랜더링된 가축사체 잔류물 시용이 온실가스 및 고추 생육에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Application of Rendered Carcass Residue on Greenhouse Gases and Pepper Growth)

  • The rendering residue generated by rendering disposal, an eco-friendly livestock carcass disposal method, is a useful agricultural resource. Methods for recycling this are being actively researched, and this study investigated the impact of applying rendered residue directly to soil on crop productivity and the agricultural environment. The chemical properties of the rendering residue were examined. The pH, OM, T-N, T-P, CaO, K2O, and MgO content values were 5.47%, 59.8%, 9.22%, 2.96%, 2.16%, 0.51% and 0.10%, respectively. Treatment conditions were divided into control, inorganic fertilizer, and rendering residue, and rendering residue corresponding to 50, 100, and 200% nitrogen content was applied based on the amount of inorganic fertilizer nitrogen input. Greenhouse gases and ammonia were collected during the cultivation period. Rendering residue increased both the yield and growth of peppers and was effective in improving nutrients such as pH and OM of the soil after harvest. However, compared to inorganic fertilizer treatment, it increased emissions of nitrous oxide and methane as well as ammonia. It is judged that the direct agricultural use of rendering residue is difficult, and a utilization method is needed.

Risk-based approach to develop a national residue program: prioritizing the residue control of veterinary drugs in fishery products

  • Veterinary drugs are widely used to protect production-related diseases and promote the growth of farmed fish. The use of large amounts of veterinary drugs may have potential risk and cause adverse effects on both humans and the environment. In this study, we developed risk-based ranking based on a scoring system to be applied in the national residue program. In this approach, the following three factors of veterinary drugs that may occur as residues in fishery products were considered: potency (acceptable daily intake), usage (number of dose and withdrawal period), and residue occurrence. The overall ranking score was calculated using the following equation: potency × usage (sum of the number of sales and withdrawal period) × residue occurrence. The veterinary drugs that were assigned high score by applying this approach were enrofloxacin, amoxicillin, oxolinic acid, erythromycin, and trimethoprim. The risk-based approach for monitoring veterinary drugs can provide a reliable inspection priority in fishery products. The developed ranking system can be applied in web-based systems and residuemonitoring programs and to ensure safe management of fishery products in Korea.

광미를 이용한 지오폴리머 세라믹제조 및 물성 (Preparation and Characterization of the Mine Residue-based Geopolymeric Ceramics)

  • The goal of the present work was to investigate the development of a geopolymeric ceramic material from a mixture of mine residue, coal fly ash, blast furnace slag, and alkali activator solution by the geopolymer technique. The results showed that the higher compressive strength of geopolymeric ceramic material increased with an increase in active filler (blast furnace slag + coal fly ash) contents and with a reduction of mine residue contents. The geopolymeric ceramic had very high early age strength. The compressive strength of the geopolymeric ceramic depended on the added active filler content. The maximum compressive strength of the geopolymeric ceramic containing 20 wt.% mine residue was 141.2 MPa. The compressive strength of geopolymeric ceramic manufactured by adding mine residue was higher than that of portland cement mortar, which is 60 MPa, when cured for 28 days. SEM observation showed the possibility of having amorphous aluminosilicate gel within geopolymeric ceramic. XRD patterns indicate that the geopolymeric ceramic was composed of amorphous aluminosilicate, calcite, quartz, and muscovite. The Korea Standard Leaching Test (KSLT) was used to determine the leaching potential of the geopolymeric ceramic. The amounts of heavy metals were noticeably reduced after the solidification of mine residue with active filler.

  • In this study, the residue remaining on the silicon wafer during the oxide overetching using $C_4F_8/H_2$ helicon were plasmas and effects of various cleaning and annealing methods on the removal of the remaining residue were investigated. The addition of 30%$H_2$ to the C4F8 plasma increased the C/F ratio and the thickness of the residue on the etched silicon surface. Most of the residuse on the etched surfaces colud be removed by the oxygen plasmsa cleaning followed by thermal annealing over $450^{\circ}C$. Hydrogen-coataining residue formed on the silicon by 70%$C_4F_8/30%H_2$ helicon plasmas was more easily removed than hydrogen-free residue formed residue formed by $C_4F_8$ helicon wear plasmas. However, damage remaining on the silicon surface overetched using 70%$C_4F_8/30%H_2$ helicon plasmas was intensive and the degree of reocvery duing the post-annealing was lower.

