3차원 직조형 열가소성수지 복합재료 제조 및 특성화 (Fabrication and Characterization of 3D Woven Textile Reinforced Thermoplastic Composites)

  • 본 논문은 열경화성수지 적층 복합재료의 낮은 충격 특성과 층간 분리 현상을 개선하고자 열가소성 수지 및 3차원 직조 프리폼을 사용한 복합재료 제조와 물성 특성화에 대한 것이다. 새로운 기술인 co-braiding 성형법으로 열가소성 PEEK 섬유와 탄소섬유를 혼합한 섬유를 제조하였으며. 층간 분리 억제 특성을 현저하게 향상시키기 위하여 두께방향의 섬유를 가지는 3차원 직조형 프리폼을 제조하였다. 혼합섬유로 제조된 프리폼에 열성형 공정을 적용함으로써 열가소성 복합재료를 제조하였으며. 혼합섬유의 PEEK 섬유는 용융온도에서 용융되어 탄소섬유 사이로 함침이 완벽하게 일어남을 확인하였다. 또한, APC-2/AS4 프리프레그를 사용한 준 등방 적층 복합재료를 제조하여 3차원 직조형 열가소성 복합재료의 특성과 비교하였다. 항공기 소재로서의 적용 가능성을 알아보기 위하여 open hole 인장시험, 충격시험, 및 충격 후 압축시험 등의 결과를 통하여 3차원 직조형 열가소성 복합재료는 기존의 적층 복합재료보다 우수한 내 충격성 손상허용치를 가짐을 보였다.

Back-Projection을 활용한 홍삼 내부 측정 시스템 (A Red Ginseng Internal Measurement System Using Back-Projection)

  • 본 연구는 홍삼 등급 판정을 위한 내부 상태 및 조직의 치밀도 분석 방법에 관한 것이다. 홍삼 내부 측정을 위해 1990년대 이후부터는 자기공명영상법(MRI), X-ray 판별 등의 비파괴 검사 방법에 대한 연구가 다양하게 이루어졌지만, 등급 판정에 가장 중요한 내공(內空), 내백(內白)을 파악하는데 어려움이 있어 정확한 내부 판정이 불가능하였다. 그리하여 본 연구에서는 적외선 조명 환경의 폐쇄형 영상 취득 장치를 제작하고 내공, 내백의 유무와 직경을 파악할 수 있는 내부 측정 시스템을 개발하였다. 제작한 장치는 홍삼 내부 투과율이 높은 950nm 파장대역의 적외선 조명, 적외선 대역 촬영이 가능한 카메라, 카메라에 홍삼의 초점을 자동제어 할 수 있는 Y축 제어 액추에이터 그리고 홍삼을 $1^{\circ}$의 간격으로 $360^{\circ}$ 회전하며 영상을 취득할 수 있는 회전 액추에이터로 구성이 되어있다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 Y축 액추에이터에서 Auto-Focus 알고리즘을 수행하여 홍삼의 크기와 두께 변화에 따라 객체의 선명한 초점을 자동으로 맞춰준다. 그다음 홍삼을 $1^{\circ}$ 간격으로 $360^{\circ}$ 회전하며 총 360장의 홍삼 영상을 취득하면 라돈 변환(Radon transform)을 통해 사이노그램(Sinogram)으로 재구성하고, 역 라돈 변환(Inverse Radon transform)을 통해 단층영상복원(Back-projection) 알고리즘이 수행되어 홍삼 내부 영상을 획득하였다. 알고리즘 수행 결과 홍삼 두께나 모양에 관계없이 내부 단면영상 획득이 가능하였고 영상을 통해 내공, 내백의 유무와 직경을 파악할 수 있었다. 추후 10,000개 이상의 다양한 모양과 크기를 가지는 홍삼에 대하여 내부 영상을 취득하여 등급 판별 기준을 적용한다면 신뢰성 있는 홍삼 등급 자동화 측정 방법으로 사용가능 할 것이다.

  • Recently, research on precise parts required in aerospace, ship, and automobile industries has been actively conducted. In this paper, electron beam drilling machining parameters were selected and experiments were conducted to compare processing characteristics analysis according to machining parameters through machining experiments of a vaporization amplification sheet to which STS 304 was applied. Also, as a result of measuring the machining. As the thickness gradually increased, it was confirmed that the electron beam could not reach the vaporization amplification sheet and thus melted on the surface of the material. As a result of the experimental analysis, it was analyzed that the vaporization explosion reaction of the vaporization amplification sheet was not normally performed due to the working distance (WD) according to the material thickness.

