The Influence of Nurses' Organizational Culture on Their Job Satisfaction and Organization Commitment at the Public Health Center (보건소 간호조직문화가 직무만족과 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study examines how the types of organizational culture at a public health center affect job satisfaction and organization commitment of nurses. Method: The study selected 139 nurses from six public health centers located in G city, J province as subjects. The data was collected from April 1 to May 31 in 2008. Result: In regard to type of organizational culture had significant correlation with both job satisfaction and organization commitment, job satisfaction and organization commitment also showed high correlation. Concerning type of organizational culture, two variables of affiliated culture and innovative culture explained 26.3% of job satisfaction and 29.3% of organization commitment. Conclusion: The job satisfaction and organization commitment of nurses varied according to types of organizational culture of a public health center, and showed high correlation. The more affiliated and innovative the organizational culture was, the higher job satisfaction and organization commitment turned out. Therefore, it is advisable to develop a strategy that systematically creates a affiliated and innovative organizational culture that pays attention to goal achievement of the nurse.

  • This study was carried out in order to verify the influence that recognition was mad to organization commitment, organizational culture type leadership of a social welfare organization. The study object a total Part 456 was used to analysis as social worker engaged in to social welfare agency. It was for an independent variable to revolutionized leadership, exchanged leadership as leadership type, and it was organizational culture an mediator variable, analyzed correlation of organization commitment, analysis return in order to grasp an influence to be mad to organization commitment material leadership type, executed path analysis so that direct and indirect effect being mad to organization commitment organizational culture through leadership type. Result of research, A total effect to affect regarding organization commitment, there is most a lot of revolutionized leadership, affected that organization culture appeared group culture of an organization, exchanged leadership, development culture. A leader of a social welfare organization shall improve self-participation and business efficiency voluntary of an employee through revolutionized leadership, in order to improve organization commitment of an employee, this leadership types had to improve organization commitment of an employee as group culture of an organization.

An Empirical Study on the Structural Relationship among Gender Discrimination, Organization Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior in the Korean Shipping Firms

  • The objective of this study is to empirically investigate the effect of gender discrimination to female workers in Korean shipping firms on the their organization commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. In carrying out the objective of this study, two hypotheses about the structural relationship among gender discrimination, organization commitment and organizational citizenship behaviors in the Korean shipping firms are established after reviewing the related studies. Survey questionnaires are distributed and analyzed to test the reliability and validity of the response. Also, a structural equation model is established and the model is analyzed by AMOS. In conclusion, there are a negative effect of gender discrimination on female workers' organizational commitment and a positive effect of their commitment on OCB. Through this paper, the comprehensive understanding of the structural relationship among gender discrimination, organization commitment and organizational citizenship behavior would be promoted.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate leisure types of casino dealers, and how these leisure types effect the organization trust, customer orientation, organization commitment. This study was performed survey questionnaire on casino dealers at Kangwondo and Seoul. To achieve the research objectives, analysis methods were used: regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of the study were as follows. First, leisure types had a effect on organization trust. Second, leisure types had a effect on customer orientation and organization commitment. Third, organization trust had a effect on organization commitment. Finally, customer orientation had a effect on organization commitment. The results of this study suggested implications for effective human resource management practices on casino dealers in leisure activities and support measures for the organization in connection with the leisure types.

Effect of mentoring function on job satisfaction, organization commitment, and turnover intention in the newly employed dental hygienists (멘토의 기능이 신입 치과위생사의 직무만족, 조직몰입, 이직의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to examine the effect of mentoring function on job satisfaction, organization commitment, and turnover intention in the newly employed dental hygienists. Methods: Two hundred and fourteen dental hygienists in Daegu and Gyeongbuk completed a self-reported questionnaire from January to May 2013. The instrument for the questionnaire consisted of mentoring function, mentoring personality, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. The data were analyzed by frequency analysis, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results: The longer duration of the mentoring for the newly employees strengthened job satisfaction and organization commitment. The mentoring function had a positive effect on job satisfaction and organization commitment, and decreased turnover intention. The higher quality of personality overcome the turnover intention. Conclusions: The mentoring is very important to enhance the job satisfaction and organization commitment in the newly employees. Loner duration of work(${\beta}=.268$, p=0.008) explained higher job satisfaction. Higher quality of personality(${\beta}=0.279$, p<0.001) also had higher job satisfaction. The explanation power of the model was 36.5% and the revised model explanation was 35.6%. The effective mentoring is closely related to job satisfaction and organization commitment and it can reduce turnover intention.

