  • Quality control test in this field of study were carried out in 3 categories, radionuclidic purity, chemical purity and radiochemical purity. Also, indication efficiency was tested every 3 hours changed after binding the radiopharmaceutical to see how long the medicine is available for usage after indicating. The result showed that currently used radiopharmaceutical have good radionuclidic purity and chemical purity. However, radiochemical purity indication showed small differences depending on indication method and indication period. Radiopharmaceutical are indicated by treatment providers, so they need to pay more attention to the indication process and quality control to provide more efficient treatment.

  • The present study was undertaken to investigate the dry wear process and wear mechanism of the alumina ceramics in the purity variation which are used for the mechanical seal, roll, liner and dies. The wear test was carried out under different experimental condition using the wear testing device and in which the annular surface rubbed on dry sliding condition various sliding speed, contact pressure and sliding distance. In case of alumina purity 95%, there was speed range which wear loss increased rapidly owing to enlargement of heat impact force and temperature rise of wear surface. According as the alumina purity increased, wear loss decreased but alumina purity 85% with much void and defect had the most wear loss than any other alumina purity. The friction coefficient of sliding initial stage of wear curves has a large value but according to increase of sliding distance, it decreased owing to drop of the shear strength of wear surfaces.

  • We introduce the concepts of the left purity, right purity, quasi-purity, bipurity, left weak purity and right weak purity of ordered ideals of ordered semirings and use them to characterize regular ordered semirings, left weakly regular ordered semirings, right weakly regular ordered semirings and fully idempotent ordered semirings.

  • In this study, a new method for the analysis of high-purity nitrogen was developed. A gas chromatography-flame ionization detector (GC-FID) was used for purity analysis. Certified reference materials (CRMs) at a level of 3 µmol/mol of carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), and methane (CH4), which may exist in high-purity nitrogen, were prepared using the gravimetric method, and these CRMs were used for purity analysis. In this new method, ultra-high-purity and high-purity nitrogen were used as carrier gases. The impurities in high-purity nitrogen were quantitatively analyzed by comparing the differences in the area values of the GC chromatograms of the prepared CRMs. We purchased liquid nitrogen and three bottles of nitrogen gas, which were produced by three different manufacturers, using high-purity nitrogen. Furthermore, to validate the developed purity analysis method, the fraction of impurities in high-purity nitrogen was compared with the results of the typical purity analysis method. The comparison results were consistent within the expanded uncertainties (k = 2).

  • Since the rigid and continuous networks of high-purity silica(white carbon) were relatively transparent to microwaves, high purity silica coupled with microwaves using a zirconia susceptor at room temperature and it was then heated to its melting temperature. The low-purity silica, contained small amount of impurities, yielded greater microwave absorption owing to easy motion of the interstitial alkali ions and it was then heated to its melting temperature. X-ray diffraction patterns of the low-purity silica were broader than those of the high-purity silica due to higher concentration of non-bridging bond and more deformed random network structure. In the vulcanization process of whitened or coloured rubber compound which is employing low-purity silica(white carbon) as a reinforcing filler, vulcanizate could be obtained effectively by microwave heating energy.

  • Barium titanate owes its great importance to the fact that its dielectric constant is about 100 times higher than that of conventional dielectric materials provided its compositional and structural purity is extremely high. The value of crystalline BaTiO3 bodies as used, for instance, in computer elements, magnetic amplifiers, memory device, ets., depend on boththe compositional and the structural purity of the BaTiO3 crystals. This purity will, in turn, depend on the purity of the raw materials used in manufacturing the BaTiO3 compound and on the particularmethods of manufacture which determine the size, homogeneity, and the structural purity of the crystals. This paper reviews the important theoretical considerations, processing techniques and applications related to sol-gel derived thin films.

  • The air purity-sterilizer was developed and the CFD and experimental studies were carried out in order to investigate the performance of a air purity-sterilizer. Overhaul and exchange efficiency were increased by the modularization of the air purity-sterilizer. The good performance was validated by the hot-wire measurements and flow simulations in the room. Mean velocities at the exit of the air purity-sterilizer were 0.91, 1.62, 1.99, and 6.14 m/sec according to the fan mode. And the flow visualization of pured air was shown by using CFD flow simulation in the room of 24, 50 pyeong. The results show that the air purity-sterilizer has a high performance enough to produce air purity-sterilizer on a commercial scale.

  • Thermal, electrical and mechanical properties of high purity niobium and tantalum refractory rare metals were investigated tn evaluate the physical purity. Higher purity niobium and tantalum metals showed lower hardness due to smaller solution hardening effect. Temperature dependence of electrical resistivity showed a typical metallic behavior. Remarkable decrease in electrical resistivity was observed for a high purity specimen at low temperature. However, thermal conductivity increased for a high purity specimen, and abrupt increase in thermal conductivity was observed at very low temperature, indicating typical temperature dependence of thermal conductivity for high purity metals. It can be known that reduction of electron-phonon scattering leads to increase in thermal conductivity of high purity niobium and tantalum metals at low temperature.

  • Traceability establishment in chemical measurements is a like a linkage established through an unbroken chain from the measured results to the international system (SI) of units. The primary process for traceability establishment is the purity assignment of a target material to be measured. In this study, we studied the purity assignment of 17α-hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP). The presence of 17-OHP is indicative of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) and it builds up due to the deficiency of 21-hydroxylase and 11β-hydroxylase enzyme in the human blood. The purity assignment of 17-OHP was performed by the mass balance method, in which the impurities are categorized into four classes: total related structural impurities, water, residual organic solvents, and nonvolatiles/inorganics. The total related structural impurities were characterized by HPLC-UV; water content was determined by Karl-Fisher coulometer; and the total residual solvents and nonvolatiles/inorganics were determined by TGA. The purity of 17-OHP from a commercial manufacturer was calculated as 993.30 mg/g, and the expanded uncertainty was 0.58 mg/g. The proposed method was validated by uncertainty evaluation and comparing with the actual value of purity.

  • The optical properties such as luminance and color coordinates for phosphor layer were studied with applied voltage and gas pressure, Xe mixing ratio, frequency using He and Xe mixing gas in chamber like AC PDP. The luminance of red phosphor layer at constant pressure(300Toor) is increased with increasing voltage, but color purity is not varied. The luminance of red phosphor layer at constant voltage(280V)is decreased with increasing pressure, but the color purity is not varied. But the luminance is increased with increasing Xe mixing ratio at constant pressure(200Toor). And also the color purity is improved by this process. The luminance is increased up to 40kHz, but the color purity with frequency is not varied.