Fate of Some Pesticides during Brining and Cooking of Chinese Cabbage and Spinach

  • Chinese cabbage and spinach applied with eight pesticides at two different rates were subjected to brining, heat-cooking, and blanching to determine residue or transfer ratios of those pesticides. Residue ratio in discarded inedible portion varied significantly, 0-94%, depending on pesticides applied, vegetable type, and cooking processes. Average reduction ratios of residues during cooking process were 78, 46, 23, 12, 10, 9, 8, and 2% in dichlorvos, diazinon, chlorpyrifos, endosulfan, EPN, cypermethrin, deltamethrin, and fenvalerate, respectively.

비지가루 첨가 식빵의 품질 특성 (Quality Attributes of Bread with Soybean Milk Residue-Wheat Flour)

  • 비지가루의 제빵 적성을 알아보기 위해 밀가루에 5%, 10%, 15%혼합한 빵을 만들고 비지빵의 제빵성을 향상시키기 위해 10% 비지가루 혼합분에 글루텐을 3%, 6%, 9% 첨가한 빵을 만들어 제빵 적성을 조사하고 관능검사를 실시하였다. 비지가루는 단백질 22.0%, 지방 13.2%, 탄수화물 54.3%그리고 식이섬유 27.2%를 함유하고 있었다. 영양성분이 풍부한 비지가루를 밀가루에 혼합하여 식빵을 만들었을 때 비지가루의 혼합비율이 증가함에 따라 수분흡수율, 반죽시간, 빵의 무게는 증가하였고 dough의 팽창력과 빵의 부피는 감소하였으며 10%비지가루 혼합분에 글루텐을 첨가함으로서 제빵 적성이 향상되었다. 빵의 crumb의 색도는 비지가루의 함량이 증가할수록 어두워졌으나 활성글루텐의 첨가로 밝아졌다 빵의 texture도 비지가루의 혼합비율이 높을수록 씹힘성, 경도는 증가하였으나 응집성은 차이가 없었고 활성글루텐의 첨가로 탄력성, 씹힘성, 경도는 증가하는 경 향을 보였다. 관능검사 결과 5%비지가루를 혼합하여 만든 빵은 종합적인 기호도에서 밀가루빵과 차이가 없었으며 10%비지가구 혼합분에 6% 글루텐을 첨 가하여 만든 빵은 글루텐을 첨가하지 않은 10% 비지가루 혼합분 빵보다 종합적인 기호도에서 좋은 평가를 받았다.

커피박과 목섬유를 이용한 중밀도섬유판의 제조 및 성능 평가 (Manufacture and Performance Evaluation of Medium-density Fiberboard Made with Coffee Bean Residue-Wood Fiber)

  • 본 연구에서는 수분 흡착효과가 있다고 알려진 커피박을 첨가하여 중밀도섬유판을 제조한 다음 물성과 강도특성을 조사하여 커피박의 중밀도섬유판 원료로써의 가능성을 확인하고자 하였다. 커피박은 주로 인스턴트커피 제조 시 많이 발생하는 찌꺼기인데 가수분해된 것을 전건무게 기준 3, 6, 9% 수준에서 목섬유와 혼합해 중밀도섬유판을 제조하였으며, 이 때 사용한 접착제는 요소수지접착제였다. 커피박과 목섬유를 섞은 중밀도섬유판에 대해 물성과 강도 특성 및 포름알데히드 방산량을 측정하였다. 커피박과 목섬유를 무작위로 섞어 제조한 중밀도섬유판의 휨강도와 박리강도는 모두 KS 기준보다 높게 나타났으며 커피박을 층으로 구성한 적층 성형구조 경우에는 모두 기준에 미달하였다. 제조된 중밀도섬유판의 흡수 두께팽창률은 시판용 중밀도섬유판보다 낮아 물리적 특성 면에서 현저히 개선됨을 보여주었다. 포름알데히드 방산량은 시판용 중밀도섬유판과 유사한 것으로 나타났으며 모두 KS 기준상의 $E_1$급에 부합하였다. 이런 결과는 커피박이 친환경 중밀도섬유판 제조 시 원재료로 활용될 수 있음을 보여주고 있으며 중밀도섬유판의 성능 향상을 위해서는 접착제와 커피박 간의 상호 접착성 및 커피박의 흡착성능 향상을 위한 전환방법에 대한 추가 연구가 요구된다.

