  • This paper proposes a robust control design method for improving the cornering stability of a personal electric vehicle equipped with in-wheel motors. In general, vehicles undergo severe parameter variations and unpredictable disturbances with respect to a wide range of driving conditions (e.g., road surface conditions and vehicle velocity conditions). For this reason, robust control design techniques are required to guarantee consistent driving performances and robustness against various driving conditions. In this paper, an adaptive sliding mode control method is employed to enhance cornering stability by controlling the direct-drive in-wheel motors independently. Additionally, in order to confirm the effectiveness of a proposed control method, real driving tests with an experimental personal electric vehicle are performed.

A Study on the Steering System of Electric Scooter

  • Recently, the popularization of personal mobility(PM) has made it possible to see many electric scooters. The energy source of personal transportation used by the general public and the disabled can be seen as environmentally friendly as electricity. Personal transportation means are divided into small electric vehicles because they use electric energy, and they are being treated as new models by automobile manufacturers in each country and spurring development. On the other hand, personal transportation means may cause various types of traffic accidents as they travel between roads and a human walk. In order to prevent such accidents, it is judged that the enactment of laws on the establishment of specifications for electric scooters, which are personal transportation means, and the method of restricting road operation should be given priority. The electric scooter is basically different from the conventional vehicle. The steering shaft of the steering system applied to the electric scooter one to two is possible. 1 to 2 the front-wheel under the steering column is used. It is classified according to the number of wheel installed at the electric scooter is the vehicle body into 2 wheel - electric scooter, and 3 wheel - electric scooter and 4 wheel - electric scooter. In this study, we propose a steering shaft design model that can be applied to an electric scooter, one of personal transportation means. A design model for 1-shaft steering and 2-shafts steering that can be applied to electric scooters is proposed. In addition, we have produced the prototypes for the commercialization of the proposed models, and reviewed the pros and cons of the manufactured prototypes and models.

  • 본 논문에서는 전기동력 추진기관을 사용하는 비행체의 추진시스템에 대하여 분석하고, 무게분석을 통하여 PAV의 전기동력시스템을 살펴보았다. 현재 1,000 kg의 PAV를 개발할 경우 PEMFC와 리튬전지를 조합한 추진기관이 내연기관을 대체할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 내연기관을 대체하기 위해서는 연료전지 출력밀도 2.5 kW/kg, 배터리 에너지밀도 0.75 kWh/kg 이상의 성능이 요구된다.

퍼스널 모빌리티 사고 유형별 상해 위험성 분석 (The Analysis of Injury Risk for the Type of Accident by Personal Mobility)

  • Personal mobility, which was used exclusively for leisure activities, has recently been used as a means of transportation, and it is expected to increase its role as the next generation transportation. Sales of personal mobility are increasing rapidly, but the problem is that traffic accidents are also increasing. In this study, human body injury caused by various collisions between electric wheel users and road users that occur on bicycle or pedestrian roads mainly used by personal mobility is analyzed through collision analysis and collision risk analysis. In the case of the collision accident for electric wheel, it is analyzed that the road users are more likely to be injured on the pedestrian road than the bicycle road. In addition, the head hit each other or fall and hit the floor caused severe head injury.

Tilt-rotor 항공기 동력계통 중량 추정에 대한 상쇄연구 (Trade-off Study of Propulsion Systems Weight Estimation for Tilt-rotor Personal Air Vehicle)

  • This paper presents the trade-off study of conducting a survey of the weights for various kind of propulsion systems installed in the Smart Unmanned Aerial Vehicle TR-100, a tilt-rotor vehicle, which is developed by Korea Aerospace Research Institute, in order to predict the appropriate propulsion system for present and future Personal Air Vehicle, which has single mode and vertical take-off & landing. In order to perform the trade-off study, we set the requirements that the vehicle hovers for 1 hour with 1,000 kg maximum take off weights. In this study, the power systems are classified engine, which uses the fossil fuel - turboshaft engine, piston engine, diesel engine and rotary engine, and electric motor with fuelcell or Li-Ion battery. The results of trade-off study shows the power systems using fossil fuel are superior to using fuelcell or Li-Ion battery for weight of propulsion system. Also turboshaft engine is the best power system for the aspects of system weight, and the nexts are rotary engine, piston engine, diesel engine, electric motor with Li-Ion battery, and electric motor with fuelcell.