800 MPa급 무예열 용접재료의 폭파변형시험 (Explosion Bulge Test of 800 MPa Grade Pre-Heat Free Welding Consumables)

  • The Cu-bearing PFS-700 steel which has yield strength over 700 MPa was developed to replace the existing submarine structural material, HY-100. PFS-700 steel has good combination of mechanical properties and superior weldability which can be welded without pre-heating before welding. Application PFS-700 steel to submarine or battle ship will give a great reduction of cost by removing or lowing pre-heating. To develop pre-heat free welding consumables that matches and take advantage of PFS-700 steel, new welding consumables have been designed for the GMAW, SAW processes and explosion bulge test(EBT) were conducted to see the reliability of welded structure. All welding was conducted without pre-heating before welding, the inter-pass temperatures were below $50^{\circ}C$ for SAW50 and $150^{\circ}C$ for GMAW and SAW150. All EBT specimens show over 14% reduction of thickness without through-thickness crack or propagation of crack to the hole-down area. Tensile properties for all welding conditions show higher(GMAW) or similar values(SAW50, SAW150) to the base metal. Charpy impact values for the weld metal also show 163.5J(GMAW), 95.4J(SAW50) and 69.0J(SAW150), which meet the goal, 50J, of this project.

티타늄 첨가강의 연주 노즐막힘 기구 (Nozzle Clogging Mechanism in Continuous Casting for Titanium-Containing Steel)

  • In order to provide the mechanism of nozzle clogging, recovered nozzles for high strength steel grade were examined carefully after continuous casting. The thickness of clogged material in SEN is increased in the following order: from the bottom to the top of the nozzle, upper part of slag line, and the pouring hole. Nozzle clogging material begins to form due the adhesion of metal to nozzle wall, the decarburization, and reduction of oxide in the refractory by Al and Ti in the melt. The reduction of oxide in the refractory by Al and Ti improves the wettability of the melt on the refractory and forms a thin Al-Ti-O layer. Metal containing micro alumina inclusions is solidified on the Al-Ti-O layer, and the solid layer grows due to the heat evolution through the nozzle wall. Thermodynamic calculation has been made for the related reactions. The effect of superheat to the nozzle clogging is discussed on ultra low carbon steel and low carbon steel.

  • The progressive die are multiple operations performed by means of a die having above two stages, on the each of stages performs a different operation as the sheet metal passes through the die hole. In the field of design and making tool for press working, the progressive die for sheet metal (STS 304, thickness : 0.5mm) is a specific division. In order to prevent the defects, the optimum design of the production part, strip layout, die design, die making and tryout etc. are necessary. They require analysis of many kinds of important factors, I. e. theory and practice of metal press working and its phenomena, die structure, machining condition for die making, die materials, heat treatment of die components, know-how and so on. In this study, we designed and constructed a progressive die of multi-stage and performed try out. Out of these processes the die development could be taken for advance. Especially the result of tryout and its analysis become the characteristics of this paper (part 1 and part 2) that nothing might be ever seen before such as this type of research method on all the processes. In the part 1 of this study we treated die design mostly.

Mechanical Tenacity Analysis of Moisture Barrier Bags for Semiconductor Packages

  • We have been using Moisture Barrier Bags for dry packing of semiconductor packages to prevent moisture from absorbing during shipping. Moisture barrier bag material is required to be waterproof, vapor proof and offer superior ESD (Electro-static discharge) and EMI shielding. Also, the bag should be formed easily to the shape of products for vacuum packing while providing excellent puncture resistance and offer very low gas & moisture permeation. There are some problems like pinholes and punctured bags after sealing and before the surface mount process. This failure may easily result in package pop corn crack during board mounting. The bags should be developed to meet the requirements of excellent electrical and physical properties by means of optimization of their raw material composition and their thickness. This study investigates the performance of moisture barrier bags by characterization of their mechanical endurance, tensile strength and through thermal analysis. By this study, we arrived at a robust material composition (polyester/Aluminate) for better packing.

  • A three-dimensional(3D) Monte Carlo simulator for boron ion implantation into <100>single-crystal silicon considering the mask structure has been developed to predict the mask-dependent impurity doping profiles of the implanted boron at low energies into the reduced area according to the trend of a reduction in the size of semiconductor devices. All relevant important parameters during ion implantation have been taken into account in this simulator. These are incident energy, tilt and rotation of wafer, orientation of silicon wafer, presence of native silicon dioxide layer, dose, wafer temperature, ion beam divergence, masking thickness, and size and structure of open window in the mask. The one-dimensional(1D) results obtained by using the 3D simulator have been compared with the SIMS experiments to demonstrate its capabilities and confirem its reliability, and we obtained relatively accurate 1D doping profiles. Through these 3D simulations considering the hole structure and its size, we found the mask effects during boron ion implantation process.
