In this paper, we study both the numerical index and the polynomial numerical index. First, we give a sufficient condition for a Banach space X to have lushness. Second, we study the relation between the renormings of a Banach space and the k-order polynomial numerical index. This shows that every real Banach spaces of dimension greater that 1 can be renormed to have 2-order polynomial numerical index ${\alpha}$ for any ${\alpha}{\in}[0,1/18)$.

The main symptoms of allergic rhinitis are sternulation, rhinorrhea and rhinanchon. It is also characterized by frontal headache, ohotophobia and epiphora. Alleric rhinitis occurs when inhaled alleren is in contact with nasal mucosa which causes immune response. Bojungiki-Tang is one of the most frequently used medical treatment for the allergic rhinitis. Two chronic perennial allergic rhinitis sutterers, whose alleraies are thought to be due to house dust and ticks, were investigated through the eosinoohil numerical index and the subject symptom numerical index for three months. After treatment, both patients showed a lower index for both tests. The symptom index scores diminished from 17 to 3, and from 16 to 5. The eosinophil numerical index taken through blood tests, diminised from 4 to 2, and from 4 to 3. The above results suggest that Bojungiki-Tang has the inhibitory effects on allergic rhinitis.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the aircraft icing index of Korean peninsula using the numerical weather prediction model, KWRF and pilot weather report data. As comparing the pilot weather report data with the calculated icing index using the KWRF model result, SCLW, RAP, and AFGWC index are more useful than any other index, and IC2, NAWAU, and RSID index are different case by case. But IC1, SID1 and SID2 index show that these overestimated severe icing in every vertical level. Through this icing study, it is expected that this study will help to develop the proper icing index of Korean peninsula.

The purpose of this study is analysis of Korean peninsula aircraft turbulence using the numerical weather prediction model, KWRF with the various turbulence index and pilot weather report data. Compared with the pilot weather report data and Calculated the turbulence index using the KWRF model result, many turbulence index show the similar horizontal distribution, except for the TUB2 and VWS. The analysis of vertical structure of turbulence, there are some difference each turbulence index respectively, but severe turbulence turn up in 15,000ft almost turbulence index. above 20,000ft height, intensity of turbulence vary each turbulence index. This research proposes the index optimization as a classification task and application of the graph based KNN. We need the index optimization as an important task for maximizing the information retrieval performance. And we try to solve the problems in encoding words into numerical vectors, such as huge dimensionality and sparse distribution, by encoding them into graphs as the alternative representations to numerical vectors. In this research, the index optimization is viewed as a classification task, the similarity measure between graphs is defined, and the KNN is modified into the graph based version based on the similarity measure, and it is applied to the index optimization task. As the benefits from this research, by modifying the KNN so, we expect the improvement of classification performance, more graphical representations of words which is inherent in graphs, the ability to trace more easily results from classifying words. In this research, we will validate empirically the proposed version in optimizing index on the two text collections: NewsPage.com and 20NewsGroups.

In the mine exploitation stage; one of the critical issues is the stability assessment of post-pillars. The instability of post-pillars leads to serious safety hazards in mining operations. The focus of this study is to assess the stability of post-pillars in the 130# stope in the central ore body at Trepça hard rock mine by employing both conventional (i.e., critical span curve) and numerical methods (i.e., FLAC3D). Moreover, a new numerical based index (i.e., Pillar Yield Ratio-PYR) was proposed. The aim of PYR index is to determine a border line between stable, potentially unstable, and failure state of post-pillars at a specific mine site. The critical value of pillar width to height ratio is 2.5 for deep production stopes (e.g., > 800 m). Results showed that pillar size, mining height and mining depth significantly have affected the post-pillar stability. The reliability of numerical based index (i.e., PYR) is verified based on empirical underground pillar stability graph developed by Lunder, 1994. The proposed pillar yield ratio index and pillar stability graph can be used as a design tool in new mining areas at Trepça hard rock mine and for other situations with similar geotechnical conditions.

The chronic non-bacterial prostatis disease is relatively incurable, chronic and recurrent. Due to its prostatis barrier, chronic non-bacterial prostatis disease is difficult to be penetrated with Medicine. Nevertheless, we obtained the desired results using the method of iki action by Bojungiki-tang. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of treatment and change of WBC numerical index using Bojungiki-tang. We investigated one chronic non-bacterial prostatis disease for about one year with NIH chronic prostatis symptom index, expressed prostatic secretion(EPS). After the treatment, symptom index score was decreased from 27 to 1. Also WBC numerical index by EPS test was decreased to zero. These results indicate that oriental medical therapy is effective in treating chronic non-bacterial prostatis disease. Therefore further study of the effect of herb-medicine is necessary.

There are technical difficulties in measuring the numerical apertures of multi-mode gradient-index plastic optical fibers (GI-POFs) due to their strong speckle noise originating from dopants, non-uniformity of gradient-index profile, and multi-mode interference. Therefore, we propose a new method of obtaining the numerical aperture by controlling the size of the incident laser beam and measuring the numerical aperture of GI-POF. The results show that we can get a value for the numerical aperture of GI-POF very similar to that measured by the conventional method. We can also obtain the optimum launching condition of input beam and maximum coupling efficiency.
