  • We introduce the Joint spectrum on the complex Banach space and on the complex Hilbert space and the tensor product spectrums on the tensor product spaces. And we will show ${\sigma}[P(T_1,T_2,{\ldots},T_n)]={\sigma}(T_1{\otimes}T_2{\otimes}{\cdots}{\otimes}T_n)$ on $X_1{\overline{\otimes}}X_2{\overline{\otimes}}{\cdots}{\overline{\otimes}}X_n$ for a polynomial P.

  • We study Einstein warped product spaces. As a result, we prove the following: if M is an Einstein warped product space with base a compact 2-dimensional surface, then M is simply a Riemannian product space.

  • We describe the Haagerup tensor product ${\ell}^{\infty}{\otimes}_h{\ell}^{\infty}$ and the extended Haagerup tensor product ${\ell}^{\infty}{\otimes}_{eh}{\ell}^{\infty}$ in terms of Schur product maps, and show that ${\ell}^{\infty}{\otimes}_h{\ell}^{\infty}{\cap}\mathbb{B}({\ell}^2)$(resp. ${\ell}^{\infty}{\otimes}_{eh}{\ell}^{\infty}{\cap}\mathbb{B}({\ell}^2)$) coincides with $c_0{\otimes}_hc_0{\cap}\mathbb{B}({\ell}^2)$(resp. $c_0{\otimes}_{eh}c_0{\cap}\mathbb{B}({\ell}^2)$). For $C^*2$-algebras A, B, it is shown that $A{\otimes}_hB=A{\otimes}_{eh}B$ if and only if A or B is finite-dimensional.

  • In this article we make a local classification of n-dimensional Riemannian manifolds (M, g) with harmonic curvature and less than four Ricci eigenvalues which admit a smooth non constant solution f to the following equation $$(1)\hspace{20}{\nabla}df=f(r-{\frac{R}{n-1}}g)+x{\cdot} r+y(R)g,$$ where ∇ is the Levi-Civita connection of g, r is the Ricci tensor of g, x is a constant and y(R) a function of the scalar curvature R. Indeed, we showed that, in a neighborhood V of each point in some open dense subset of M, either (i) or (ii) below holds; (i) (V, g, f + x) is a static space and isometric to a domain in the Riemannian product of an Einstein manifold N and a static space (W, gW, f + x), where gW is a warped product metric of an interval and an Einstein manifold. (ii) (V, g) is isometric to a domain in the warped product of an interval and an Einstein manifold. For the proof we use eigenvalue analysis based on the Codazzi tensor properties of the Ricci tensor.

  • In this paper we investigate the barrellednes of some spaces of X-valued measures, X being a barrelled normed space, and provide examples of non barrelled spaces of bounded linear operators from a Banach space X into a barrelled normed space Y, equipped with the uniform convergence topology.

  • The Clifford algebra of a direct sum of real quadratic spaces appears as the superalgebra tensor product of the Clifford algebras of the summands. The purpose of the current paper is to present a purely settheoretical version of the superalgebra tensor product which will be applicable equally to groups or to their non-associative analogues - quasigroups and loops. Our work is part of a project to make supersymmetry an effective tool for the study of combinatorial structures. Starting from group and quasigroup structures on four-element supersets, our superproduct unifies the construction of the eight-element quaternion and dihedral groups, further leading to a loop structure which hybridizes the two groups. All three of these loops share the same character table.

  • Let U, V and W be complex vector spaces of dimensions 3, 3 and 4 respectively. The reductive algebraic group G = PGL(U) $\times$ PGL(W) $\times$ PGL(W) acts linearly on the projective tensor product space (equation omitted). In this paper, we show that the G-equivalence classes of the projective tensors are in one-to-one correspondence with the PGL(3)-equivalence classes of unordered configurations of six points on the projective plane.

  • In this paper, for discrete groups G and K, we show that the cohomology of the complex of projective tensor product B*(G)⨶B*(K) is isomorphic to the bounded cohomology Ĥ*(G × K) of G × K, which is the cohomology of B*(G × K) as topological vector spaces, where B*(G) is a complex of bounded cochains of G with real coefficients ℝ. In fact, we construct an isomorphism between these two cohomology groups that carries the canonical seminorm in Ĥ*(G × K) to the seminorm in the cohomology of B*(G)⨶B*(K).