국내 잔류농약 residue definition과 관련된 식이노출의 과소평가 (Underestimation of Dietary Exposure to Pesticide Residues in Relation to Residue Definition in South Korea)

  • 본 연구는 식물성 식품에 대한 잔류농약의 국내와 코덱스의 residue definition 비교를 통해 국내에서 식이노출 과소평가의 가능성이 있는 농약성분을 파악하고 더 나아가 식이노출 과소평가가 위해성 평가에 미치는 영향에 대해 우선적으로 검토가 필요한 농약성분을 알아내고자 하였다. 연구결과, 국내와 코덱스의 residue definition 정보로부터 식이노출 과소평가의 가능성이 있는 44종의 농약성분이 파악되었다. 이들 성분 중 농약성분의 ADI값, 국내 MRL 정보 및 대사물질의 독성학적 정보에 근거하여 다음의 24종 농약성분이 식이노출 과소평가가 위해성 평가에 미치는 영향에 대해 우선적으로 검토가 필요한 것으로 나타났다: acibensolar-S-methyl, chlorfenapyr, chlorothalonil, cyantraniliprole, cyclaniliprole, cyflumetofen, dithiocarbamates, fenamidone, fenpyroximate, fluazifop-P-butyl, fluopicolide, flupyradifuron, fluxapyroxad, glyphosate, hexythiazox, isoprothiolane, isopyrazam, myclobutanil, penthiopyrad, propiconazole, spinetoram, spiromesifen, spirotetramat, trifloxystrobin. 더 나아가 chlorfenapyr, chlorothalonil, dithiocarbamates, fenamidone은 대사물질의 독성이 더 커서 특히 우선적으로 검토가 요구되는 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 식품 중 잔류농약에 대한 국내 위해성 평가방법의 개선을 위해 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Protective effects of alginate-free residue of sea tangle against hyperlipidemic and oxidant activities in rats

  • The antihyperlipidemic and antioxidant activities of dietary supplementation of sea tangle from Goseong and the alginate-free residue of sea tangle were investigated in Sprague Dawley rats treated with a high-fat diet, streptozotocin, poloxamer 407, and bromobenzene. The alginate-free residue of Goseong sea tangle induced a significant reduction in triglycerides and total cholesterol levels, as well as a significant increase in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels. Alginate-free Goseong sea tangle residue reduced the activities of the phase I enzymes aminopyrine N-demethylase and aniline hydroxylase, which had been increased by intraperitoneal injection of bromobenzene. Pretreatment with Goseong sea tangle residue prevented a bromobenzene-induced decrease in epoxide hydrolase activity. Bromobenzene reduced hepatic glutathione content and increased hepatic lipid peroxide levels. Pretreatment with alginate-free Goseong sea tangle residue prevented lipid peroxidation induced by bromobenzene, but pretreatment with Goseong sea tangle did not. These results suggest that Goseong sea tangle residue exerted antihyperlipidemic and antioxidant activities that were higher than those induced by alginate-containing sea tangle. Therefore, the alginate-free residue may contain physiologically unknown active components, other than alginic acid, which may potentially be used to prevent hyperlipidemic atherosclerosis.

폐자동차 차피파쇄잔류물의 組咸에 대한 分析評價硏究 (Evaluation and Analysis of Composition of Shredder Residue from End-of-life Vehicle)

  • 현재 전량매립 처분되고 있는 차피파쇄잔류물(shredder residue)의 연료로써의 활용 가능성을 모색하기 위한 분석평가시험을 실시하였다. 수집한 차피파쇄잔류물을 입도별 및 재질별 선별작업을 통해 분류하고 이들 시료에 대한 Cl, S, 회분 및 발열량에 대한 화학분석을 실시하였다. 플라스틱에 함유된 PVC의 영향으로 대상시료 3종류 중 1 종류만을 제외하고는 시료의 평균 Cl 함량은 모두 4wt%를 상회하였다 반면, S 함량은 0.25∼0.39wt%로써 비교적 낮았다. 발열량의 경우 플라스틱이 10,000kcal/kg 이상으로 가장 높았으며, 나무/종이 및 섬유류가 4,000 kcal/kg 정도로써 가장 낮게 나타났다. 차피파쇄잔류물 중의 금속성분은 Fe 가 6∼8.5 wt%인 것을 제외하고는 모두 미량인 것으로 확인되었으며, 유독성 중금속인 Hg와 Cr(VI)은 검출이 되지 않았고, Cd은 0.0004∼0.0009wt%로 극미량이 검출되었다.
