we are able to expect the fulfillment of customer needs for high speed rail market segments, the profit maximization of future railway operating companies, and enhancement for cost-effective rail network operation of the mixed traffic on infrastructure cost-reduction in national logistics.

교통분포, 수단선택 및 교통할당의 결합모형 (A Combined Model of Trip Distribution, Mode Choice and Traffic Assignment)

  • In this paper, we propose a parametric optimization approach to simultaneously determining trip distribution, mode choice, and user-equilibrium assignment. In our model, mode choice decisions are based on a binomial logit model and passenger and cargo demands are divided into appropriate mode according to the user equilibrium minimum travel time. Underlying network consists of road and rail networks combined and mode choice available is auto, bus, truck, passenger rail, and cargo rail. We provide an equivalent convex optimization problem formulation and efficient algorithm for solving this problem. The proposed algorithm was applied to a large scale network examples derived from the National Intermodal Transportation Plan (2000-2019).

  • 레일 매립형 궤도시스템은 연속레일지지방식으로 하중분산 효과가 크며, 궤도부재에 발생하는 응력이 매우 작다. 다양한 장점을 갖고 있는 레일 매립형 궤도는 국내에 적용사례가 드물며, 고속 운행선 적용을 위한 연구는 매우 미흡하다. 본 논문에서는 고속운행선에서의 레일 매립형 궤도시스템 적용을 위한 기초연구로써, 실내시험을 통한 수직강성을 도출하였으며, 도출된 강성과 이론해석을 통해 최적단면을 도출하였다.
