  • In this paper, a differential polynomial ring $R[x;\delta]$ of ring R with a derivation $\delta$ are investigated as follows: For a reduced ring R, a ring R is Baer(resp. quasi-Baer, p.q.-Baer, p.p.-ring) if and only if the differential polynomial ring $R[x;\delta]$ is Baer(resp. quasi-Baer, p.q.-Baer, p.p.-ring).

  • Antoine studied conditions which are connected to the question of Amitsur of whether or not a polynomial ring over a nil ring is nil, introducing the notion of nil-Armendariz rings. Hizem extended the nil-Armendariz property for polynomial rings onto power-series rings, say nil power-serieswise rings. In this paper, we introduce the notion of power-serieswise CN rings that is a generalization of nil power-serieswise Armendariz rings. Finally, we study the nil-Armendariz property for Ore extensions and skew power series rings.

  • Let 𝔽 be a commutative ring. A restricted skew polynomial extension over 𝔽 is a class of iterated skew polynomial 𝔽-algebras which include well-known quantized algebras such as the quantum algebra Uq(𝔰𝔩2), Weyl algebra, etc. Here we obtain a necessary and sufficient condition in order to be restricted skew polynomial extensions over 𝔽. We also introduce a restricted Poisson polynomial extension which is a class of iterated Poisson polynomial algebras and observe that a restricted Poisson polynomial extension appears as semiclassical limits of restricted skew polynomial extensions. Moreover, we obtain usual as well as unusual quantized algebras of the same Poisson algebra as applications.

  • Let D be an integral domain, X be an indeterminate over D, D[X] be the polynomial ring over D, and D(X) be the Nagata ring of D. Let [d] be the star operation on D[X], which is an extension of the d-operation on D as in [5, Theorem 2.3]. In this paper, we show that D is a sharp domain if and only if D[X] is a [d]-sharp domain, if and only if D(X) is a sharp domain.

  • In this paper, we investigate the insertion-of-factors-property (simply, IFP) on skew polynomial rings, introducing the concept of strongly ${\sigma}-IFP$ for a ring endomorphism ${\sigma}$. A ring R is said to have strongly ${\sigma}-IFP$ if the skew polynomial ring R[x;${\sigma}$] has IFP. We examine some characterizations and extensions of strongly ${\sigma}-IFP$ rings in relation with several ring theoretic properties which have important roles in ring theory. We also extend many of related basic results to the wider classes, and so several known results follow as consequences of our results.

  • The reflexive property for ideals was introduced by Mason and has important roles in noncommutative ring theory. In this note we study the structure of idempotents satisfying the reflexive property and introduce reflexive-idempotents-property (simply, RIP) as a generalization. It is proved that the RIP can go up to polynomial rings, power series rings, and Dorroh extensions. The structure of non-Abelian RIP rings of minimal order (with or without identity) is completely investigated.

  • P. V$\acute{a}$mos called a ring R 2-good if every element is the sum of two units. The ring of all $n{\times}n$ matrices over an elementary divisor ring is 2-good. A (right) self-injective von Neumann regular ring is 2-good provided it has no 2-torsion. Some of the earlier results known to us about 2-good rings (although nobody so called at those times) were due to Ehrlich, Henriksen, Fisher, Snider, Rapharl and Badawi. We continue in this paper the study of 2-good rings by several authors. We give some examples of 2-good rings and their related properties. In particular, it is shown that if R is an exchange ring with Artinian primitive factors and 2 is a unit in R, then R is 2-good. We also investigate various kinds of extensions of 2-good rings, including the polynomial extension, Nagata extension and Dorroh extension.

  • A ring R is called linearly McCoy if whenever linear polynomials $f(x)$, $g(x){\in}R[x]{\backslash}\{0\}$ satisfy $f(x)g(x)=0$, there exist nonzero elements $r,s{\in}R$ such that $f(x)r=sg(x)=0$. In this paper, extension properties of linearly McCoy rings are investigated. We prove that the polynomial ring over a linearly McCoy ring need not be linearly McCoy. It is shown that if there exists the classical right quotient ring Q of a ring R, then R is right linearly McCoy if and only if so is Q. Other basic extensions are also considered.

  • We, in this paper, study the commutativity of skew polynomials at zero as a generalization of an ${\alpha}-rigid$ ring, introducing the concept of strongly skew reversibility. A ring R is be said to be strongly ${\alpha}-skew$ reversible if the skew polynomial ring $R[x;{\alpha}]$ is reversible. We examine some characterizations and extensions of strongly ${\alpha}-skew$ reversible rings in relation with several ring theoretic properties which have roles in ring theory.

  • This note focuses on a ring property in which upper and lower nilradicals coincide, as a generalizations of symmetric rings. The concept of symmetric ideal and ring in the noncommutative ring theory was initially introduced by Lambek, as an extension of the usual commutative ideal theory. The investigation of symmetric rings provided many useful results to the study in the noncommutative ring theory. So the results obtained from this study may be applicable to observing the structure of zero divisors in various kinds of algebraic systems containing matrix rings and polynomial rings.