Effects of Satisfaction Level of Doctors from Five University Hospitals on Organization Commitment Level (5개 대학병원들의 의사만족도가 조직몰입도에 미치는 영향)

  • The present study aimed to survey doctors working in five university hospitals about internal customer satisfaction and organization commitment level in order to identify casual relationships through structure equations. According to the analysis, organization management had the biggest impact on internal customer satisfaction level, and the sooner the factor was named personnel, leadership, job, and compensation, the bigger the impact it had on the level. The research model was generally found to be good in terms of goodness of fit, considering the value of $x^2$ calculated as 103.314, the degrees of freedom of 38, GFI 0.924, AGFT 0.868, NFI 0.888, CFI 0.925, and RMSEA 0.086. In conclusion, the internal customer satisfaction level of doctors was significantly proportionate to organization commitment by means of their general satisfaction level, while also being directly proportionate to organization commitment (p<0.05). Meanwhile, statistical significance could not be found when measuring the effects of the doctors' basic characteristics on the levels of internal customer satisfaction and general satisfaction in hospitals.

A Study on the Job Satisfaction and Organization Commitment of Employees according to the School Food Service Environments (학교급식 환경에 따른 급식조리사의 직무 만족과 조직 몰입에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the job satisfaction and organization commitment of employees according to the school food service environments. The questionnaire to measure was completed by 150 employees in the Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The demographic data showed that 48.7% of respondents were in their fifties and most of them were females(96.6%). They were employed in the middle and high schools. The results were as follows : Frist, factors that influenced job satisfaction were student preference and rule-observance. Second, the importance of school food service environments didn't influence the compensation factor for job satisfaction. Third, factors that influenced job satisfaction among school food service environments were kindliness and the management of employees and rule-observance. Rule-observance showed the highest satisfaction scores among the rest of them. Forth, it was concluded that the management of employees, food quality and student preference influenced the organization commitment of food service employees. The research results show that rule-observance of food service environments and the importance of managing employees have influence on co-worker relations, job and organization commitment.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of tax officials' perceived self-leadership on their empowerment and organization commitment, improve the effectiveness of human resource management of tax organizations, and provide measures for effective organization management. The study results show that the more their self-leadership improves, the more their empowerment improves. Firstly, the reason why their self-leadership has a positive influence on empowerment is that they set their own purpose about their task by themselves, make efforts to achieve the goals, and do their job with optimistic and constructive attitude. Secondly, the study results that their empowerment has a positive influence on organization commitment show that organizational members with high-level empowerment attach significance to their work and it makes their organization commitment high. To maximize organization performance, tax officials should recognize their work's value, meaning, and importance by himself, be equipped with sufficient knowledge for their work, apply their leverage and control in their job, have their self-determination, and improve their organization commitment.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of organization citizenship behavior of casino employees and organization commitment, organization commitment and customer orientation, organization citizenship behavior and customer orientation. In order to analyze data of this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted with employees of casino in Gangwon-do. This study considers organization citizenship behavior of casino employees and examines the method of enhancement of organization citizenship behavior, organization commitment and customer orientation for development of casino industry. The results of the study were as follows. First, organization citizenship behavior had a statistically significant effect on citizenship, sportsmanship. Second, organization commitment had a statistically significant effect on customer orientation. Third, altruism and sportsmanship had statistically significant effects on customer orientation, citizenship had a statistically significant effect on satisfaction of customer need, conscientious action had a statistically significant effect on customer reception service.

Effect of Care Workers on Job Satisfaction on Organization Commitment (요양보호사의 직무만족이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to empirically analyze the effect that the job satisfaction of care workers would have on the organization commitment. For this study, 230 care workers were surveyed via mail who were working at the long-term recuperation institutes for the elderly located in the eastern part of Jeollanam-do. 141 sets of questionnaires were used for analysis, excluding those with missing data. The collected data were processed by using the SPSS 18.0 to conduct the frequency analysis, reliability analysis, t/F-test, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results of analysis suggested the followings : First, the difference in organization commitment based on individual characteristics and job characteristics of care workers was found to exist, depending on the age related to individual characteristics and types of institutes and work types related to the job characteristics. Second, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to analyze the effect that the job satisfaction of care workers would have on organization commitment. With the individual characteristics and occupation environment variables of care workers being controlled, it was found that the job satisfaction of care workers had the greatest effect on organization commitment. This implies that the extent of job satisfaction determines the commitment level of care workers for the concerned job.
