The aim of the research is to figure out how the perception and the attitude of hospital staff have effect on cost management behavior, to check the mediation effect in the relationship between cost attitude and cost management behavior, and to provide some basic data of efficient cost management means for hospital staff. The major results of research can be summed up as following. Subordinate factors of cost perception such as conviction, information, and thought were all revealed as meaningful effect ones on cost attitude, but they didn't have meaningful effect on cost management behavior. However, if we check the final results of direct effect, indirect effect, and total effect in its variants, we can understand that cost perception have indirect effect on cost management behavior via cost attitude. Cost attitude was revealed as the greatest variant having direct effect on cost management behavior. As a conclusion, it seems that the correct cost perception can make positive cost attitude, by which desirable cost management behavior can be induced. Therefore, as the correct cost perception can make positive attitude, it is necessary to construct effective system to provide useful cost information for staff at anytime and at any place continually on organization aspect. It is important to get correct cost perception for the positive attitude of staff. Nevertheless, if the positive attitude would not be formed, it is necessary to search for the ways for personal motivation, for the management behavior cannot emerge positively.
The shock of melamine-contained food has been known with the incident of hospitalization or death of infants at the age of 11-month old in China. The purpose of this study was to examine consumers' risk perception, attitude and purchase behavior of melamine-contained food which recently came to the fore as a social issue, focusing on the relationship between consumers' attitude and purchase behavior based on physical risk, social risk, psychological risk, financial risk, consumers' attitude and purchase behavior. Study findings are as follows. First, the four factors of risk perception of melamine-contained food were significantly different by consumers. Consumers regarded social risk as most significant and it was followed by financial risk and psychological risk. And they regarded physical risk as most insignificant. Second, as for the difference of risk perception by demographic features, such factors as gender, age, marital status and schooling had no statistically significant influence. Third, the potential risk of melamine-contained food had a negative influence upon consumers' attitude and purchase behavior. In addition, consumers' attitude and purchase behavior were decided by perceived risks. This finding implies that consumers' attitude can accompany with negative or positive behavior and consumers' behavior can be related to social, financial and physical risks. Because the risk perception of melamine-contained food can cause consumers' distrust about all kinds of food in general, domestic manufacturers of milk product-contained confectionery and food can be harmed. In order to overcome this problem and make consumers purchase all the milk products and milk-contained food without fear, governmental agencies must reestablish systems with which the safety of imported raw materials and its processing can be insured and manufactures must improve the quality of products in a diverse and discriminative manner. This study seems to be meaningful in that it examined consumers' risk perception of melamine-contained food, a current social issue, and then looked into the influence of risk perception upon consumers" attitude and behavior, thus presenting the strategy of reestablishing the system of relationship between consumers and business entities in a desirable manner.
The purpose of this study were, (1) to analyze the effect of the selected variables on urban housewives' family resource management attitude and behavior, and (2) to identify the casual effects of variables on family resource management behavior. A sample of 641 was selected from housewives living in urban area. For data analysis, one-way ANOVA, DMR test, t-test, multiple regression, and path analysis were used. The major findings were as follows: 1. The housewives' family resource management behavior level was lower than their attitude level. 2. The family resource management attitude and behavior among the respondents were affected by the following independent variables : interest with environmental reports and newspapers, perception of time constraints, perception of economic reward. 3. The family resource management attitude had the greatest causal effect on the family resource management behavior.
The purpose of this study is to investigate かe factors related to the environment-oriented consumer behavior, and to analyze the effects of environmental knowledge, perception of environmental problems, and environment-oriented attitude on the environment-oriented consumer behavior. The data used in this study were collected through questionnaires on 535 wives living in Cheju City. The data were analvzed by using SPSS WIN program. The summaries of this study are as follows. Using behaviors was influenced by age and family income, but buying and disposing behavior are not influenced by socio-economic variables of wives. Environmental knowledge only has effects on disposing behaviors, and environment-oriented attitude behavior has effects on buying, using, and disposing behavior. But the perception of environmental problems hasn't effects on them. Wives' environment-oriented behavior are more effected by environment-oriented attitude than perception of environmental problems. In buying behavior, environment-oriented attitude is the most influential factor, and the reference group is the second influential factor. But in disposing behavior, the reference group is the most influential factor, and environment-oriented attitude is かe second influential factor.
