  • In the COVID-19 era, it was implemented to be used as a basic material for setting the direction of learning support and student guidance for university institutions and professors who are experiencing confusion. The purpose of this study is to compare the actual status of daily-routines of COVID-19 period, general semester period, and vacation period, and to examine whether there is a difference between the period of general semester and COVID-19 period, and whether there is a difference in daily use of COVID-19 period depending on grade. For this reason, a questionnaire survey was conducted from April 23 to 29, 2020, targeting students of University A, which is a small-scale technical centered university in the region, and 754 students answered. As a result of the study, first of all, when we looked at the trends in the use of daily-routines by period of general semester, vacation period, and COVID-19 period, the trends of the general semester period and COVID-19 period were similar in the areas of learning and self-development. Second, there were statistically significant differences in sleep, relaxation, learning and other areas between the period of the general semester and the duration of COVID-19. Third, there were statistically significant differences over grade in relaxation, learning, development, and other areas.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the decision-making behavior of a mathematics teacher in science academy of Korea by applying the framework of class analysis through the theory of goal-oriented decision-making. To this end, we selected as the participant a mathematics teacher in charge of the class of basic calculus of science high school for the gifted in the metropolitan area, and observed the teacher's lesson. Based on a questionnaire derived from previous studies, we analyzed goals, orientations and resources of the teacher. Research results show that there are certain teaching routines by analyzing the behavior patterns that appear repeatedly in the teacher's lesson. Also we understand that it can be used on goals, orientations and resources of the teacher to adequately explain his teaching routine. In the present study, in particular, it was found to have a similar but partially different routines to the teaching routines shown in the study of Schoenfeld. From these findings, We can derive the implications that the theory of goal-oriented decision making can be suitably used as analytical tool for understanding the behavior of the teacher who pursue a productive interaction in mathematics lesson in Korea.

  • The premise of the study is that teacher communities or teacher interest groups are one of the representative examples of Communities of Practice (CoP) formed by teachers who engage in the process of collective learning regarding science teaching. Based on the theory of CoP, we investigated and interpreted the process of identity development of six science teachers who have been actively involved in teacher communities. We conducted 2-3 individual interviews with the teachers in order to explore their narratives and personal experiences of being involved in the communities over the years. Results indicated that a teacher community is a place where the teachers not only generated and shared repertories of ideas, documents on teaching and learning, or routines (i.e. practices), but also formulated a set of relationships through social participation. Teacher communities actively provide the teachers a sense of joint enterprise and identity, and where the teachers have an opportunity to develop themselves personally and professionally as science teachers playing major roles in their communities.

  • This article examines the constitutional characteristics of the works in the "Shinbi Apartment" (Mysterious Apartment) series produced by Tooniverse, a domestic animation channel, and considers the meaning of the contents of the ghoststory (鬼神談). The "Shinbi Apartment" series is a horror animation for children. It was produced for the first time in Korea and recorded high ratings. Additionally, it is different from Japanese horror animations that were dubbed and broadcast in Korea in terms of composition and narrative direction, and it succeeds in the form and direction of the traditional Korean ghost story. "Shinbi Apartment - The Secret of Ghost Ball" enriches narrative stories by embracing the structure of the "female ghost story" in traditional ghost stories while following the form of ghosts that suddenly pop up in the daily routines of contemporary ghost stories. The ghost's shape, which has a bizarre and unpredictable aspect, embodies the ghost as the object of fear that modern horror stories intend. However, it does not stop there, but puts the attention on the hero who focuses on the emerging ghost and listens and communicates with it, placing the emphasis of the story on communication, understanding, forgiveness, and reconciliation. The structure and contents of the unique story of "The Secret of Ghost Ball" contribute to the transformation of the ghost into a subject of friendliness and entertainment, not merely as one of shock, fear, and anxiety. Additionally, as the concept of "child" is being created, the custom of modernity, which deals with the story of ghosts in the dimension of teaching and edification, is also manifested in "The Secret of Ghost Ball." In other words, through the figure of the devil, it is to continue the lesson of the story by revealing the adventure, the courage necessary for the "child," and the boundaries for substance and appearance. The "Shinbi Apartment" series has also contributed to the success of ghosts as commercial contents. The structure of the story and its characters have been actively used as educational tools and toys for children. It can be said that ghost culture contributed to this popularization by establishing a base for enjoying ghosts for amusement and entertainment.