전기추진 1톤급 Personal Air Vehicle의 동력시스템 예비 분석 (Preliminary Analysis of Power Systems for 1-ton class Electric Powered PAV)

  • 본 논문에서는 PAV에 쓰이는 전기추진 시스템에 대해서 기술하고 동력시스템에 대한 분석, 무게산정을 통하여 PAV 추진시스템으로서의 전기추진시스템을 살펴보았다. 연료전지와 배터리를 같이 사용 하는 전기추진의 경우 아직은 내연기관만큼 성능을 내진 못하지만 에너지 밀도가 약 0.75 kW$^*$hr/kg, 출력밀도는 약 2.5 kW/kg 정도까지 성능이 나온다면 기존의 내연기관을 대체할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 연료전지와 배터리 등을 이용한 친환경적인 전기추진 방식은 요즘 주된 관심사인 소음 공해 문제를 해결할 수 있는 훌륭한 해결책이 될 수 있을 것이라 생각된다.

  • 전기자동차의 증가에 따라 공공장소의 전기자동차 충방전 기반시설 또한 급격히 늘어나고 있다. 전기자동차의 충방전을 위해서는 보안상의 취약점을 최소화하기 위해 전기자동차와 서비스 제공자가 서로의 신원을 확인하는 상호인증과정 후에 층방전 서비스를 시작하여야 한다. 본고에서는 해쉬함수와 메시지 인증코드를 사용하여 전기자동차와 충방전 서비스 제공자간의 양방향 인증 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 효율적인 충방전 시스템의 운영에 대해 기술한다. 제안된 시스템은 외부로 부터의 공격에 강한 내성을 가지며 충방전 서비스 이용자의 개인정보를 효과적으로 보호할 수 있다.

  • In this study, the status of global advanced air mobility (AAM) was investigated to derive information and communications technologies (ICTs) that should be prepared according to directions of domestic AAM development. AAM is an urban air traffic system for moving from city to city by electric vertical take-off and landing or personal aircraft. It is expected to establish a three-dimensional air traffic system that can solve ground traffic congestion caused by the rapid global urbanization. With the full-scale commercialization of AAM solutions, high-density air traffic is expected, and with the advent of the personal air vehicle (PAV), the flight space usage is expected to expand. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a safe AAM service through early research on core ICTs for autonomous flight.

  • 환경에 대한 대중의 관심과 더불어 정부 정책 차원에서 전기차에 대한 지원 사업 확대로 전기차에 시장이 점차 커지고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 대표적인 전기차 특구지역인 제주지역민 2,332명을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 전기차에 대한 자동차의 총보유비용 측면에서 지각된 가치가 높을수록 전기차 구매의향이 높았으며, 개인적 특성인 혁신수용성, 사전지식 및 지역 애착도의 수준이 높을수록 전기차 구매의향이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 많은 선행 연구에서 경제적 가치를 주로 가격으로 간주하고 연구가 이루어진 반면, 본 연구는 경제적 가치를 총보유비용 관점에서 접근하여 기존 연구와 차별점화된 결과를 도출하였다. 또한 마케팅 실무자들은 전기차 구매의향을 높이기 위한 전략적 방안으로 전기차에 대한 경제성을 단순히 구매가격이 아닌 전체적인 총비용관점으로 고객들이 경제적 가치를 판단할 수 있도록 가격프레이밍을 제안할 수 있다는 점에서 실무적 공헌점도 찾아볼 수 있다. 또한 제주 이외에 여러 지역에서도 동일 연구를 수행하여 연구 결과를 일반화 할 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다.

CVT system applied pulley consisting of the basic disk and rotational disk

  • Automobile manufacturers in each country are spurring the development of electric vehicles that use electric energy, an eco-friendly energy, as a futuristic vehicle. Electric vehicles have the advantage of no harmful gas or environmental pollution and low noise. Unlike automobiles using existing internal combustion engines using fossil fuels, electric vehicles use the electricity of batteries to cause rotational motion of motors. In the electric vehicle driven by the motor, it is indispensable to develop a controller for controlling the motor. One of the areas where automobile manufacturers are concentrating is the development of small electric vehicles as a personal transportation means. Small electric vehicles such as electric motorcycles, one-seat electric vehicles and two-seat electric vehicles are expanding the market as a means of operating throughout the city. In the domestic road conditions with many hills, it is effective to have a separate transmission system for small electric vehicles to drive smoothly. In this study, we propose a new type of continuously variable transmission(CVT) system to ensure that small electric vehicles can be driven smoothly in hilly domestic terrain. The proposed CVT system is equipped with a basic disk and a rotational disk in the driving pulley and the driven pulley, respectively, and is applied with a sloping spline to rotate the rotational disk. To commercialize the proposed CVT system, an experimental device was developed to examine the power transmission efficiency and the configuration of the CVT system was proposed.
