  • This paper suggests that sparse code motion algorithm should be used to make the code optimal in the respect of computation and lifetime. This algorithm Is SpCM algorithm, which expand BCM and LCM algorithm. BCM algorithm carries out the optimal code motion computationally and LCM algorithm reduces the register pressure in SpCM algorithm. Generally, code motion algorithm accomplishes the run-time optimal connected with the optimum of computation and the register pressure. Computational cost and consideration of the code size in the register pressure are also added in the paper. The optimum of code motion could be obtained through SpCM algorithm, which considers the code size, in audition to computational optimal and lifetime optimal. The algorithm presented in this paper is the most optimal algorithm in the respect of computation and lifetime, as all the unnecessary code motions are restrained.

  • In this paper a new technique to generate spreading code sequences in the CDMA communication is introduced. It is an effective method to generate optimal code sequences using the orthogonality of wavelet packet basis set of subspaces. With a three-stage Quadrature Mirror Filter(QMF), generation of optimal code sequences has been demonstrated. Since these generated optimal code sequences are non-binary and have an arbitrary waveform which is different from that of the conventional PN-based Gold code sequences, a strong security against the intended interceptor is feasible. Encouraging good correlation properties are also achieved with this new method.

  • In this paper, we propose an optimal 2-dimensional construction algorithm of a code family for a high-speed optical code division multiple access network. The optimal 2-D code family generated by search algorithm has better spectrum efficiency than previous codes, having relatively many code sets with short code length and the same or lower BER. Using the optimal 2-D code, OCDMA systems make it possible to utilize the spectrum more efficiently than WDM systems. The probability of bit error for high-speed OCDMA transmissions is calculated as a function of the number of users in the presence of receiver and shot noise(additive white Gaussian noise).

  • Code is a set of words. If, for any pair of words in the code, one is not prefix of another, the code is called "Prefix(-Free) Code". The prefix coding problem is, given n, to find an optimal code with the minimum-sum of lengths of n words. As a special case of this, we present a method to find, given language L in some specific classes of regular languages, an optimal code among prefix codes in L. We also show how the structure of optimal codes varies as n grows, using trees.

  • We construct new binary optimal self-dual codes of length 50. We develop a construction method for binary self-dual codes with a fixed-point-free automorphism of order 2. Using this method, we find new binary optimal self-dual codes of length 52. From these codes, we obtain Lee-optimal self-dual codes over the ring $\mathbb{F}_2+u\mathbb{F}_2$ of lengths 25 and 26.

  • Recently, a product-matrix (PM) framework was proposed to construct optimal regenerating codes for homogeneous distributed storage systems (DSSs). In this paper, we propose an extended PM (EPM) framework for coding of heterogeneous DSSs having different repair bandwidths but identical storage capacities. Based on the EPM framework, an explicit construction of minimum remote-repair bandwidth regenerating (MRBR) codes is presented for a specific heterogeneous DSS, where two geographically different datacenters with associated storage nodes are deployed. The data reconstruction and regeneration properties of the MRBR code are proved strictly. For the purpose of demonstration, an example implementation of MRBR code is provided. The presented MRBR code is the first optimal strict-regenerating code for heterogeneous DSSs. In addition, our proposed EPM framework can be applied to homogeneous systems also.

  • Many of the currently used PN code acquisition algorithms detect the phase of the incoming PN signal on the basis of ML estimation principle and utilize statistics grounded in taking inner products. As an extension of PN code acquisition algorithm using one auxiliary code introduced by Salih in 1996, we propose a more and optimal (hardware / time / space complexity wise) algorithm by using a vector space approach. We outline some important differences between our algorithm and that introduced by Salih and in the process point out some advantages of our algorithm.

  • We present construction methods for free self-orthogonal (self-dual or Type II) codes over ℤ4[v]/〈v2 + 2v〉 which is one of the finite commutative local non-chain Frobenius rings of order 16. By considering their Gray images on ℤ4, we give a construct method for a code over ℤ4. We have some new and optimal codes over ℤ4 with respect to the minimum Lee weight or minimum Euclidean weight.

  • The most widely used radar pulse compression technique is correlation processing using Barker code. This technique enhances detection sensitivity but, unfortunately, suffers from the addition of range sidelobes which sometimes will degrade the performance of radar systems. In this paper, our proposed optimal algorithm eliminates the sidelobes at the cost of additional processing and is evaluated in the presence of Doppler shift. We then propose optimal codes with regard to the proposed algorithm and the performance is compared against the traditional correlation processing with Barker codes. The proposed processing using optimal codes will be shown to be superior over the traditional processing in the presence of Doppler shift.
