염색집성목을 이용한 목가구 개발에 관한 연구 2 (A Study on the Development of Wooden Furniture used with Dyed-Glued laminated Wood)

  • Recently, shows the possibility of providing such dyed-gathered woods after forming single boar This studyds with using cheap timbers generated by the thinning. It is helpful for master artisans are suffering from finding qualified materials. Traditionally, the master artisan has been used the beautiful grained wood from around roots of old zelkova trees and black persimmon trees. Instead, this study shows that dyed-gathered woods replace the natural grained wood and also produces a furniture made of an aggregate and a plate from walnut trees and ash trees which are a contrast to dyed-gathered woods. Dyed-gathered woods can reproduce the various colors to satisfy people's tastes, and the dignified grains that we can see in the old woods. Besides, dyed-gathered woods can replace rare materials and provide higher reliability of supplies.

염색집성목을 이용한 목상감 재료의 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of Inlay Made from Dyed-Gathered Wood)

  • Inlay is a high technique of inlaying patterns on the surface of crafts and widely used transcending time and place at various hand crafting area. Inscribed pattern technique using rare materials in the area have been used by the artisans of artistic flair and functionality and its value is also highly regarded from ancient to modern and inherits and is being developed today. Existing inlay technique, however, has not been spread out because it needs craftsman's skill based on the handcraft and inscribed materials are very rare to use. This paper aims to replace natural wood Sanggam materials for traditional furniture patterns such as Samho Jang, Ohho Jang, Seongtoenoe Moon, Gyeopgwinoe Moon and wood inlay text like Soo (Long life), Bok (Luck), Kang (Peace), Ryoung (Relaxed) and gammadion cross pattern. Gathered black, yellow and white color dyed wood using power tools can replace rare natural inlay materials through reliable and standardized supply. Dyed-gathered inlay materials can easily replace wood inlay materials, therefore, attempt to create an improved direction regarding materials and fabrication techniques in order to make traditional or contemporary artistic furniture to be produced.

색채 목가구재 개발을 위한 천연염료의 이용에 관한 연구 (제1보) - 천연염료의 추출 방법에 따른 색채 변화 연구 - (Application of Natural Dyes for Developing Colored Wood Furniture (I) - Color Variation by Extraction Methods of Natural Dyes -)

  • 현대 주거 공간의 색채 유형이 다양화 되고 실내 공기질 관리법이 시행되면서 환경친화형 컬러가구재의 개발이 매우 필요한 시점이다. 따라서 치자, 홍화, 오배자, 자초, 소목 및 밤송이 등으로부터 천연염료를 추출하여 적정한 염색조건을 도출하였다. 천연염료 추출시 용매의 pH가 높아지면서 동일계 색상일지라도 더 짙은 염료가 얻어졌다. 염색에 앞서 천연염료와 목재 조직과의 결합을 촉진하기 위하여 알루미늄, 구리, 철 및 크롬 계통의 매염제를 처리하였는데, 매염제의 종류에 따라 황색, 갈색, 녹색 등의 색상이 얻어졌다. 매염 처리된 목재 시험편에 본 천연계 염료로 염색한 경우 염색시의 pH와 온도가 높아질수록 짙은 색상이 얻어졌을 뿐만 아니라 염액이 목재 조직 내부로 더욱 깊이 침투하였다. 컴퓨터 모델링을 통하여 보여진 천연염색된 컬러가구는 다양한 색상이 요구되는 현대 주거 공간과 조화를 꾀할 수 있어 천연염료가 현대 목가구 제작에 적합한 재료로 사용될 것으로 사료되었다.

환경 친화적 관점에 기초한 현대 가구의 Minimalism적 고찰 (Study of Minimalism of Contemporary Furniture Based on Environment-fiendly Aspect)

  • This study was carried out to develop colored-wood furniture using veneer, small-round log and fiberboard to protect forest resources through the study of minimalism. which advocates the environmental issue inherent to contemporary furniture in the postmodern era. Based on the historical and theoretical context of minimalism closely related to the environmental protection, this study suggested the technical way how to produce the environment-friendly furniture with the least use of valuable and natural log. Finally, the color-wooden furniture was developed based on the asceticism, simplification, and repetition of the minimalism in a trend of contemporary furniture design. By soaking a veneer, Psuedotsuga menziesii and small-round log, Pinus densiflora into a very-diluted organic dye, the environment-friendly and colored-wood furniture could be created in harmony with contemporary interior space, which has showed various colors such as yellow, blue, red, and green with a pastel tone. The spring wood of the colored softwood was deeply stained, while the summer wood was lightly done. By utilizing such valueless used woods which have been little in furniture production, it was possible to decrease the consumption of precious raw log such as zelkova, ebony, rose, maple, cherry, mahogany and so on. Thus, it became obvious to be able for contemporary furniture designers to produce beautiful furniture with dyed fiberboard and small-round logs pregnant with minimalism.

색채 목가구 개발을 위한 천연염료의 이용에 관한 연구(제2보) - 천연염료의 처리 방법에 따른 색 변화 연구 - (Application of Natural Dyes for Developing Colored Wood Furniture (II) - Color Variation by Treatment Methods of Natural Dyes-)

  • 본 연구는 치자나무, 홍화, 오배자, 지치(지초), 소목 및 밤송이 등으로부터 추출한 천연염료를 이용하여 밤나무재를 염색할 때 나타나는 목재 표면의 색상 변화를 정량적으로 분석하여 효과적인 천연염색법을 검토하였다. 목재 시편은 염액의 온도, pH, 침지시간, 반복처리 횟수 등과 같은 다양한 처리조건을 적용하여 다채로운 색을 발현시겼고, 천연염색된 시편의 색상을 정량적으로 측정하기 위하여 $L^*$, $a^*$$b^*$ 값을 측정하여 채도와 염착농도를 산출해 내었다. 도막처리법은 천연염색 시에 많은 시간을 필요로 하는 침지 처리에 비해서 더욱 경제적인 처리법이라는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 착색력이 낮은 도막처리법은 반복적인 도막 처리를 통하여 원하는 색상을 얻을 수 있었으며 색상의 농담도 쉽게 표현할 수 있었다. 천연염색 처리 결과 염액의 온도가 높으며 약산성 염료(pH4의 수준)를 사용함으로써 우수한 착색효과를 얻을 수 있었다.
