DSC-PLL Design and Experiments Using a FPGA (FPGA를 이용한 DSC-PLL 설계 및 실험)

  • 본 논문은 FPGA 기반의 DSC-PLL(Delayed Signal Cancellation - Phase Locked Loop)을 설계하고, 왜곡된 3상전압 조건에서 위상추종결과를 비교실험 하였다. FPGA 구현 알고리즘은 Matlab/Simulink와 연동된 System Generator를 이용하여 DSC-PLL 모델을 설계하고, Verilog HDL 코드로 변환 하였다. 불평형 및 고조파를 포함한 왜곡된 3상 전압 조건에서 FPGA에 구현된 DSC-PLL과 SRF-PLL (Synchronous Reference Frame - Phase Locked Loop)의 d-q축 고조파 감쇠특성 및 위상추종능력을 실험을 통해 비교하였다. DSC-PLL은 약 5.44ms 이내에 d-q축 고조파 성분을 제거함으로써 정상분 기본파 전압의 위상을 빠르게 추종하는 것을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 LCI (Load Commuted Inverter) 시스템의 구동원리와 제어방식에 대해서 서술하였으며, 알고리즘 검증을 위한 모델링을 매트랩/시뮬링크를 사용하여 진행하였으며, 5kW급 프로토타입을 통해 제어 알고리즘의 성능을 확인하였다. 시스템 속도에 따라 달리하는 구동방식인 강제전류 모드와 자연전류 모드는 동기발전기의 정격속도 10%인 180rpm에서 모드 전환이 이루어지며, 과도상태 및 정격속도까지 안정적인 동작을 확인하였다.

Direct Power Control Scheme of Improved Command Tracking Capability for PMSG MV Wind turbines

  • This paper proposes a Direct Power Control (DPC) scheme of improved command tracking capability for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) Medium Voltage (MV) Wind Turbines. Benchmarking is performed based on a neutral point clamped three-level back-to-back type voltage source converter. It is introduced to design the DPC modeling and propose DPC scheme of a three-level NPC (3L-NPC) converter. During the fault condition in wind farms, the proposed control scheme directly controls the generated output power to the command value from the hierarchical wind farm controller. The proposed control scheme is compared with conventional control scheme as respect to loss and thermal analysis. The DPC scheme of improved command tracking capability is confirmed through PLECS simulations. Simulation result shows that proposed control scheme achieves a much shorter transient time in a step response of generated output power. The proposed control scheme makes it possible to provide a good dynamic performance for PMSG MV wind turbine to generate a high quality output power under grid fault condition.

  • In this paper, the optimal fuzzy controller of exciter and governor in synchronous generator improve the stability of power system with varying loads and disturbances in power system. Parameters of the proposed fuzzy controller were optimally self-tuned by the steepest descent method and were applied to power system stabilization. The related simulation results show that the proposed control technique are more powerful than the conventional ones for reductions of undershoot and for minimization of settling time.

  • This paper describes the operation mode development for the grid-tied PMSG(permanent magnet synchronous generator) wind power system combined with a battery energy storage. The development of operation modes was carried out through simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software and experiments with a 10kW hardware prototype. The detailed simulation models for PMSG wind power system and battery energy storage were developed using user-defined models programed with C-code. A 10kW hardware simulator was built and tested in connection with the local load and the utility power. The simulation and experimental results confirm that the grid-tied PMSG wind power system combined with battery energy storage can supply highly reliable power to the local load in various operation modes.

  • 자여자식 동기 발전기에 비해, 영구자석 내삽형 동기 발전기는 순간적인 부하 단락 시에도 지속적으로 여자기에 여자 전원을 공급할 수 있어 큰 부하 변동에도 안정적으로 발전기를 운전할 수 있게 해 준다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 전동기의 해석 프로그램을 개발하고, 이로부터 유전알고리즘을 이용하여 설계프로그램을 개발하였다. 영구자석동기 발전기의 목적함수를 효율로 두었으며, 발전기의 형상을 변화시켜 제약 조건을 만족하는 최대 효율을 갖는 1kW급 영구자석 내삽형 동기 발전기의 설계치를 제시하였다.

  • 전기를 에너지원으로 사용하는 각 종 부하는 가정, 공장 및 상가 등에 널리 분산되어 있고, 여기에 전기를 생산 공급하는 발전기도 지역적으로 분산되어 병렬운전이 되고 있다. 새로운 발전기가 병렬운전에 참여하기 위해서는 기존 운전되고 있는 전력계통과의 전압, 주파수, 상회전, 위상이 일치하여야 한다. 만약 이들 조건이 갖추어지지 않은 상태에서 임의 병렬 접속을 시도하게 되면 해당 발전기는 물론 전체 계통에 충격과 손상을 초래할 수 있다. 양측의 전압과 주파수 비교는 상용 계측기를 사용하여 비교적 쉽게 할 수 있느나, 상회전 방향과 위상차의 판별에는 세심한 주의가 필요하다. 최근의 발전기에는 병렬 운전 조건을 자동으로 조정, 확인을 하는 장치를 채용하고 있으며 구체적인 회로구성과 동작원리를 여기에서 살펴보았다. 병렬 접속이 이루어진 후 발전기 별 전력 분담과, 계통 주파수 변동에 따라 자동으로 발전기 출력 제어가 이루어지는 기능이 터빈 조속기 측에 설정되어 사용된다.

  • Theoretical analysis of transient torsional vibration was started from early 1960's for high power synchronous motor application. Especially, its simulation and measuring techniques in marine engineering field have been steadily studied by manufacturers of flexible coupling and designers of four stroke marine diesel engine. In this paper, the simulation method of transient torsional vibration of four stroke marine diesel engine using the Newmark method are introduced. (omitted)

  • The superconducting synchronous motor or generator mostly has high permeability iron only around outer yoke portion. Therefore, if excitation voltage (Back E.M.F) is calculated from 2 dimensional magnetic field distributions, it can be largely different from actual value due to additional voltage originated from end coils. In order to calculate the excitation voltage more accurately, 3 dimensional magnetic field calculation is necessary for including the end coil effect from large air-gap structure. The excitation voltage can be calculated by stator (armature) coil linkage flux originated from rotor (field) coil excitation, but it is difficult to calculate the flux linkage exactly because of complicated structure of the stator coil. This paper shows a method to calculate the excitation voltage from 3 dimensional magnetic energy that can be calculated directly from volume integration of magnetic flux density and field intensity scalar product through FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis software.

  • In this paper, a low-power 1Kb synchronous EEPROM is designed with flash cells for passive UHF RFID tag chips. To make a low-power EEPROM, four techniques are newly proposed. Firstly, dual power supply voltages VDD(1.5V) and VDDP(2.5V), are used. Secondly, CKE signal is used to remove switching current due to clocking of synchronous circuits. Thirdly, a low-speed but low-power sensing scheme using clocked inverters is used instead of the conventional current sensing method. Lastly, the low-voltage, VDD for the reference voltage generator is supplied by using the Voltage-up converter in write cycle. An EEPROM is fabricated with the $0.25{\mu}m$ EEPROM process. Simulation results show that power dissipations are $4.25{\mu}W$ in the read cycle and $25{\mu}W$ in the write cycle, respectively. The layout area is $646.3\times657.68{\mu}m^2$.
