GCR-LIGHTLIKE SUBMANIFOLDS OF A SEMI-RIEMANNIAN PRODUCT MANIFOLD

  • We introduce GCR-lightlike submanifold of a semi-Riemannian product manifold and give an example. We study geodesic GCR-lightlike submanifolds of a semi-Riemannian product manifold and obtain some necessary and sufficient conditions for a GCR-lightlike submanifold to be a GCR-lightlike product. Finally, we discuss minimal GCR-lightlike submanifolds of a semi-Riemannian product manifold.

  • In this paper, we define and study warped product skew semi-invariant submanifolds of a locally golden Riemannian manifold. We investigate a necessary and sufficient condition for a skew semi-invariant submanifold of a locally golden Riemannian manifold to be a locally warped product. An equality between warping function and the squared normed second fundamental form of such submanifolds is established. We also construct an example of warped product skew semi-invariant submanifolds.

  • We introduce the study of generic lightlike submanifolds of a semi-Riemannian product manifold. We establish a characterization theorem for the induced connection on a generic lightlike submanifold to be a metric connection. We also find some conditions for the integrability of the distributions associated with generic lightlike submanifolds and discuss the geometry of foliations. Then we search for some results enabling a generic lightlike submanifold of a semi-Riemannian product manifold to be a generic lightlike product manifold. Finally, we examine minimal generic lightlike submanifolds of a semi-Riemannian product manifold.

  • In this paper, we study both slant 3nd semi-slant sub-manifolds of an almost product Riemannian manifold. We give characterization theorems for slant and semi-slant submanifolds and investigate special class of slant submanifolds which are product version of Kaehlerian slant submanifold. We also obtain integrability conditions for the distributions which are involved in the definition of a semi-slant submanifold. Finally, we prove a theorem on the geometry of leaves of distributions under a condition.

  • In this paper, we introduce the idea of twisted product lightlike submanifolds of semi-Riemannian manifolds and provide non-trivial examples of such lightlike submanifolds. Then, we prove the non-existence of proper isotropic or totally lightlike twisted product submanifolds of a semi-Riemannian manifold. We also show that for a twisted product lightlike submanifold of a semi-Riemannian manifold, the induced connection ∇ is not a metric connection. Further, we prove that a totally umbilical SCR-lightlike submanifold of an indefinite Kaehler manifold ${\tilde{M}}$ does not admit any twisted product SCR-lightlike submanifold of the type M×ϕMT, where M is a totally real submanifold and MT is a holomorphic submanifold of ${\tilde{M}}$. Consequently, we obtain a geometric inequality for the second fundamental form of twisted product SCR-lightlike submanifolds of the type MT×ϕM of an indefinite Kaehler manifold ${\tilde{M}}$, in terms of the gradient of ln ϕ, where ϕ stands for the twisting function. Subsequently, the equality case of this inequality is discussed. Finally, we construct a non-trivial example of a twisted product SCR-lightlike submanifold in an indefinite Kaehler manifold.

  • In this paper, we prove that there are no non-trivial 𝒫ℛ-semi-slant warped product submanifolds with proper slant coefficients in para-Kähler manifolds ${\bar{M}}$. We also present a numerical example that illustrates the existence of a 𝒫ℛ-warped product submanifold in ${\bar{M}}$.

  • In this paper, when N is a compact Riemannian manifold, we considered the positive time solution to equation $\Box_gu(t,x)-c_nu(t,x)+c_nu(t,x)^{(n+3)/(n-1)}$ on M =$(-{\infty},+{\infty})\;{\times}_f\;N$, where $c_n$ =(n-1)/4n and $\Box_{g}$ is the d'Alembertian for a Lorentzian warped manifold.

CONFORMAL HEMI-SLANT SUBMERSION FROM KENMOTSU MANIFOLD

  • As a generalization of conformal semi-invariant submersion, conformal slant submersion and conformal semi-slant submersion, in this paper we study conformal hemi-slant submersion from Kenmotsu manifold onto a Riemannian manifold. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the integrability and totally geodesicness of distributions are discussed. Moreover, we have obtained sufficient condition for a conformal hemi-slant submersion to be a homothetic map. The condition for a total manifold of the submersion to be twisted product is studied, followed by other decomposition theorems.

  • In this paper, we study complete Riemannian immersions into a semi-Riemannian warped product obeying suitable curvature constraints. Under appropriate differential inequalities involving higher order mean curvatures, we establish rigidity and nonexistence results concerning these immersions. Applications to the cases that the ambient space is either an Einstein manifold, a steady state type spacetime or a pseudo-hyperbolic space are given, and a particular investigation of entire graphs constructed over the fiber of the ambient space is also made. Our approach is based on a parabolicity criterion related to a linearized differential operator which is a divergence-type operator and can be regarded as a natural extension of the standard Laplacian.
