  • The Boneh, Goh, and Nissim (BGN) cryptosytem is the first homomorphic encryption scheme that allows additions and multiplications of plaintexts on encrypted data. BGN-type cryptosystems permit very small plaintext sizes. The best-known approach for the expansion of a message size by t times is one that requires t implementations of an initial scheme; however, such an approach becomes impractical when t is large. In this paper, we present a method of message expansion of BGN-type homomorphic encryption using composite product pairing, which is practical for relatively large t. In addition, we prove that the indistinguishability under chosen plaintext attack security of our construction relies on the decisional Diffie-Hellman assumption for all subgroups of prime order of the underlying composite pairing group.

  • Recently in the field of the wireless sensor network, many researchers are attracted to pairing cryptography since it has ability to distribute keys without additive communication. In this paper, we propose efficient hardware implementation of ${\eta}_T$ pairing which is one of various pairing scheme. we suggest efficient hardware architecture of ${\eta}_T$ pairing based on parallel processing and register/resource optimization, and then we present the result of our FPGA implementation over GF($2^{239}$). Our implementation gives 15% better result than others in Area Time Product.

  • Applying deep learning to machine vision systems for defect detection of products requires vast amounts of training data about various defect cases. However, since data imbalance occurs according to the type of defect in the actual manufacturing industry, it takes a lot of time to collect product images enough to generalize defect cases. In this paper, we apply a Siamese neural network that can be learned with even a small amount of data to product defect detection, and modify the image pairing method and contrastive loss function by properties the situation of product defect image data. We indirectly evaluated the embedding performance of Siamese neural networks using AUC-ROC, and it showed good performance when the images only paired among same products, not paired among defective products, and learned with exponential contrastive loss.

  • Let (H, B, .nu.) be an abstract Wiener space where H is a separable Hilbert space with the inner product <.,.> and the norm vertical bar . vertical bar=.root.<.,.>, which is densely and continuously imbedded into a separable Banach space B with the norm ∥.∥ , and .nu. is a probability measure on the Borel .sigma.-algebra B(B) of B which satisfies (Fig.) where $B^{*}$ is the topological dual of B and (.,.) is the natural dual pairing between B and $B^{*}$. We will regard $B^{*}$.contnd.H.contnd.B in the natural way. Thus we have =(y, x) for all y in $B^{*}$ and x in H. Let $R^{n}$ and C denote the n-dimensional Euclidean space and the complex numbers respectively.ctively.

  • With the establishment of rapid sequence analysis of 16S rRNA and the recognition of its potential to determine the phylogenetic position of any prokaryotic organism, the role of 16S rRNA similarities in the present species definition in bacteriology need to be clarified. Comparative studies clearly reveal the limitations of the sequence analysis of this conserved gene and gene product in the determination of relationship at the pathogenic strain level for which DNA-DNA reassociation experiments still constitute the superior method. Since today the primary structure of 16S rRNA is easier to determine than hybridization between DNA strands, the strength of the sequence analysis is to recognize the level at which DNA pairing studies need to be performed, which certainly applies to similarities of 97% and higher.

  • The elliptic functions have a set of zeros on the jw axis. In acitve realization we decompose a function into product of biquads. In this paper, a simple method of pole-zero pairing is proposed for the enhancement of overall dynamic range. Secondly, the optimum sequencing of individual biquads is developed and it is demonstrated that the commonly accepted sequencing technique does not hold in the case of elliptic functions. This work is an approximation for Leuder's(1970)method.

  • Quantitative determination of the protein expression levels is one of the most important parts in assessment of the safety of foods derived from genetically modified (GM) crops. Overexpression of AtCYP78A7, a gene encoding cytochrome P450 protein, has been reported to improve tolerance to abiotic stress, such as drought and salt stress, in transgenic rice (Oryza sativa L.). In the present study, an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit for diagnosing AtCYP78A7 protein including AtCYP78A7-specific monoclonal antibody was developed. GST-AtCYP78A7 recombinant protein was induced and purified by affinity column. Four monoclonal antibodies (mAb 6A7, mAb 4C2, mAb 11H6, and mAb 7E8) against recombinant protein were also produced and biotinylated with avidin-HRP. After pairing test using GST-AtCYP78A7 protein and lysate of rice samples, mAb 4C2 and mAb 7E8 were selected as a capture antibody and a detecting antibody, respectively, for ELISA kit. Product test using rice samples indicated that percentages of detected protein in total protein were greater than 0.1% in AtCYP78A7-overexpressing transgenic rice (Line 10B-5 and 18A-4), whereas those in negative control non-transgenic rice (Ilpum and Hwayoung) were less than 0.1%. The ELISA kit developed in this study can be useful for the rapid detection and safety assessment of transgenic rice overexpressing AtCYP78A7.

  • This study was performed to determine risk ranking of the combination of pathogen-livestock or livestock products to identify the most significant public health risks and to prioritize risk management strategies. First, we reviewed foodborne outbreak data related to livestock products and determined main vehicles and pathogens according to the number of outbreak and case. Second, expert's opinion about management priority of pathogen-livestock product pairing was surveyed with 19 livestock experts in the university, research center, and government agency. Lastly, we used the outcome of Risk Ranger (semi-quantitative risk ranking tool) of 14 combinations of pathogen and livestock or livestock products. We have classified the combination of pathogen-livestock products into group I (high risk), II (medium risk), and III (low risk) according to their risk levels and management priority. Group I, which is the highest risk for foodborne outbreak, includes Salmonella spp./egg and egg products, Campylobacter spp./poultry, pathogenic E. coli/meat and processed ground meat. In conclusion, the results of this study will provide the specific guideline of mid- and long-term planning for risk assessment and risk management prioritization of the combination of pathogen and livestock, or livestock product.
