The Relationship of Privacy Violation and Psychological Distance in Korean Ubiquitous Government Service (한국 유비쿼터스 정부 서비스에서의 사생활 침해와 심리적 거리와의 관계)

  • Today the u-government services are becoming more personalized and intelligent. For the successful implementation of personalization, individual user's privacy concerns must be respected and taken care of. Based on the empirical survey results, this research summarizes the reluctance to the government's use of private information using six categories. We measure user's psychological distance toward e-government using the four levels, adopting the suggestions by the Proxemics. Since a positive correlation is Identified between people's psychological Intimacy toward e-government and their tolerance to the use of private Information, the amount and/or types of private information should be sequentially used in personalization systems. Initially allowing the least intolerable private information such as occupation information, the personalization system should additionally use the next tolerable Information such as health information or service request/interest information, as user's psychological distance toward government services becomes shorter.

  • The need for personalized web site design has been increased these days. Current approach for personalized web site design is easily applied to web site with their cost-effective feature, but is hard to provide a more refined personalized service due to its lack of accumulation of user data. In this study, the design recommender system is investigated as a more advanced method for web site design personalization. We provide an overview of current recommender systems, and then outlined a newly developed design recommender system, which employs collaborative filtering technique to provide tailored recommendation for users.

  • Convenience and promptness of the internet have been not only making the electronic commerce grow rapidly in case of website, analyzing a navigation pattern of the users has been also making personalization and customization techniques develop rapidly for providing service accordant to individual interestingness. Web personalization and customization skill has been utilizing various methods, such as web log mining to use web log data and web mining to use the transaction of users etc, especially e-CRM analyzing a navigation pattern of the users. In this paper, We measure exact duration time of the users in web page and web site, compute weight about duration time each page, and propose a way to comprehend e-loyalty through the computed weight.

  • 본 논문에서는 센서를 활용하여 개인의 위치 및 상황 정보를 수집하고 패턴을 분석하여 이에 따라 동적으로 서비스를 제공하는 상황인식 TV 프로그램 추천 및 제어 시스템(CAPUS)을 제안하였다. 상황인식기반 TV 응용서비스를 위하여 개인화(Personalization)기술에 적용을 할 수 있는 사례로 TV채널 추천을 예로 실험하였다. CAPUS는 유비쿼터스의 큰 축이라 할 수 있는 개인화기술을 구현할 수 있는 시스템으로 그 규모가 무척 크며 방대하다 할 수 있다. 본문에서 제안한 CAPUS는 사용자의 정보를 수집하는 에이전트, 분석하는 에이전트, 필터링하는 에이전트 등 다양한 소프트웨어와 알고리즘이 필요하다. 사용자의 정보를 동적으로 수집 및 분석하고 생성한 후에 이를 활용하여 사용자에게 다시 서비스를 제공하는 기술이 CAPUS의 핵심이라 할 수 있다. 데이터의 분석을 통해 비슷한 행동이나 상황을 파악할 수 있으며 사용자에게 맞는 서비스를 제공할 수 있게 된다.

  • A virtual locator is a logical locator based on the contents of a physical locator. These contents can be existing member properties in the physical locator. Using virtual locator, we can accomplish personalization which is the technology area associated most often with CRM. In this study, however, what are called virtual locators in many OLAP models would be treated as physical locators for many unique aggregation levels. By using physical locators, we can bring a successful e-business.

  • As digital convergence and mobile services evolve, personalization becomes one of the most important factors attracting customers. Personalization means functions offering individually customized services with relevant contents using information on individual preferences. This sort of personalized services has attracted great attention of a large part of online firms. One of representative services of such personalized services is a mobile widget service. In this study, we identified seven antecedents affecting the quality of personalized mobile widget services and empirically investigated which antecedent has a significant effect of the quality of personalized mobile widget services. In addition we carried out empirical investigation into the effect of the quality of personalized mobile widget service on user satisfaction and trust. As a result of this research, we revealed that seven variables including information services affected components of personalized services, and usefulness and perceived benefit as components of personalized services affected user trust and satisfaction for personalized services.

What Drives Mobile Commerce? Determinants of Behavioral intents to Adopt m-Commerce

  • This study aimed at investigating the features of m-commerce (mobility, perceived enjoyment, perceived personalization, and habit) that influence consumers' behavioral intents to adopt mobile shopping. To this end, it theorized on and examined the effects of the features of m-commerce that influence consumers' behavioral intents to adopt mobile shopping. The results showed that the most critical drives of m-commerce in mobile shopping are mobility, perceived personalization, and habit. And also we found that habit weakens (moderates) the effects of mobility on the consumers' behavioral intents to adopt mobile shopping. Habit has direct effects on the consumers' behavioral intents to adopt mobile shopping, and these effects are moderated by individual habit.

  • The goal of this paper is to develop a system which provides infotainment services for the healthy life of the elderly. First, we define the infotainment services for the elderly, and then determine the infotainment contents and categories related to the infotainment service. In order to provide the infotainment service, we define several modules as follow: user representation, contents generation, contents personalization, provision and learning manager. Finally we develop a pilot system which is based on the proposed framework.

  • To support cooperative work in various scenes by computer systems, functions of sharing personalization, observation and control are needed. Especially, in advanced cooperative work, people have various position so that sometimes one person needs to restrict behavior of another. In this paper, we describe representation of access restriction of hypermedia system, which is framework of CSCW(Computer-Supported Cooperative Works) system we developed and propose a way to go on working cooperatively with people, restricting others.