This paper aims to stretch the technology acceptance model (TAM) approach by investigating a clothes rental network. One of the understudied geographies of the world economy is the large-scale international trade in clothes, which are consumed by Chinese consumers. An online (www.sojump.com) survey was conducted by including 303 Chinese respondents. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to test the proposed hypothesis. The results indicated that external influence has a significant impact on the perceived ease of rental. Furthermore, consumers' perceived ease of rental influences the attitude towards renting, and perceived ease of rental plays a complete mediating role between them. However, external influence has no significant impact on perceived usefulness, and consumers' perceived usefulness has no impact on rental intention. In addition, attitude towards renting works as an indispensable mediation between perception and behavior. This study highlights the role of perception, attitude, behavior on clothes rental, and provides guidance and suggestions for clothes rental platform.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate health behavior related to particulate matter (PM) in older adults and examine the factors affecting it. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used. Data were collected from 150 voluntary older adult participants from Songpa-gu in Seoul. The survey questions measured service perception and experience related to PM, risk perception related to PM, attitude toward risk of PM, and health behavior related to PM. Results: The average score for health behavior related to PM was 79.37, ranging from 51 to 115. There was a significant positive correlation between health behavior related to PM and risk perception related to PM (r=.58, p<.001) as well as between health behavior related to PM and attitude toward risk of PM (r=.70, p<.001). Multiple linear regression revealed that health behavior related to PM was predicted by levels of the existence of disease related to PM (β=.14, p=.019), service experience related to PM (β=.20, p=.021), risk perception related to PM (β=.20, p=.019), and attitude toward risk of PM (β=.44, p<.001). The model including these variables accounted for 47.0% of health behavior related to PM. Conclusion: Korean older adults have the low level of health behavior related to PM. The findings of this study emphasize that risk perception and attitude toward risk of PM should be evaluated, and the underlying diseases related to PM and their service experience should be considered in developing intervention to improve health behavior related to PM.
The current exploratory study attempted to investigate the influence of environment-friendly agricultural products(EAPs) perception on EAPs consumption behavior. The survey was conducted to parents of elementary school in Chung-buk area by the help of homeroom teachers of each school. Out of 500 questionnaires administered, a total of 305 completed questionnaires were returned, yielding a response rate of 61%. Regarding buying behavior, 89.6% of respondents have ever bought EAPs, among them, 52.9% usually bought in a mart. The reason to buy EAPs was mostly safety(57.6%), nutrition & health(30.4%), and quality(7.0%). The 11 items representing the attitude and knowledge were analyzed, resulting in three distinct dimensions-'attitude', 'knowledge', and 'concern'. The knowledge level of EAPs was slightly higher than medium. Concerning the influence of EAPs perception on EAPs consumption behavior, the more having high knowledge and attitude level on EAPs, the more lead to the EAPs consumption behavior. This implicit the importance of education to enhance the knowledge level and positive attitude towards EAPs.
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Educational interventions targeted food selection perception, knowledge, attitude, and behavior. Education regarding irradiated food was intended to change food selection behavior specific to it. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: There were 43 elementary students (35.0%), 45 middle school students (36.6%), and 35 high school students (28.5%). The first step was research design. Educational targets were selected and informed consent was obtained in step two. An initial survey was conducted as step three. Step four was a 45 minute-long theoretical educational intervention. Step five concluded with a survey and experiment on food selection behavior. RESULTS: As a result of conducting a 45 minute-long education on the principles, actual state of usage, and pros and cons of irradiated food for elementary, middle, and high-school students in Korea, perception, knowledge, attitude, and behavior regarding the irradiated food was significantly higher after the education than before the education (P < 0.000). CONCLUSIONS: The behavior of irradiated food selection shows high correlation with all variables of perception, knowledge, and attitude, and it is necessary to provide information of each level of change in perception, knowledge, and attitude in order to derive proper behavior change, which is the ultimate goal of the education.
